  1. I don't see the Crypt being there for too much longer. I wouldn't want it removed if it had a better program. But honestly the way it is right now, I would rather see a nice better view of Diamondback that the Crypt's building is currently blocking
  2. On Down Under Thunder, if you're laying down try shifting your weight to your feet a little bit. You will go down that slide much faster than you would normally. It actually makes it fun!
  3. Great TR! I was at the dry park from 12:00 until whenever I texted you, with a nonmember friend. So she ended up having to leave early so I remembered that you were going to be at the park today, so I texted you to see if you wanted to meet up. I am glad I did! It was a great time hanging out with you guys. This is the first time I actually met Tom, Adam, Stephanie, and Ryan. I have seen them all before, I just never actually got to talk to them. It was nice to meet all of you! Standing in line was half the fun on the rides last night, because of all the joking going on! Some of the stuff was hilarious! lol The line jumping for Diamondback was pretty bad yesterday! When I rode it around 12:15 or so, the entire queue was full, and someone line jumped all the way from just past the entrance sign all the way over towards the lower overflow queue!!! It was pretty bad last night when I was in line with you guys too. Whenever the park has special events going on, and the park is crowded, it always seems to be full of complete idiots! Thanks again letting me meet up with you guys, I had a great time hanging out with everyone! Can't wait to do it again sometime!
  4. I read somewhere that it wouldn't be able to operate with the structure removed. I'm not sure if that's true though. Even if the structure were to be removed, I think the line would be even smaller if it kept it's current program, people would actually see how bad it is before they get in line!
  5. I'm just curious about how many people would care if The Crypt is removed. This is just for fun!
  6. Actually, I just went for a few hours today. We got on all the slides except Snowy River Rampage becasue it was closed, Coolangata Racer, and the Lazy River. We got on all the other slides and swam in the wave pool in an hour and a half! It wasn't too crowded for how hot it was, we got there at around 11:30. Also about the rivets or gromets, all the lifegaurds on the body slides today just had you roll your suit up so the metal was covered.
  7. ^ Thanks! I tried to pick music we've heard at the park, or matches the mood of the park! I'm sure some of you who said they missed the music from I-Street will enjoy the music I selected for the night time pictures of I-Street
  8. I actually like Awesome Aussie Twister. That's just me I guess. Ocassionally you'll get a face-full of water, but....
  9. Me and Ashers would be up for the waterpark sometime! You really have been missing out, Kings Islands waterpark is a lot of fun! My personal favorite slides are: Bondi Pipeline Awesome Aussie Twister Snowy River Rampage Tazmanian Typhoon and Sydney Sidewinder I HATE Coolangata Racer, I have hit my head on that slide before, and so has Ashley and my little cousin too, all on seperate occasions. They are really boring too. The lazy river is really fun if you want a nice relaxing trip, and the wave pool is fun to just swim around in.
  10. Will do! It was major fun too! EDIT: Video has now processed, so you can watch the slideshow!
  11. I just added the link to the slideshow in the first post! It's still processing on youtube, so you might have to check the link later!
  12. There's a few lights back there, but it's really creepy. On some spots, like the tunnel, it's like pitch black! You guys should try it some time.
  13. Well we planned on riding every ride in the park in one day (that we're allowed to ride, due to not having children with us!)! It was quiet a challenge, but we almost did it! The only rides we skipped were, Delirium(long line), Firehawk(Had a REALLY REALLY long line, and IMO it's not worth any wait over 20 minutes), Timmy's Air Tours, and the Sporticopters. Oh yeah, we didn't ride Son of Beast, because it was closed all day. It was really fun day, even though it was hot, it was still really fun. Since it was over a week ago I don't really remember too many details. These are in order of when we rode them. We went on June 17th, it was a Wednesday. Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle Fairly Odd Coaster (Still a fun little ride, it brings back good memories) Avatar (I like this ride, but it makes Ashley feel sick ) Plankton's Plunge Rugrat's Runaway Reptar Danny Phantom's Flyers Diamondback We stopped for a break to eat lunch. We packed it, so we had to head out to the car. Flight Deck Drop Tower Congo Falls (we rode this twice because it was so hot!) Invertigo ( Don't normally ride this one becasue usually the line takes a while, but it's really fun!) Viking Fury Adventure Express Blue Racer ( WE rode in 1-1, it was offering some AWESOME airtime!) Red Racer (Also offering some great airtime, but surprisingly Blue Racer had more!) Monster Scrambler Carousel Eiffel Tower ( I noticed they were putting us on the lower of the two platforms at the top) Then we stopped for a cold Icee and a bag of popcorn at Tower Drinks Dodgem ( These were pretty fun, much slower than a few years ago. Some kid was making the "I'm watching you sign" at us, he was like 10 ) Flight of Fear ( It was nice to be in the AC) Zephyr Spongebob Squarepants 3D Vortex ( We rode in 1-1, it was fun, but I like the back better) Shake Rattle & Roll Backlot Stunt Coaster (A fun ride, if there's a quick line) Wild Thornberry's River Adventure ( It felt nice to cool off!) Then we stopped for our Blue Icecream, they were making them HUGE Diamondback (This was our second ride on Diamondback that day, and it was great as usual! we rode in the very back) Then we rode the KI&MVRR The Crypt ( Wow, this was my first time riding it since they changed it to the new tamed down program. IT WAS HORRIBLE!!!) The Beast (It was getting dark, and it was a great night ride! The Beast is still a classic, I love it!) White Water Canyon (This was our last ride, and just as we were going up the lift at the end the fireworks were going off.) This was such a fun trip! It was fun stopping and riding all the rides we normally skip. I am going to try something different for our pictures. I decided to put them in a slideshow using Windows Movie Maker. So, I have to finish that and upload it, so expect it to be up later tonight! Thanks for reading!
  14. It was nice meeting you in the Diamondback line Kawana!
  15. Thank you! Tom, that's what I was getting at, thank you!
  16. Have you been injured by the ride? No? Then you have NO room to talk. Rode once last year. One year later, my back and neck STILL hurt, even though I've been to the chiropractor multiple times. Similar incidents have been reported by other riders. How do I have no room to talk? Just because you got injured on it, gives you more of a say in whether it should be closed? I am, as are you, entitled to an opinion. I have never been hurt on Son of Beast, I think it's an enjoyable experience, and I would like for it to reopen shortly, so I can enjoy another great ride on SoB.
  17. How would all you SoB haters like it if some GP member got hurt on one of your favorite rides, causing it to be shut down or removed? What if some idiot got hurt on Diamondback or The Beast and they caused the park to shut down those! You probably wouldn't like it very much, would you? If you don't like Son of Beast, then don't ride, it's that simple! Just because it's closed down because of one person getting hurt, doesn't mean everyone has to jump on the "Destroy Son of Beast" wagon. Some people actually enjoy Son of Beast, so don't wish it to be removed, because some people like it!
  18. I rode it the year TTD opened, and I remember there being trim breaks on the first hill.
  19. That's what I though too, but if you look at the bottom, it says seasonpass holders can pay for just the meal, so the price of the ticket would be excluded from the 37 bucks. So not to bad of a deal if eveyone has a season pass!
  20. Kings Island now offers Birthday Party packages! I don't think they've done this before. If there's already a topic about this, then a mod can delete this thread. Here's everything you need to know! http://www.visitkingsisland.com/DOCs/09ki_birthday.pdf
  21. I'm pretty sure T0PGUN was just pointing out how much room there is for rides, most people aren't talking about a path to X-Base. They do OWN the park, they can change things and move things you know?
  22. How does that defy safety regulations? and, the ambulance from Urgent Scare is closer to the lift hill anyways.
  23. Yeah, I'd imagine there'd be a lot of headbanging. It just doesn't really seem all that logical to me to have an inverted wooden coaster...
  24. Check out GordonRides to see some of their ride concepts, one of which is an inverted wooden coaster! Sounds like an interesting concept, but I don't really know how fun it would be. And people thought Son of Beast's loop was a bad idea! http://www.gordonrides.com/concepts.html
