Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
THE_BEASTmaster replied to jcgoble3's topic in Kings Island
Lol! Not really. I misread CoasterOhio's post, which I kinda repeated what he said. Boy, I wish we can delete our own posts on here. Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk -

What if we aren't getting a B&M, but a GCI wooden coaster? Then it would fit the name. Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk -

I don't think GCI would ever build something as massive as the Voyage. That's just not their style. But for the right money, who knows. They might. GCI tends to play it safe and do what they do best. GG will really push the boundaries and do insane things with their woodies. I mean look at Switchback and Hades...Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk Oh really? I give you Viper GCI's largest coaster yet.http://www.greatcoasters.com/?p=viper Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk -

I've rode Gwazi back in 2000 and I thought it was a fun GCI coaster. I guess it was getting worse since then. The other 2 GCIs I rode as well were Kentucky Rumbler at Beech Bend (my favorite GCI) and Thunderhead at Dollywood ( also a great ride too).Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk -

Doesn't the clearing kinda resemble that of Worlds of Fun's Prowler's footing placements prior to it's construction? (see photo below) Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk -
But you then had the Kings Mills Log Flume when it used to be a part of Rivertown. Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk

Terp, yeah Oktoberfest kinda dwindled, didn't it. Wish they would bring that charm back to that area.[emoji20] Speaking of theming, was Rivertown's original theme supposed to be of mining or logging? Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk
-
Here's what I think each main theme area should have as their own genre of music: International Street: Majestic music or fanfare Action Zone: Here you can play the newer pop music Coney Mall: 50s, 60s, and 70s oldies like the Bubblegum pop music Rivertown: Classic country and bluegrass music Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk
-
Do they have to use movie soundtracks? Why not just use classical majestic music like Ride of the Valkaryes or something by Bach or Mozart?Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk

That was back when Banshee was under construction, that someone mentioned he saw Intamin track on the highway and was certain it was for Kings Island.Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk -

That blimp has been flying around town since Thursday. I work at Goodwill Industries in Woodlawn and have seen it while dumping garbage. Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk -

If some of you guys are expecting an announcement this weekend, you'll be very disappointed. It'll definitely be in August because that's when 2017 season passes go on sale. Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk -
Week IV: Best Cedar Fair (Owned) Kings Island Addition
THE_BEASTmaster replied to BB1's topic in KI Polls
Banshee, Diamondback, and the return of The Bat have all been good additions that Cedar Fair did for the park and now the flying scooters have returned too. -
Your First Upside Down Coaster?
THE_BEASTmaster replied to Sonofbeast2.0's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
My first upside down rollercoaster was Vortex at Kings Island. -
I was there today at noon to get my pass renewed and you definitely can hear the scream on the ride as the train crests the lift hill.

Which part of Banshee are you most excited for?
THE_BEASTmaster replied to coasterfanatic83's topic in KI Polls
All of it. [emoji1] -
Back on topic though, I heard a Banshee advertisement on one of the local radio stations at work last night. Can't wait to scream like a Banshee soon!

It looks as if it's a cherry picker that'll be used to install the rest of the shaders for the circle.
-
I just now noticed that. Not sure what that is.

^^Looks like a quick employee meeting is taking place. Because now it looks as if it dispersed. Edit: I could be mistaken too.

Yes it will be used again as a Halloween Haunt attraction called Wolfpack.
