  1. Because that worked out so well for Kat Shank... Not sure what that is? But I was (mostly) kidding anyways. I feel like moving a big woodie (giggity) would be more of a hassle than it's worth.
  2. somebody start a kickstarter and let's get this thing! ha
  3. haha Ben Stiller's description is the best. "kind of scary, but not.....once it's in your head, it's just there forever" haha I like how they can at least have fun with the fact that the song is repetitive.
  4. I'd like to see it. I never went in the past, so I'd like to go to KI for some Winter fun. I guess I should have went when they brought it back. I've been to The Beach's holiday fest before, which is a pretty good time.

  6. Wow I can't believe I just found this post. I really enjoy amusement park history and the Haunt (Fearfest!) is something I really enjoy due to the memories I have of going with my good friends in junior high and early HS. Also the history was very well done with all the information you needed, while still containing a lot. The pictures are interesting to see as well. This has made me very excited to go to the Haunt this year!
  7. I feel like there is a large group of people who pay just for admission into KI for the Haunt if they don't have a Gold Pass. Those people would probably not be very interested in paying more for a haunt maze when the others are free. I used to work at the park and got a lot of complaints that Skyflyer and Slingshot cost money to ride. Granted a decent amount of people still ride despite this, but you understand my point Sent from my Nokia Lumia 822 Windows Phone using Tapatalk
  8. It would be a cool spot for a haunt maze.
  9. I think it would be pretty neat if the fountains/international street played a lot of prestigious-sounding music or even WindSeeker-type Harry Potter songs instead of the pop hits to create more of a magical feeling. I think they might already do this to some extent though.
  10. I like how it is surrounded by trees... wouldn't be the same riding without my daughter screaming in mock horror every single time, "OMG we're gonna hit the tree!" I think LED lights AND the trees would look cool
  11. no but if it is permanent then they would hopefully have clear messaging.
  12. If it is closed for good, the sign shouldn't say "temporarily" closed. But who knows, maybe something better is in store!
  13. Ha I just graduated from OSU and know of this well! I don't understand why they think that yelling at people on the Oval will work. The anti-abortion photos are the worst.
  14. I can imagine crowds will be bad for Spirit Song. Will they also be bad on Sunday for the Bring-A-Friend day? I don't think I've ever been to the park on one of those days. I am a pass holder and was considering bringing a local friend but we would probably pass if it is going to be crazy. Maybe the questionable weather will keep it down?
  15. I am going to try to go in the next week or so just to soak up some sun. But if anyone notices anything new in the waterpark, please let me know and I will be sure to check it out!
  16. Hm I'm not sure. She may have been refunded the payments if she told them she was cancelling. Although I do not know the policy. I know when I paid for my Gold Pass in full there was a strict disclaimer that all sales are final. I would just call Kings Island and ask them. 513-754-5700. Good luck!
  17. Wow that sounds like a great trip. I actually went down to Orlando (all Disney and both Universal parks) and then Daytona Beach for Spring Break this year. We spent 2 days and hit all of Disney and one day to hit both Universal parks. We stayed at the Ramada Kissimmee Gateway in Orlando. Definitely not the Ritz, but it wasn't gross or anything and was cheap and within 10 minutes to Disney. Not much further to Universal. We were pretty strict about staying at each park from open to close so we made good time. Universal was easy to hit within one day but it was slightly rainy so you might run into a situation where you need 2 days there. I'd suggest the park hopper ticket option for all parks as it lets you easily do whatever you want when you want. While in Orlando be sure to check out International Drive. Pretty much a tourist hotspot with a bunch of restaurants, a comedy club and more. It's huge. Have a great time though, I was with my college-age friends and we still had a blast. (Epcot has beer in each country set up, we did a "tour" )
  18. Yeah that's exactly what I was getting at when I said "when maintained". I guess what I was trying to say might have been confusing. I agree if it is going to be half a**ed then I'm all for taking it out. But my "small thing that needs changed" would be to better maintain it in the first place so they don't have to get in a situation where it's better to take it out.
  19. Went to both Universal parks and all Disney in Orlando this past March for Spring Break. We were able to do 2 days at Disney and 1 for Universal and hit everything we wanted. We used up every hour of the day and didn't really break long for food etc, but it's do-able. I think we lucked out at Universal though, it was slightly rainy and almost everything except for Transformers (I think it was 3hrs+) was walk-on. Just make sure you look at what time each park closes and plan to go to the one that closes latest at the end of the day.
  20. I may be in the minority here but I actually thought Snoopys Starlight Spectacular was a great thing to have in the park. That area at night (when maintained) looked great to me and added some much needed quality seen in Disney and whatnot. It's really a shame they couldn't keep that up and running, and chose to remove it. Maybe it was axed to free up budget elsewhere for Fun TV or something? I do like the flat screens around the park, it adds a nice touch to queues. Sent from my Windows Phone
  21. I agree I would love to see some improvements made to Boo Blasters. I rode it yesterday and while fun, it could be more. I figure we wont get much in 2015 with what we spent on Bashee (I guess I could be wrong, but I'm just basing this off of previous years that I've seen) I think improvements to rides like Boo Blasters and the Action Theater would be a great idea. As long as they maintain them of course. The Guardians ride looks awesome and after going to Disney/Universal this spring I would love something like that. Sent from my Windows Phone
  22. I am pretty set on getting a Gold Pass, but am also interested in Platinum since i may make a trip up to Cedar Point this year. Is it possible to upgrade from a Gold to Platinum pass if I end up wanting to change my mind?
  23. budgets must be thin. no coaster, we just got a van! haha
  24. bring back SOB! it was too much of a high profile and fun ride (to me) to just waste. we have a whole epic rollercoaster built that could be used! here's how:
  25. That's a good movie. 4 words. Tomb Raider: The Crypt. I think I would like to at least see a weaker (but probably still fun) version of SOB (much like we saw for the last year or so with The Crypt), unless that weaker version was the loopless and new-cars version of SOB. I just keep going back to the idea that besides the problem that led to those injuries, I thought the ride was fine and it seems like there would be a way to fix that and keep a fun ride
