I feel the guests have went to CP or KI because it has more rides/shows/coasters/better childrens area and is cleaner and better maintained.

Does anyone have a copy of the article on May 6th, 2007. When I click on link it shows nothing. I hope the Son of Beast does open this Summer because KI isn't the same without it. I think it still will be a favorite of mine even with the loop gone. Please reopen Son of Beast I miss it terribly.

I got to the park at 10 and I left around 3 to drive back home. What time did it open? What's the problem with the ride that it can't be open with the other rides at 10 am ? How long did you wait?

I visited KI this weekend and I really missed The Son of Beast. The park isn't the same without it. I hope it opens soon. I will the first in line when it opens, whenever that will be...

I don't care what kind of trains they use just as long as it reopens this season. I miss SOB at the park. This is one of the reasons I visit KI because it's a record breaking coaster. The Beast is my favorite along with The Voyage and Son of Beast. I don't want Firehawk to replace it. When I was at KI this weekend I didn't notice any clearing of land by The Son of Beast.

I went to KI on Saturday May 26th and the line was 4 hours long. I didn't ride it on Saturday because they are only running one train and I rode it before at GL. Sunday the ride was closed all day due to mechanical problems. I'll go back probably in the Fall and ride it when they get all the cars running and get the kinks out of it.

I heard from a writer of GOCC magazine that Steel Venom is going to Dorney Park in PA for 08' and that they have installed power lines for it.

Cedar Fair has other parks other then KI to put rides in and I don't think they will put 2 coasters into KI year after year. I would hate to loose Dominator also because then we wouldn't have a floorless coaster in Ohio. Dominator is the best coaster left at GL in my opinion. If they remove it I think the attendence will drop alot more then it will this summer.

It looks like a fun family coaster. I hope to see more exciting coasters in the future again. I would like to see more 4th dimension coasters and diving coasters installed in the parks. These are a newer type of coaster and not very many parks have them.

2008-Reopen new Son of Beast without loop and new trains or rebuild it with same layout.

Does the web have a web cam to watch construction of Firehawk and progress with SOB?

The parade won't be here this year? Why not? I liked it last year. It's a nice attraction for the families to enjoy together. Most of the parks I have visited have a parade many times throughout the day.

2007-Reopen SOB and Firehawk, improve look of park with more landscaping and repainting. 2008-Water park attraction added-New tube slides 2009-Reopen campground 2010-Hyper coaster added 2011-General improvements to park- add more shows, add more sit down restraunts with good food not all fast food.

I hope it works for them. CP has room for Dominator in the parking lot. Face it CP is out of room for expansion unless they take something out of the park they are eventually going to have to move parking somewhere else and use the parking lot for rides/expansion. Dominator is a floorless coaster not a stand up coaster or terrain coaster and they aren't the same type of feel.

I think PKI needs to add a hypercoaster like Goliath to be more up to date with other parks.

I think SOB is one of the best coasters at the park and this is why I visit PKI. I love every aspect of the ride because it is different then The Beast. I hope it opens this season because the longer it stays closed the less business the park will get and people will start to question why they have a coaster in the park that is standing but not operating and less people will want to ride it if it they know it had an accident.

I enjoy the theming that the park has now and this is why I visited PKI. I hope that CF doesn't start ripping out theming because they don't want to keep the Paramount name. This would hurt the attendence in my opinion. We have enough plain amusement parks around. Keep with the theme park image for variety. This is my opinion.

Maureen hinted that SOB would not be open in April. Can she give us further details on what is happening with SOB and if it will reopen this season? I hate to think of this but it might be inevitable because of the money involved to fix the coaster and the accident last season are they going to take out SOB because they gave us Firehawk? I would hate to see this happen. I love SOB and it is one of the major reasons I visit the park. I like to ride coasters that aren't the same at every park. I usually visit KI a few times per year because CP doesn't have any good wooden coasters.

I bought my Maxx Pass at KI because I didn't want to pay for 3 parking passes. If I want to convert to the all Ohio pass in the Spring can I do this? I have already bought the passes for CP/GL so I don't see why they wouldn't do it. I'm glad they are going to a card and not a sticker.

I think Dorney will get The Villian, WOF will get Steel Venom, and hopefully Cedar Point will get Dominator and the rest of the rides will be auctioned off or torn down. This is my prediction.

I don't like the changes they are making to the park. They are getting rid of everything on the ride side and not putting anything new in except water park attractions. I think the existing steel coasters will be sent to other CF parks in the next few years and the park will close or be sold for real estate. This is my opinion. I liked the park best when Six Flags owned it they had the animals, shows, and coasters.

I'm still upset that they took out my favorite coaster from my home park without any warning and moved it to KI. I hope they have a fast pass for the ride. I'm more interested in hearing about SOB redoing, new trains, and opening date?

Unless they change the track configuration or enclose it in a building I don't count it as a credit. All they did was move it, repaint it, and change the name. I counted Kennywood Phantom's Revenge and Steel Phantom as 2 coasters because they changed the coaster. This is only my opinion.

I'm very surprised to hear they are removing Steel Venom also? Any news of this official from CF or just rumors? I think the park attendence will drop alot this year and next year they'll remove Dominator. Then in 10' the news will be the park is closing. This is my guess.
