  1. Well, the ride is pretty much pointless if it cannot have any water effects, that's what it was designed to have. Right now, you are sitting in an unthemed giant garage. No fog, not even half of the cool lights it once had, no theming, no nothing.

  2. After seeing Firefall at Great America (which was installed after the CF take over) I would really just rather The Crypt be torn down, along with the deteriorating queue. And just start over and put in a regular Topspin, facing the midway outdoors, and theme it just like Firefall at Great America. Our current Crypt can't get most of it's effects back due to licensing, and moisture problems. The queue is falling apart. The ride cycle is boring. Our Crypt sucks. They should just start from scratch.

Here is Firefall at Great America. This themeing was all done by Cedar Fair, no matter how surprising that may be! http://www.viddler.com/explore/Sacramento_Bee/videos/20/

  3. Wow. Could they be any more condescending? I would hardly say that most amusement park workers were stoners. Well, maybe a few are in in their spare time, but not while working! :P Some show performers are very talented, and go on to be famous. (Carmen Electra anyone?) I think this would be offensive to some amusement park workers!

  4. Still, I doubt seriously Kings Island won't still be around when the last poster currently here is long gone. Can I guarantee that? No. But I would think the park is safe for years to come.

I hope so, but I was just pointing out that anything could happen. It would be horrible if it did, and it's unlikely it will. I just hope it never comes to that!

  5. Once again, it was simply called "Ice Cream" when the area was known as Nick Universe. So it's not like this is another one of Cedar Fair's generic name changes. It was called that before they owned the park. However, when it was HB Land, it was known as Huckleberry Dairy

  6. You mean like that Canadian internet services provider with the pesky URL?

    http://www.kingsisland.com ?

^ Exactly! I have a feeling they wouldn't be using the park's new slogan any time soon though.

Some of the park's old slogans could have just as easily been placed with other businesses and still worked just the same. "America's Family Entertainment Center" could have been placed on any Amusement Park, or place for families to be entertained. "Let Yourself Go" could be placed on any buffet restaurant

  7. Tell me why it wouldn't work just as well for a fast food restaurant, a car wash or even a bar.

That being the case...I guess it beats Come and Smell The Funnel Cakes.

I don't think "Kings Island: The Fun and Only" would work very well for any other business, unless that business included Kings Island in the name :P;)

  8. That does look pretty nice! I have to admit. I didn't like the thought of PEANUTS invading Kings Island, at first. However, I always have liked Snoopy and Woodstock, but the other human characters were pretty boring. So now to my point. Now that I am starting to see that Planet Snoopy will be themed mostly toward snoopy and Woodstock, I am actually really starting to like this retheme! For some reason the Snowcone sign on the website kind of won me over. How can you look at that and not smile a little bit? and think that kids won't enjoy Snoopy and Woodstock?

  9. I actually like the slogan now. I didn't love it when we first saw it a while ago, but now that I hear it, I actually like it a lot. It [the jingle posted on youtube] sounds kind of 80s-ish. It does make me picture sunny summer days, and the rides of Kings Island.

  10. Yep, that's what those groups are trying to do...save the whole world!

Terpy, who just HAD to (and some of those groups who didn't go DID see the warnings, and still vowed not to return to Kings Island in any month, so long as nobody and no thing is off limits during autumn nights...)

Well, then that's their problem. You can't please all the people all the time. That's my opinion anyway
