That's what was so good about it though, all the small details that reminded me of all the fun we had. I like reading long detailed trip reports, because it's like reliving the entire day.

Awesome TR Justin! Reading this TR made me remember how much fun we had that day and how funny some of the stuff was. Even though it was a long TR I still read all of it, because that was such a fun day and it was well worth the read! Thanks for writing it!

My first ride on Son of Beast was in 2000, I would have been seven years old. Son of Beast was my first inverting coaster! So needless to say I've become attached to Son of Beast. It was one of my favorite rides in the park, and I didn't even find it painful. I will miss Son of Beast if it is torn down.

I didn't request a day off so I'll have to go through the "nameless attraction" during rehearsels and maybe a Sunday when Haunt is running. It should be a pretty cool Haunt if it's how I imagine it would be like!

Of which you can only work til 11 on those select nights, as this was the same thing that happened back when we had the Bare Bones Nights; any minors left standing had to go at eleven (although they had to leave at eleven EVERY night, unfortunately). So, on a technicality, you can be allowed to work those nights, provided said rules are still in effect. Anyway, it was a freakin' SCORCHER out there today. It felt like I was being baked in a giant oven of sorts. Also, did anyone notice that, on the calendar, the 26th is listed as closed to the general public? Perhaps that's their test day, so to speak, for their idea of closing the park down for an hour, hoarding people out, and then open it back up for the Haunt. This is true, but when I interviewed I told them that I cannot work Thursday or Sundays, so I should be good!

That sucks. Oh well, I am holding out hope that it'll reopen next season. If they were going to close it forever, why go through the trouble of saying it's closed for the rest of the season, instead of just saying "Son of Beast is closed for good"? So, I am still hoping it'll reopen next season... If it is closed forever, there better be a good replacement for it in the future!

people already complain about Cedar Fair's name choices being too generic. So why would they change a perfectly good name, Coney Mall, to something generic like The Midway. It's name is fine right now IMO

Maybe you should bring your parents to a KIC meet up at Kings Island and have them meet a few KICers and show them that not all people you meet off the internet are murderer, rapist, irresponsible drivers lol.

I am not even allowed to work on those Thursdays and Sundays. It stated in that packet you got if you were hired that 16-17 year olds CAN NOT work past a certain time, on a night when you have school the next day. Plus I would need some time to do homework on the weekends!

Most people do. If you haven't noticed, Kings Island is packed during HH. Halloween Haunt doesn't begin until 7pm anyway, so just stay at the park until then.

Maybe they're only going to run the mazes, and no rides. Didn't they run Fearfest or HH on a few Thursdays a couple years ago?...

With all the POVs on youtube, I was just curious how many people on here have ever recorded a POV on a ride when it was against the rules.. You can remain anonymous if you want. Just another pointless poll to add to the mix I "nulled" my vote BTW, which I do on all my polls.

I lost my shoe in the Diamondback station! LOL. We were in the front seat, getting ready to pull out of the station, when my flip flop just slid off my foot and bounced off the side and fell underneath the station. I've never lost anything while a ride is moving, just sitting still lol. One of the ride ops could get my flip flop out from under the station thankfully.

Yeah I would want the new OTSR design they used on CC. It seems like a greater possibility than lap bars. Vortex would probably be higher up on my list of coasters if it had new more comfortable restraints.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy I got put in Trail of Terror. I can't wait to start scaring people!

Great TR Angie! Glad you and Tom had so much fun! The crowds and the heat sound about as bad as when Ashley and I went last year. We waited 2 hours + fot TTD! I need to try Skyscraper next time I go, it looks really cool!

I'll be in the new haunt too...looking forward to it Congratulations on getting into "********* *****"! It will probably be pretty cool.
