  1. These shows sound pretty decent. I just wish Marty's Party was making a return! I know many KICers enjoyed this show, as well as the kids! haha And I am glad Flashback Totally 80s has retired. I think it's run it's course. The songs were good, but after a while it just got old.
  2. I wish Kings Island would hold some sort of contest for people to come up with a new unique slogan. It would be nostalgic of how the park was actually named. And it would be a great way for people to get excited about Kings Island and get people thinking about Kings Island a lot, trying to come up with slogans.
  3. Although I would like this slogan better if it was less of a pun. I would like it more if it was just Kings Island, The One and Only!"
  4. What's all the complaining about? It's not THAT bad. They probably changed it because everytime some worker in the park would say Kings Island Where Else? A KICer would yell Cedar Point!
  5. Although, Diamondback was infact 'New in 2009' just like the website states. So this could be the 2010 page. It's not likely, but I just thought I'd throw it out there. And another thing to put out there, if the park plan(s)(ned) to take down Son of Beast, why wouldn't they have just taken it off the website when they edited the "Notice: this ride is closed" on the website?....
  6. Honestly I don't think the names are THAT bad. I hated the new names for Drop Zone, Face/Off, etc. But now I don't even care. I call them by their new names without even thinking about it. So I am sure we will all get used to them eventually. Besides this is for a kids area, maybe they are keeping the names simple so that the kids can get used to the new names faster.
  7. I had a Kings Island dream last night. It was opening day, and we were walking around the park. We were somewhere in Coney Mall, when we saw Son of Beast start running with people on it! So we sprinted all the way over to the entrance, and started to get into the line. Then I woke up. I wish I wouldn't have, I would have loved to finish that dream!
  8. Maybe I'm looking to far into this, but I'm taking this as a good sign for Son of Beast EDIT: Well, nevermind apparently this is the 2009 Map.
  9. Mmmmmm......I could go for a blue imitation soft serve ice cream right about now. I am addicted to blue "icecream"! It's so good. I get it every time or at least every other time I go to Kings Island in the summer.
  10. 7th Portal was really cool when it used to run in Action Theater. It would be nice for it to make a return. I don't care what movie they pick though, I just don't want AT to be closed.
  11. I wish CF would turn the Diamondback webcam over to the right, so we could get a view of Nick Universe/ Planet Snoopy, to see how that is coming along so far, if there are any visible changes as of yet.
  12. I've never actually stayed at a room in GWL, so I wasn't sure how visible the rides were from there. Thanks for clearing that up though!
  13. Can't more of the ride be seen from Great Wolf Lodge, then from the road? If so, I think we would know by now if they were removing smaller sections of the ride right now, such as the rose bowl.
  14. Most of those names are okay for the most part. Just very generic. AS of right now, I am hoping these are not the real names. Like Interpreter said, the Train Station would be very confusing, and in my opinion it would just be way to generic.
  15. The off season is slowly getting shorter day by day. If SoB's fate was, to be demolished, I wonder if they could have it done before the park opens in April. I'm not sure how long it would take to demolish a ride the size of Son of Beast. I'm still hoping it reopens as if nothing happened.
  16. I think Great Wolf Lodge would be pretty cool. We could all stay like Saturday night, and all hang out in the waterpark and arcade and everything.
  17. I was of course too young to experience the original Winterfest, but the 2005 version was excellent in my opninion! I loved Santa's Toy Factory. The performers scattered throughout I-Street were great, such as the magician and the stilt walkers. People love doing Christmas things with their families and Kings Island is the perfect place! Two of the best memories I have of Winterfest is watching the light show on Swan Lake and drinking hot chocolate under the large heaters outside Starbucks. I loved Winterfest and would be so happy if it returned! We weven went on a night that the Ice-Rink was closed due to the ice being too uneven. We still had a great time! I really hope it does return some day. The park felt magical and got you in the holiday spirit!
  18. It probably would get abused, but it's not like it can hurt anything. I imagine if it does get enabled every single one of Interpreters posts will have like at least 20+ Positive Votes. haha
  19. The post karma thing doesn't even work yet. I tried to test it out and it said "Action Failed: You Have Reached your Positive Post Quota For The Day"
  20. Actually I don't believe I did that at all in my post? Maybe you would like to provide an example? Some members were saying that us members that enjoy Son of Beast are "crazy or insane". Or that the ride must "change" when we get on it because they've NEVER had a good experience on the ride. All I did was jokingly say maybe the ride changes for you when you get on it, such as the wheels turning to squares. Also my comment about paper and toothpick spines was a joke hence the winking emoticon. I can speak my opinion on these forums, even though I don't agree with you and the Son of Beast haters. Big deal. Get over yourself.
  21. Or...some people are normal, some have spines of toothpicks and tissue paper.
  22. ^ Well that wasn't a completely unnecessary post, now was it? And my ride was great by the way! As a ride on Son of Beast usually is awesome! I can't wait for them to make an announcement about the ride (if that even happens), I really want a ride on ol' Sonny next season. It feels like it's been forever since I've been on Son of Beast, and I really really want a ride on it! I really don't understand how people think Son of Beast is like riding an 80mph jackhammer. People say "oh, how is the ride so much better for you than it is me? What, does it calm down when you get on??" My question for you is how do you think it's that rough? Do the wheels on the car turn into squares when you guys get on...? I don't really get how people could think it is like a giant shaking you or riding an 80mph jackhammer.
  23. Thse store is now officially linked off of Kings Islands Homepage. Right under "Upcoming Events" it says "Kings Island Marketplace!" http://www.visitkingsisland.com/#actions http://www.kimarketplace.com/
  24. Roughest: Meanstreak Most Hated on by other people: Son of Beast, I don't think it is painful whatsoever.
  25. I absolutely agree 100%. I picked that the roughness was like going 30 miles and hour over small bumps with good suspension though, because it is a wooden coaster. However I find it no rougher than The Beast or The Racer. I love Son of Beast, and do not find it painfully rough WHATSOEVER. It is an amazing ride that is truly a masterpiece.
