Has it always been 3am? I was sure I had driven past the park right at the stroke of midnight and saw it shut off.

Due to some additional "tweaking" that has to be done, Wake Nation has pushed back their sneak preview from May 1st to Sunday, May 3rd. Wake Nation is an exciting new cable wakeboarding park located in Joyce Park in Fairfield, OH. Visit Wake Nation's Web Site for information on cable wakeboarding, rates, hours, information and the opportunity to check out Wake Nation for FREE!

In the past they've kept it lit up until midnight. They may keep it lit until the park is clear that night, though.

Last season I was able to purchase Backyard BBQ tickets the same day at the park at the return visitor booth near the Kings Island Theatre. That may have changed.

The only run in I had with DAFE was during the Italian Job's media day (now Backlot Stunt Coaster) they seemed like a really nice group of people. Check out their website below: http://www.dafe.org/

Well the 48 bucks gets you more than just one day. Its both days with lots of extras. To me well worth it:) not saying it is not a good deal, just seems like KI is shutting out some very loyal patrons who purchase season passes year in and year out for not being a member of a coaster club. The choice would seem easy to me, go 30-35 times a year for free, or pay 50 bucks to get special ride times for 2 days? bring a freind day on the same weekend sounds like a nightmare. If you've ever been to a special event before, you'd understand. It's a great time. Always worth the money.

I always get the "hey, is that gone??" thought in my head at the beginning of the season, but everyone above is right -- historically the floral clock and calendar have been installed in May.
-
Just to add to what Robbie was saying -- The lights were in fact installed for Winterfest 2005. Under the Paramount regime they were used for special events such as Winterfest and Nights of Fire. Once Cedar Fair took over they were almost immediately used as a nightly spectacle.

Chicken tenders are much better than fried chicken in my book. I'm happy with the change.

Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend is fast approaching! We hope to see as many of you there during the weekend of May 9th and 10th as possible. It'll be a great opportunity to put some names to some faces and have some good 'ol fashion Kings Island fun. Please remember that you must have been a KICentral member before February 1st, 2009 in order to attender under the KICentral name. Also, KICentral members who wish to bring a guest may bring one (1) guest but they must purchase a ticket for them for $47.99, regardless of whether or not they have a season pass if they wish for their guests to participate. Please note that guest's tickets must be purchased at the time of the KICentral member's registration. Remember that ALL who wish to participate must be registered before May 6th. The park will have a list of KICentral (and other accredited groups) members that have registered. There will be no on-site registration. ALL guests must present their e-ticket at the time of registration. No exceptions. We hope to see you there! Click here to visit the official Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend site!

Well, i'm glad you can state what other people have stated. I think the line is pretty much drawn down the center with the opinions. I did not vote for my design, which means 39 people did. I really like everyones negative comments, but hey, whatever. Just keep on continuing with them. As if we haven't already heard them 15 times over. And everyone who is crying about the design, great job on waiting till after the shirt was voted for to start the b**** fest. Hell, lets have a competition where all the naysayers go ahead and try to design something, then we'll see how it works out. I do apologize for the *****ing, but some of you are just plain annoying and rude. One thing that you'll learn about this or any other forum is that you'll never ever win...

Night, hands down. It's dark back behind the Crypt and it's almost like your seat falls out from under you. Reminds me of the Voyage.

I guess you'd have to assume that Diamondback will open early on Saturday and Sunday--just like it's supposed to every Saturday and Sunday of the season. So I guess technically, if you have a Gold/Platinum Pass, you will get an ERT for Diamondback Saturday and Sunday morning whether you are a part of RWW or not. Incorrect. If you choose to participate in the morning ERTs for Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend you can NOT also do the Diamondback Gold Pass Early Access. You must choose one or the other.
-
Pleased be advised that not only must you register a guest with you when you register, but you also must purchase any necessary tickets at the time of registration.
-
Also -- for "membership number" please put your KIC username or number.

I do not have an answer to that question. I'd call the park at 1-800-288-0808 and ask them. They could give you an official answer.
-
That's a question that you may have to call the park to ask 1-800-288-0808. However they made it clear that you would NOT have time to process your pass before the 7:00am Beast ERT. If you wish to process your pass, the park is open the day before Ride Warriors Weekend on May 8th from 10:00am - 10:00pm and I believe the season pass processing will be available during its regular hours that day.
-
Amber -- the park certainly was great tonight. The lines were short but the fun was anything but short! As a side note - without any queues open, the line for Diamondback from the station all the way back to the Diamondback sign is only about 6 minutes! Glad you had a good time. Moved to Trip Reports

I'm glad you asked. If you want to bring a guest you MUST register them at the same time that you register. Also remember that this event is FREE to Kings Island Gold and Cedar Fair Platinium Pass Holders who are also members of the accredited coaster clubs. Guests must pay for a ticket to participate in Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend. Here's the breakdown: Kings Island Gold Pass/Cedar Fair Platinum Pass AND Member of a Coaster Club -- FREE Kings Island Gold Pass/Cedar Fair Platinum Pass and you are coming as a coaster club member's guest it's $47.99 for adults and $31.99 for jr/sr. NOT a Kings Island Gold Pass/Cedar Fair Platinum Pass holder, but you ARE a member of a coaster club it's $47.99 for adults and $31.99 for jr/sr.
