As of 8 o'clock this morning www.kingsisland.us no longer takes you to the Cedar Fair website it takes you to a site that lets you choose from the different paramount parks. http://kingsisland.us/kingsisland/#actions this takes you to a site that looks identical to www.pki.com

That would me really cool. They could theme it to Mision to Mars and paint the track red to match the martian sky.

And they can't take www.ki.com. Thats an office furniture supplier. So I don't think the website will be changing anytime soon.

I have a source that says the announcement isn't going to be until Feb. 3. So now i'm confused as to when the announcment willl be for X-Flight.

I think they will wait until it's up to paint it. Why paint it and then take the chance of messing up that new beautiful paint job. But wouldn't we all be shocked if they didn't paint it? jk

That's a little bit of an exaggeration. I would say Gemini has both sides open about 60% of the time. A lot of weekdays (especially in May/June and the last two weeks of August), they'll only run one side. ^I agree with you Smith, the parks aren't going to run both sides of a twin coaster if they expect attendance to be low. Running both is a waste of resources, i.e. the ride opps. They can be used on other understaffed rides.

The metal buzzing you're hearing is the lapbar lock and/or release. The "knocks and taps" I was refering to is, the driver literaly sticks his/her hand outside the drivers booth and knocks on the outside wall of the drivers booth.

Hey, the two days I did work on Racer as a send, there were very few dispatches that were not racing. The few that weren't racing were because the people getting in and out of the train were moving slow. Most of the time from what I observed it was the guests. Unless there is a major lag in one of the trains and the guests in the other train would have to wait, the drivers use a series of "knocks and taps" to let the other drive know they are ready to dispatch. P.S. If both trains are dispatched at the same time, the backwards train always wins.

Yup, I saw you. I knew you HAD to be from PKIC, or EPKI. I knew because as you drove away you were still lookin at the lot. You... you PKI addict you!! Ok...I'll admit...I am a bit of an addict, but all addicts go through withdrawls. And just cuz i work at the park and am going to college to design roller coasters doesn't make me an uber addict.......Ok... ...so maybe it does. I just had to see for myself. I'll also say that the as I drove toward GWL I had my Laptop out searching for a wireless signal, just incase there was track in the parking lot. When I finally saw the track I raced (at a safe, legal limit) toward GWL to post what I had seen. Does that make me and addict.

So Nemo, did you happen to see a small red SUV drive through the drop off lot behind you? That was me, I just didn't have a camera to take pictures with.

Well when I was up there just an hour ago it looked like there was someone in the drop-off parking lot taking pictures. I don't know if it was anyone from this PKIC but there was a guy with a camera and someone waiting in the car waiting for the cameraperson.

Wel I had time between classes and now I'm sittin in the GWL parking lot and i can also confirm multiple pieces of track sitting in the KI parking lot. Sorry I don't have any pics, my camera phone doesn't have zoom and the pics i take with it suck.

I agree with you Railrider. If they cut down any more trees i think it will be on the other side of the access road near the end of Psycho Path. Come to think of it though, I don't want them to get rid of any of Psycho Path.

I don't think this "new" area will have much to support these rides at first. Maybe bathrooms with the new ride. But I don't think we'll see much if any "supporting" locations. HA PKIVortex beat me to it.

I think X-flight should have red track since when they repainted Top Gun they painted over the red with a dull grey.

Ok, since we're going with the brady bunch theme here, how about brown supports with orange track, and then they could pad the shoulder restraints with tiedie shag carpet.

The past two years (2005 & 2006) I had bought season passes but both years I worked at the park. I think this will be the first year in quite a while I won't have a season pass, working at the park or not?

I know i'm looking forward to spring. I love snow and all but I love riding coasters more. One last thought, if the park/channel 9? turned that webcam 45 or 90 degrees to the right we might be able to see any vertical construction in Fort Cooper.
