I'll watch for sure. any idea when the KI rides air?
-
I actually got the two oldest to reluctantly ride Diamondback last time we were there and they LOVED it! They became instant coaster fans I think we rode it 3 or 4 times that day. After that, they were ready for just about anything, even The Beast! I will say that I thought The Beast beat me up more than I could rememeber from years past. This was probablly due to the extra pounds I have put on in the years between rides. that's good news! I've found with my cousins and whatnot it can be hard to convince people to ride the "big" rides. but once they do they are hooked!

anything in Planet Snoopy should be a big hit for your kids, they have some quality rides. if they are feeling like they want to ride a coaster, I'd try Adventure Express or possibly The Racer. hope you guys have fun! I have great memories of going to Kings Island as a kid with my parents. my Dad actually tricked me into going on (what at the time was) The Beastie (now called Woodstock Express) by calling it "those little cars". I was at a pretty gullible age obviously, but it is a tactic you could try!

wow! really cool stuff coming from a younger KI fan who grew up in the 90s so some of that stuff is crazy to see. the chairlift over the park seems like it would have been cool

Luminosity, Powered by Pepsi

eager to see what type(s) of music they play. I keep picturing some type of Dayglow rave haha -
I'm glad they made it free. I missed the old days of spongebob (and even james bond!) where I could go check out a good 3-D flick. but I did not know they took out the moving seats? that's kind of a bummer, I thought those made for a very unique experience. But I guess the lines were never really too long for the FX theater and maybe they saw it as too much of a cost. Once people see the movie once or twice, I doubt they go back.

Luminosity: Ignite the Night Details

sounds like a pretty cool idea. young people throughout the area would be attracted to this. I remember in junior high and high school a lot of people around the KI area went to the "extreme" dances at the beach waterpark (RIP). if they are anything like that, I could see a good turnout- 26 replies

The Beach Closing after 27 Years

I don't think one of those would fit on the road. doesn't have to fit on the road, we just need some airspace -
The Beach Closing after 27 Years

although I don't really see it happening, I would be all for KI somehow making what was The Beach apart of their family. whether that be with a shuttle or teleportation -
I've always wanted to try one of these! can't wait. but yeah hopefully they aren't too expensive

according to The Beast book's by RL Stine, the old Kings Island amusement park had torches before the tornado came and wiped it out.

has anyone renewed their pass online yet this year? I just tried renewing my regular season pass. I entered the barcode # and when I hit submit, it says it wasnt a valid pass. I havent called into KI yet like they suggest but I was wondring if anyone else had this problem? Also I see you can renew to a Gold Pass, but has anyone renewed to a Platium Pass? that option isnt listed in the add, but I'd consider doing it since I am wanting to go to CP sometime this fall.
-
so they are revamping the waterpark and you decide it'd be a better investment to buy a pass to the Beach so you can ONLY go to waterpark? lol at least with KI you get a regular park and a waterpark of about equal value.
-
sounds like a revamping of the lazy river and for sure another wavepool and some cabana's hopefully there is more than that.
-
they didnt really elaborate but I'm hoping that the "doubling" in size would have to mean some more attractions other than Not-so-Lazy River and a wavepool

found it HURRY http://www.wlwt.com/video/29062964/detail.html

safe to say I'm in my "ultimate observing" mode. flipping through news channels and monitoring KI's site among others
-
yeah I am sure it will be as well. but I just wanted to watch the announcement if possible (I have nothing better to do )
-
are they also going to be showing the announcement? and does anyone know of a way to find it elsewhere online? I could just go to the park but I dont know where they are even doing the announcement I now see on that WLWT article that they might livestream it on their website

haha I wish you were just joking

line jumping is not a sport

Ok, really!!?!? Lets use proper grammar please, it becomes very annoying when folks purposely misuse words! Also the said expansion itself will not be the highlighted addition rather a new ride or new addition to said area and by doing so they have the opportunity to renovate/revamp the area. ha! but the waterpark additions do sound interesting. I have been wanting a water-coaster for some time after riding Great Wolf's. I would not be totally satisfied, but I think that if we get some additons to the waterpark that would be pretty cool. or it's "Tsaeb Fo Nos" or bust!
