I think it's neat that they asked for my input too. It surprised me actually! I am glad they did though, so I could give them some of my opinions and ideas.

Hmm.....So they ARE discussing ways to enhance the train experience...

Although I would rarely argue with you Interpreter, I have to on this one. Although I didn't ride it when it first opened, It appears as though it has gotten slower. If you watch that youtube video of the ride right before it opened, then watch a recent POV of The Beast, it appears slower in the more recent POV, especially when it is leaving the brake shed. Also I seem to remember Maureen Kaiser saying that The Beast was slowed down for safety and to keep wear and tear on the ride low. Also, weather conditions affected the braking on the old skid brakes on The Beast. If you rode in a slight drizzle while it had the skid brakes, it reduced friction and you would fly through the brakes. It seems to me that The Beast has slowed down throughout the years.

Going by this picture, it did look pretty nice when it was bright yellow and called Scooby Doo http://kiextreme.com/historyphotos/displayimage.php?album=52&pos=12

About my Action Theater question, Hopefully by "we've narrowed down some options" doesn't mean one of the narrowed down options is to keep it closed. I now have to think like this after hearing "RWW details will be here soon!" Then a month later we find out there is no RWW, which isn't THAT big of a deal because there will be other events, but you just have to think of all possibilities when the park says something.

Yeah same here. The purple really looks bad in this picture, almost grey.

Here's some more 2010 info thanks to KI's Facebook. Former Fairly Odd Coaster will be a nice fresh blue next season!

Plus, there is other stuff to look at on the train while riding it, and since you would constantly be moving, there wouldn't be too much time to stop and look for extension cords like you would walking at Cedar Point.
-
The 5@5 Questions should be up shortly (since it's almost 5pm) I can't wait to see what other information will be released today through the questions.
-
If it did end up along the woods that the train runs through(which I think is funny that everyone is jumping on the idea of it running along the train because 1 person made an error and typed Express instead of Experience ) I would hope the park would be able to hide any extension cords used for the light show enough to where you wouldn't notice them while riding the train in the day.

Thanks for pointing this out to me! I am a "Fan" of them on Facebook and didn't realise they were doing the answer the question thing. I just submitted my question about Action Theater for tomorrow. I hope it gets answered.

That's why I like your posts GoodYellowKorn. You take time and write out each one of your posts and put some thought into it. You make some great valid points. You don't just say "I hate that ride, it's a death trap, burn it!!!!11!1!" and on the other spectrum you don't say "Nuh uh, itz so coolz, don't taer it down!!" You write out your posts and put thought into them. With that being said, everyone on here knows how much I like this ride, and want it to stay. And I agree that it isn't as much of a 'hazard' as a lot of people say it is.

Wanna know what's really hideous out of the Peanuts merchandise? It's actually sort of creepy and frightening looking too. lol http://www.kimarketplace.com/12-Pig-Pen-P147C14.aspx

ARCHIVE.ORG FOR THE WIN! Thank you, I found it! No problem! I occasionally have some useful input lol

They used to have a download for it on the old PKI Asylum website, but then they shut down, so I wouldn't know where to find it....

Now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever smelled ACTUAL stale Cool Ranch Doritos. That's just what we were saying for the joke. So I guess a more accurate way of putting it would be, smelling any kind of Cool Ranch Doritos bring back memories of that day.

LOL Good times! My pits are still fresh and bacon-y. Any time I smell stale cool ranch doritos, I think of the line for The Crypt haha.

If I had known that the park had previously sold this shirt in the park then I would not have brought it up. I thought that it was a new item, but after being corrected about it being an old item there's not really much to say about it. My bad!
-
That's true, but as you can tell, NU is covered up by the "Kings Island" letters. Probably to cover up all the Nick stuff. There is no proof. I was just merely pointing out the fact that Kings Island is selling Merchandise with a map with Son of Beast on it. Although, I don't really know why they would be selling shirts with old park maps on it...? Cedar Pointer I've never seen it before, but thanks for clearing that up. So, I guess this thread can go back to being dead since this is nothing new.

Interesting new tidbit. There's a brand new T-Shirt on KIMarketplace, that I'm pretty sure has never sold in the park before. It features the park map as a background and Son of Beast is clearly on this brand new T shirt. http://www.kimarketplace.com/Wish-You-Were-Here-T-Shirt-Navy-Blue-P89C5.aspx Click "See More Images" to get a zoomed in view. Not saying this is or isn't a clue, I was just pointing it out!

That's great to hear! I am glad everyone who could go go, went and showed their support for the park. I did not get to go, but I am glad other people did!
-
I wish I could go, but I can't. Make sure you guys set 'em straight! I sent an email again, so I sort of helped out a little.

We may see what the Paramount parks could have looked like,if the new Paramount Parks overseas are ever built. The concept work for those parks looked awesome! Concept artwork can be seen here http://seoulplay.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/para1.jpg

That really is a great idea. A new topspin to put in place of the Giant Top Spin, would be great, as well as the addition of the fire and the rocks, and the water. I would even be happy if they tore down just the ride section of the building, but kept the line enclosed. That way they could face this new topspin toward the midway, and it would provide a great way for people to watch the ride in action and draw guests in.
