Maureen Kaiser e-mailed me and told me that PKI is committed to making sure the Son of Beast does reopen. They are currently running tests on the ride to see what caused accident. I hope that it opens next Spring.

It looks like a great coaster with alot of hills, a long tunnel, alot of overbanked turns,and inversions. I thought it was going to be a Diving coaster, Aquatrax, or 4th dimension coaster so I'm a little bit disappointed but I'm sure it will be alot of fun. I'm not to happy it has inversions in it because they make me dizzy, but I'll try it next year anyway. They sure spent alot for a coaster of this size if it was me I would have built more of a record breaker to boost attendence. I like the theming also for the coaster. Good job Cedar Fair.

Save the Son of Beast. It's the best ride at PKI. The park isn't the same without it. It placed in the Top 50 wooden coaster Golden Ticket Awards this year. This isn't where I would have ranked it if I had a chance to vote. My vote would have been in the Top 10 coasters in the USA.

I wouldn't buy your season pass until the middle or end of October if you want to visit other Paramount parks. What is the reason they are taking your season pass? Did they explain why they are doing this? I feel a nervous about doing this. I'll wait until Thursday September 7th, 2006 to hear the other news. I'm disappointed about Gold Pass perks being gone I hope they return.

If I buy a season pass for Paramount Kings Island I can only go to Paramount Kings Island? Are the Gold pass perks still included with the pass? I'll just wait to renew my pass until the middle of October. Are they giving vouchers or cards to you when you renew?

It looks like alot of fun. Are all the rides still open also? I'm going the first weekend of October and maybe once more before it's over depending on how well I like it. I wish Son of Beast was open so I could ride it. I miss this coaster so much. The park seems boring without it open. I hope it runs again next season. I also hope if they take it out they replace it with SOB2 the same coaster.

Paramount Canada's Wonderland website has parking passes for $28.50 why doesn't PKI or any of the other Paramount parks have them listed on their website? Why are prices and passes varying from park to park if the parks are all Paramount parks? Why are they not doing things like last year? If you buy your pass they should give you a voucher for next year or give you your card and let you keep your old card to use for the remainder of the season. Cedar Fair bought the Paramount rights and Nickelodeon rights why drop the name? I bought my season pass last season in the Fall and they gave me my pass right away that same day and they didn't take my old pass. I'm not giving them my old pass when the season isn't over yet. How will I get into the park and use my parking pass?

Why are they taking your old season pass? I keep mine every year. If I buy a KI pass I get free parking only if I give them my current season pass? How do I get in the rest of the season? Why aren't they giving you a plastic card like they do every year? Why isn't your picture on the pass? If there's no picture then anyone can use it. This sounds pretty strange to me how they're doing things this year. Why don't they have parking passes available for new season pass holders? The old web site information said they were going to sell parking passes at $34.95. I see no mention of it on the web site. It sounds to me like they are running the Paramount parks differently then the Cedar Fair parks. The Cedar Fair parks have parking passes but Paramount don't. Why??

Parking passes have been put on the passes in the past years at Cedar Point with Joe Cool club for an extra fee. Are they going to still have the Gold Pass Perks or have they done away with these also?

I'm going to be visiting Cedar Point this weekend and try to find out more information. I will probably buy the Maxx Pass Plus because I go to all 3 parks in the summer. I will probably get free parking at Cedar Point because this is my home park and there's nowhere else to park at up there. If I have to pay $10 to park my car each time I visit I'll park somewhere else. I hope they come up with a parking pass for the other parks.

Why hasn't any newspaper printed information about season passes and why isn't Cedar Point selling season passes yet and Kings Island is. I was told at Kings Island this weekend that you get free parking at the park where you buy your pass and must buy a parking pass for the other 2 parks in Ohio. If I buy a Maxx Plus Pass at Cedar Point my home park I have to pay to park each time I visit GL or KI.

I hope they work out a parking pass for all three Ohio parks because I visit them frequently throughout the season and I don't want to have to buy 3 parking passes. This is confusing I'm glad I'm not Cedar Fair. I wish they would just offer free parking to all season pass holders it would be alot easier this way. Joe Cool Club gave you parking on your season passes, and early ride time that's all. So let me try to understand this if you buy a Maxx Pass it includes all 12 Paramount/Cedar Fair amusement parks. If you want to go to water parks in Ohio, Missouri, or California is there an add on for Maxx Pass Plus? Will we have a nationwide parking pass or will we have a pass for the 3 parks in Ohio? They offered a 2 park parking pass last year for GL/CP why not 3 parks? or nationwide pass? Cedar Fair usually doesn't start selling passes until October and you usually get a voucher and have to get your season pass renewed in the Spring at the park or do it by mail. This is how they've done it for years. It's alot nicer to have it done and over with before the end of the season because then you don't have to make a seperate trip up to the park to get season pass processed. I hope they tell us soon what's going on because I'm getting worried now. Cedar Fair has Star Trek and Bonfante Gardens also on their web site as being their properties. Check out their web site. They have flags everywhere now. They should want people to buy season passes and Maxx Passes and give them perks so they will spend more money in the parks on food, souveneirs, and make the people that have season passes feel special by having the other perks as well like reserved parking, free parking-(small parks don't charge for parking why should they), bring a friend free days, walk on weekends, double ride Tuesday, Early entrance to park and waterparks. This is why I bought a season pass to Paramount and this is why Paramount used to be my favorite chain of parks. I hope Cedar Fair continues these perks now that they own the Paramount parks so they will become my favorite chain.

What slides are body slides and which are tube slides? Are the slides emptying into a pool of water 3 feet or more? Do they charge for raft rental?

I visited one weekend in May, July, and one day in September and I plan to go a few more times in October. I would like to say 10-13 days. I live rather far away and don't get to go that often. Also one of my favorite coasters is down so why go?

Judging from the track it's Intamin and probably an Aqua Trax coaster there's one in Korea at Lotte World it's called Atlantis Adventure.

I go to PKI to ride my favorite 2 coasters at the park. The Beast and Son of Beast. I visited in May/July this year and I plan on going in October again. I hope the Son of Beast is running but if not I will ride The Beast and other coasters. I hope it runs again.

I just talked to Mike Burkes president of Great Ohio Coaster Club and he said he spoke to the PR person at Cedar Point and they said they will be making an announcement on September 7th regarding season passes and Maxx Passes. I live in Ohio and I've bought Cedar Point passes for the last 10 years and they don't give any perks with their passes. They don't have walk on weekends, double ride Tuesdays, Bring a friend free days, Reserved parking, or free parking to their season pass holders. I hope they don't get rid of these perks because I will be upset. This is what made people want to buy passes. I will have to be patient and wait I guess to hear the announcement. Last year a combo pass sold for $154.95 and this included all the Cedar Fair parks and water parks so I expect the Maxx Pass to be around the same price this year. They also charged us for parking at 2 parks around $45 for the season. So I expect to spend around $200 for a Maxx pass with parking and water parks. Anymore then this and I don't know if I will buy one or not. I might just buy the Maxx Pass without the waterpark add on if they have one.

I think the Maxx Pass sounds great but it should include parking, water parks, and the small properties Cedar Fair owns like Bonfante, and Star Trek, Cast Away Bay or have the option of not including them. If they change prices now and get rid of perks then that's false advertisement and people will be ticked off and not want to buy passes to the parks. Also why can't Canada's Wonderland pass be used at other parks they are a Paramount park?

I live a half hour away from Geauga Lake and an hour from Cedar Point so I visit these parks more often then Kings Island. If they are going to offer free parking to Kings Island then why not offer it to Cedar Point and Geauga Lake also or all the parks that they own. People buy season passes because they like the perks and special treatment that Paramount offers their guests. The amusement parks are the 12 parks not Bonfante and Star Trek. The 5 seperate water parks are Soak City in California (3) Oceans Of Fun in MO, and Soak City in Ohio. Will there be an add on for the water parks? Anyone buy a pass yet from Kings Island?

There is no information on PKI.com about season passes? What about the water parks are they included in Maxx Pass? Parking passes for other parks have been available at Geauga Lake/Cedar Point in the past years. Get rid of Joe Cool Club and keep the Gold Pass perks. Cedar Fair owns 14 properties now why aren't they including all properties in Maxx Pass? What parks aren't included? Why not have free parking at all parks or sell a parking pass for Ohio parks for example Geauga Lake/CP.

The article states free parking at Kings Island only. What is going to happen with parking at Geauga Lake and Cedar Point is there free parking here also? Perks included with these also? What parks had started selling them (season passes)? They shouldn't go back on what they released. What web site did you get this information from relating to season passes 2007.

I was just at Geauga Lake and Wild Water Kingdom and inquired about season passes and they responded they had no information on season passes yet because Cedar Fair had acquired the Paramount parks this year and they hadn't worked out the details or pricing yet. I hope they let us know soon because I am visiting there Labor Day weekend and I want to get my pass very soon so I can get free parking.

I wouldn't change the Paramount perks at all. I would keep these thigs the same. I would like to see a cleaner park, more variety in regards to souveneirs/merchandise, more security in the parks, less vandalism, lower food prices, a sit down restraunt with buffet, more entertainment, new attractions added to park and water park alternately and things painted/repaired as needed.

Son of Beast is the only wooden coaster in the USA with a loop. The size is massive, speed intense, and Paramount Kings Island wouldn't be the same without Son of Beast. I hope they are going to fix the trains locking bar it's too high on the chest and very uncomfortable. Once the coaster is tested and fixed people will forget about the accident and ride it again. It's just gossip right now because Cedar Fair hasn't released any information since the accident about the Son of Beast. I hope they don't tear it down. I would rather see a rebuilt coaster of Son of Beast then a hyper coaster. We need variety in amusement parks or people will not visit them if they all are alike.

I hope it's a new tower of inner tube slides for the water park they need more of these IMO or a new swing like they put in at Valley Fair and Cedar Point this year.
