1.5 days at the Point is fine. What I'm saying about ERT is this: In my experience, any time you stay overnight at one of the CP properties (Breakers, the cabins, etc), you automatically recieve ERT on whichever rides they offer it for the next morning...
-
I leave for a few hours to go school shopping, and look what I miss... Oh well, thanks for doing all that research Avatar. Sorry that I forgot to call you, but I didn't think planning would work if I was away from the computer... Anyways, I still say go with the CP 2-day pass. Maverick is CF's "big thing" for 2007, and I'm sure we'd llike to ride it as many times as possible. Not to mention it's the flagship park, so lines will be extra long... Also, if we go with everybody paying for a group rate, we should get the benefit of ERT if it's offered. That's how it usually works in large group meets. Thats another reason why I want us to stay onsite of CP, because they always offer early morning ERT... As far as sponsers go, my dad's friend makes T-shirts professionally. Maybe I can ask him?

SOB: I'll add you to the list now, and change Ryan, since I now know his location... As for the annual meetup, no one ever informed me of this *crys*. However, I think a midsummer trip works better, for those of us in college. That way it won't interfere with our scheduals... Also, another route popped into my mind: Day one: Meetup at KI, and just do that all day. Lodgings still unknown. Day two: Hop on the bus, and head to CP. Lodgings at some onsite property..(Researching cheapest one) Day three: Finish up at CP,a nd then get on the bus to GL. I don't know how long we should spend there,so I don't know if we should bother with a hotel for that one. I think although this way might be more expensive, it gives us the following benefits: *2-day pass to CP *ERT on Maverick, or whatever CP offers for ERT these days... *We won't have to leave as early to get to CP, since we have 2 days on the passes...(Thus allowing those of us that want to an opportunity to sleep in) *Something else that I'm forgetting right now..

Cedar Points 2007 Project

...LIMs? With all the new launch technology, I'm suprised they brought those back. Oh well, LIMs mean one big clue: AquaTrax is back in the game... -
I visited a grand total of 6 times. I usually go more, but college and ride-opping kind of cut into my coasting season....Oh well. I got my 19 laps on Vortex, and that's all that matters in the end.

Yay double posts! To answer your question, the date is still being discussed, but I think sometime in mid-late June would work best. But yeah, you can still do the KI meetup. You'll just have to get your own ride up and back... @Beast: Not yet. Me and Avatar are making arrangements right now, and we should get to work on it later this afternoon...Also, yay for giving you your 1900th post! And also also go Herd! I'm actually in Marching band if you want to see me during one of the games...

Yes I am...Why, are you? Anyways, eddited you to the list. So far thats 5 who have been confirmed, and 2 who haven't revealed their location yet..
-
*Adds to list* Heh. I almost went to NKU, but then my parents convinced me to go to Marshall... What do you mean you can only go to KI? Is it some sort of financial problem, or are you not alloud to travel? You could still meet us for just KI, but it would be nicer if you could be on the rest of the trip...
-
THE LIST! (Everyone who's location has been confirmed and wants to go) *Reon (Cincinnati OH, Huntington WV for the schoolyear) *Avatar (Indianapolis IN) *harvesterofyoursorrow (Beavercreek OH, just East of Dayton) *hauntguy (NKU, Newport-ish KY) *PKI Beast (Huntington WV) *PhantomTheater (Cleveland OH) *SOB TOM (NKU) *BoddaH1994 (NKU) *zosoBeast (Cincinnati OH) *Rajir (Cinci) *Guest (Avatar's friend) *Guest (Reon's friend) *Guest (harvestofyoursorrow's friend) LIST PART 2! (People who are interested, but haven't listed their locations...) *KDogg There are a few more who have posted in this thead about going, but I don't know if they were joking or not (sarcastic posts)
-
That could work. I still say find out everyone's location first, but this IS a KI comunity... For busses, would greyhound work? I'm in WV for the year, so I can't exactly look in an Ohio phonebook. But I'm pretty sure Greyhound is available anywhere, and I've ridden them multiple times..
-
Seriously. The reason that I'm holding back on planning is because I dont know whos interested on going. We need to work the route around who can go, and where they live... As for the greatwolf, that was more of a treat for whos going, but I see where you're coming from, and a cheap hotel would also work...
-
Doing it the manual way: $124.99 For all the parks, including pizza and drinks at GL. I can't do hotels yet, because I don't know what route we're taking. I assume that we'll stay at Great Wolf in Sandusky between CP and GL, but I'm sure I can find a cheaper alternative. What site can I go to find deals on Coach busses. As for food on the road, we're all from the midwest more or less. We can take a poll of where to go and when...
-
Alright then, I'll have to get on that. So what do I need to find out? I know group costs for the parks, hotels, and bus, but what else is there?
-
Actually both. I mean, AZ houses SoB and Delerium.. --Reon, who seriously doesnt hate Delerium...he just hates it for destroying the King
-
I grant you the first 10 =D Could use some color, but nice none-the-less.
-
On the TT, no. I know it was meant as a joke, but Action Zone already features a spinny ride and a Drop Tower. The Topple is a combo of the two, so what would be the point? That is, unless their gonna take out Delerium and restore the Cobra to it's rightful place =D
-
*10's it* Nice shot, but I'd still rather see Vortex on a bottle...
-
Right now we're in the planning phase. Just state where you live for now, so we can figure out where a good initial meeting place would be..After we get a starting point, we can decide on a good route from there... Also, in terms of transportation: If we want to rent a coach bus, we should hold a max of 50ish people...
-
DIGNIFIED BUMP! (It's been atleast a month since my last post, yarr...) Does anybody still want to do this?
-
I'll keep that in mind if I ever get a chance to go there. But I'm hoping to reserve my theme parking next year for Cedar Fair properties. Especially if we're doing that KI Central trip *points at old dead thread he made* I should probabbly bump that some time...
-
My preferance is a mix of Photos, personal oppinions, and a bit of humor... BTW, I have a batch of photos from Camden just waiting to be developed right now. I'll add them to my trip report as soon as I get them back from Kroger =D
-
Yeah. Its like a wild mouse that goes through a haunted house at slower speeds (lots of hairpin turns..) As for you going, just tell me when. If I don't have a game to go to (stupid marching band), I can meet you there or something...
-
My bad. I assumed it was a himilaya type ride...
-
Actually, there is a sign at Little Dipper's entrance that reads "Pattle Boats". That part was meant as a joke. As for the bobs, himilaya ring a bell? They call it Top Cat or something like that...
