Did I imagine this...but if I remember correctly didn't they use live actors in there one year during FearFest? I wanna say it was the first year of FearFest. Aww I miss Phantom Theater
-
No they are not. The Rugrats are. By like 10 years.
-
Are you talking about death row? That buildings still there. Has been Yes he is talking about Death Row. Before it was known as Death Row is WAS a mental asylum. The Asylum and before that it was Maze of Madness.
-
Yes Cedar Point were the Berenstain Bears. So were Dorney park and ValleyFair.

offtopic.. I understand people's frustration. I remember when Cedar Point transformed from the Bears to Snoopy. My summers, we practically lived at CP, and seeing the Bears always meant something to me, Brother Bear in particular. My dad was involved with the park back in those years so he knew just about every employee there so the girl who played Brother Bear even sent me letters over Christmas. During those winter months I'd have my Berenstain Bear books/VHS videos and wait for that CP visit. Those were back in the years where I would only ride Jr Gemini. Only other things I was interested in where the dolphins and Berenstain Bears. Never got into the coasters till a couple years later. Seemed like once I got into the coasters, CF bought Knott's and then Cedar Point begins to advertise Snoopy. I always have loved Snoopy, Hanna Barbera and some of the earlier Nickelodean cartoons..never even heard of Mickey Mouse till I was 7 when my grandpa took me to Disney World and I called Mickey a rat (cause grandpa called him that). The one time of a year trip to Kings Island would come, it was Yogi I go after the most. I loved the Rugrats cartoons, but when I saw the massive heads on the characters at the park, I decided...no. Kept myself hidden behind grandpa. When Hanna Barbera was getting transformed into entirely Nicktoons, I felt another Bears to Snoopy >.> I haven't watched Nickelodean in years cause the shows that began to show are crap compared to what I knew in Hey Arnold, Angry beavers, Rugrats (earlier years, after Dil showed up I think they began to loose their luster), Are You Afraid of the Dark, and such shows. But Nicktoons grew on to me, just as Snoopy did during my later CP visits after he shown up. And Snoopy will eventually grow onto everyone else at KI. Only real negative I see is Scooby, who's been at the park since KI opened and even he himself was on the new side. (Scooby debuted what? 1969?) I must say... one thing about Peanuts, its very easy to pick a character you relate most to. I can relate just darn near everything Peppermint Patty goes through. Tomboy, not very bright and unable to pay attention in school, friends with mostly boys (even tho her best friend was a girl). I only have 2 girls I even consider close friends.. /end offtopic

I loved that song as a kid lol

I ended up going yesterday. It was dead so everything was a walk-on...and got to ride Adventure Express 7 times in a row, lol. Didn't even start raining till around 2 then it stopped, got hot and humid again when I met up with RingMaster at Diamondback.

It is. Technically, you would be "In Favor", and, depending on the vote versus "All Against", the motion would "Carry". To "Third" a motion is to vote for favorability of the motion. Seconding is the privilege of any board member in attendance, which brings the motion to a vote. Had the motion not been 'seconded', it would have been rejected by default, requiring no vote by the attending body. Therefore, let me join you in raising my hand in favor of the agreement. ADD got in the way.. I tried reading this and my mind went... blank and began to play elevator music.

^lol thanks. Screencap from the Flashbeagle special XD

No. I forget what it was before that, but I read that earlier. Berenstain Bears. I tried looking on KI's website for PS, but no luck. I miss the Bears...they were what I grew up with :b

It's been a cool summer. I had bronchitis thanks to the weather being unable to make up its mind. Thank you Ohio!

That they do. Pirate, anyone? What about Dorney? Just to begin. . . Kingdom of the Dinosaurs Knott's Berry Tales Journey to the Center of the Earth Earthquake... uh.. Knott's Bear-y Tales was removed before Cedar Fair took over. However they took out Kingdom of the Dinosaurs which is what replaced Bear-y Tales if I remember correctly..

For Racing... One you're missing is "Get Out of My Dreams (Get Into My Car)" by Fenix Tx. I have it on my iPod

I like the shows. Ice skating show doesn't get old, probably because I love how the skaters can accomplish what they do on that little rink, lol Only one I don't care for the is the singing in the 80's show...

I'll be nice. >< Those are their assigned rides, but don't mean they will not see other rides during the course of the season. Depending on staff issues at their ride location and another, they can be moved for a day. When I worked rides, Adventure Express was my baby (and Viking Fury) but I spent some time at Son of Beast as well.

Pride night was always among one of my fave nights to work when I work during the summer. I might just go just to go this year.
-
I got one ride right before it closed. Liked it alot. The Beast however... I was in first aid.
-
I grew up on Mean Streak and I think that squeaker is worse than Sonny..
-
Tennesse Tornado, Mystery Mine, Blazing Fury, and Thunder.... I enjoyed them all. Tennessee Tornado is by far the smoothest Arrow I been on. The scenery and Smokey mountain view is beautiful! They also had some very good shows too.

Well only "idiots" make posts like that. "Double Post" and "Triple Post" More work for the mods... Just sayin'.... -
Take the time to try the Haunt attractions some of them look really good but the ones I tried last year was just plain stupid.(Urgent Scare and Cornstalkers) I know. Urgent Scare was not scary at all. It was just really gory. Kind of like that one movie... "Haunting in Connecticut". All it pretty much was a bunch of infected doctors working on infected patients which are screaming.... very scary. NOT! So what doesn't scare you or another person on this board may be the very thing that drops someone else.

I think the constant polls and the general attitude to be extremely childish. The general attitude as in the whole "zOMG Son of Beast IS THE WORST ROUGHEST COASTER ON THIS PLANET!!!!!!11111" type posts. (Or how my mind interprets them as). I like coming on, but seeing a thread where "Son of Beast" is the title is a real turnoff and I usually try to avoid it. I know some people are going to think "wtf" at my post and those who know me personally are gonna have their jaws drop to the floor. This is how I feel and it is a forum so... There are some suitable topics and make more sense as polls like "most overrated major ride" or "underrated" at least its about the whole park, not just biased singling out one lone ride. And the amount always seems to increase whenever the ride is shutdown? I'm NOT a major fan of Son of Beast but I am not a hater either. I really despised it my first ride in 2000 but still tolerated it clear till its accident, and after it reopened I was a semi regular. I believe it probably would have been better if the ride was never introduced in the first place. But then again, how far could have these parks gone? (if it were possible, the country's economy began sliding then, along with that the coaster wars was as well have ended) Way I look at it design wise, that thing is a nightmare and shouldn't be standing and never should have stood. But it is here, and I don't blame Cedar Fair for wanting to take a shot at it, being the tallest wooden coaster in the world, ya know. If your someone like me who handles 65 pound bobcats every day know I deal with far greater pain than what most people get from this ride (for most a headache). Besides those, I've handled kangaroos, a cougar, my aunt's alligators and couple other things that could otherwise kill me if startled/angered/provoked in any way. Maybe that's just me. People are entitled to their opinion, there's mine. I like reading through KIC, not active I know, but it's still interesting read through. Poor Son of Beast always seems to get the beaten path. It's not smoothest wooden coaster and it is certainly isn't the roughest either. But for some if they never had the pleasure of leaving Ohio (or the midwest for that matter) there are some woodies that make Sonny look like a teddy bear. For me the smoothest is Thunderhead at Dollywood and the roughest is a tie between Colossus and Mean Streak (Six Flags Magic Mountain and Cedar Point) Ok I'm done >_> I had an emotional day I need sleep. EDIT: fixed grammar errors... I typed this thing up real fast.
