What day did you ride? When I went on it Sunday it was almost in complete darkness except for the color-changing lights on either side of the ride, except for when it broke down they turned all the lights back on.

I wonder why they just didn't take off the mural, or something, instead of painting it! Maybe they will put something else over it, but this is a temporary fix! hopefully!

Well, after riding The Crypt as my second ride of the day. which was like around 10:25 or so, we were I'm guessing about 1/3 of the program through, then all of the sudden all the lights turn on while we were at the top, then they announce that "The Crypt is having technical difficulties" so we had to get off! For all the people basing their opinions on the pictures on here, it looks 100 times better in person, everything is VERY dimly lit so you can't see anything your not supposed to in the line. However the ride is a different story, they just painted the shiva mural black so it "blends in" lol! I hope the ride chamber is a work in progress! If they just add some more theming to it then it will be awesome!

So does the ride have a full soundtrack, or just techno music when it loads? Also, does anyone have an example of what the music sort of sounds like? Because when I think techno, I think, like rave techno!lol.

What I think would be really awesome, is have like a fake giant stone wall built up in front of the actual wall, and have it look kind of broken through. Then at the very top of the building where the Ice stalagtites were, have like a giant demon monster head staring down at you and have it lit up, then have like strobes and colored lights through the rest of the ride. And who knows, if The Crypt becomes more reliable than it was last year, maybe we'll see some more theming added to it! Because why would the park spend tons of money on a ride that might break down a lot? We can hope can't we? Also, i'm going to guess they removed the first row, since it already had some seats missing? That way they can have max capacity on it?

So whats the new preshow (The Bat creature) like? Is it cheezy? Also, do you think this version of the ride is as good as TRTR in it's early years? So is there any fog or anything now?

Well, I just got a suprise! My cousin just asked me if I wanted to go to Kings Island with them tomorrow! So I can't wait to see for myself! I'm not too upset about the theming, nothing hardly worked anyways! So what about the geysers, and the "lava pit"? so do they shoot up water better this year, or it all, or hold you upside down?

so there's no story to the actual ride then? that kinda sucks. Oh well. and, techno music? that sounds lame! what about music in the line? sorry about all the questions!

So is the ride chamber rethemed? or is it just like pitch black now or what?

Really? I beleive I guessed that in an earlier post a while back! lol. So could you please explain in detail what EXACTLY the ride is like now? What theiming is still there, what the program does, special effects! anything?!

So what's the music like now? The same? New? nothing at all? And what's the actual ride chamber like? What replaces the Shiva mural? Sorry about all the questions, just curious! Also, what are the special effects like now? Any fog or anything working? What about geysers? Any theming at all left in the ride chamber?

I really like how the line looks so far. I'm sure it would look even better without bright flashes going on the scenery! That way it would have a much creepier eerie feeling!

I can't wait to see pics tonight (hopefully, someone will end up posting a few) of the crypt!

If anyone's going to the park this weekend, which i'm sure ALOT of you are! Would you mind taking a few pictures of the inside of the line, and what all they changed? Thanks!

Tickets are 45 bucks at the gate. So it's almost the same price as buying them online, that way you wouldn't have to wait in a huge ticket line!

That would be good, but I'm guessing the reason they can't do that is, that they have to follow certain safety restrictions. Probably the same reason the bars that were on The Racer got changed to the current ones. It all has to do with the safety regulations the park follows, allowing for a safer park.

Some moron infront of us in a line, said " When they first opened The Beast it also had a loop, but so many people died on it they had to take it out" and this was said in seriousness! And, no it wasn't mistaken for Son of Beast losing it's loop, because this was WAY before SoB had it's loop removed, this was like in 2001. lol

I am so sick of people complaining that things need to change because of YOUR weight! There are many reasonable ways to lose weight! It's called eating right, and getting exercise! If the park starts changing to fit EXTREMELY heavy set people, then pretty soon smaller people won't even be able to ride because the restraints would have to be so huge! Don't complain for people to change things for you. Change yourself! Not trying to be mean, but it's the truth!

How excited are you about today? What will your first ride be? Your last? 3 more hours and Kings Island opens!

How was SoB running today? Anything else closed beside The Crypt?
