  1. Yes -- you should see a sign over one of the windows that will say Kings Island Central on it. Go there.
  2. I will have an answer to that, as well as many other questions very soon.
  3. Honestly, scavenger hunts turned my day at the park on events like this into... work. If there were to be a scavenger hunt this year, I would have passed on it? And do you have an approximate time on when the Gravy Buffet will be? Gravy will be served around 5:00. Actually, I think the food will be friend chicken, burgers, hot dogs, BBQ baked beans, rolls, potato salad and ice cream. Edit: Here's the WORKING agenda. This is subject to change!!! KI Central Agenda 9:00am SHARP meet at the front gate wearing lanyards. 9:20am FOF backstage tour 9:50am first ride on Firehawk 11:00am sign shop tour 12:30pm SOB tour 2:30pm--Exclusive front-row seating for the 3pm Endless Summer on Ice followed by meet and greet with Cast. 4:00pm The Beast tour meet at The Beast sign 5:15pm dinner in International Restaurant 10-10:15pm Beast ERT Remember you MUST MUST MUST have a meal ticket to receive a lanyard and participate in ANY of the events of that day!! There are still a few tickets, but they will likely sell out soon. Click here to RSVP and purchase tickets!!!
  4. Actually, I was impicturing 1,000 topics asking "When's Tomb Raider going to reopen?" "If it's just the sound, then why not just let us ride?" etc etc etc. You know, when I went to Cedar Point for the first time a few months ago, I insisted that we ride Disaster Transport as kind of a joke since I had heard how bad it was. Surprisingly enough, yeah, the themeing sucked, but I thought the ride experience was a lot of fun. Especially where it was totally dark, you never know when the thing was going to act like it was going to roll right off the side. Then again, I never rode it when it was themed. Ryan
  5. Yep -- you'll notice that if you look into the past. How come Spongebob never ran on Side B? Why wasn't there ever a 3D film on Side B? Simply put -- to do 3D films, you need two projectors (which represent the right and left eye) and only Side A is equiped for that.

  7. Ok, here's the deal.. I just found out that the event will be limited to 100 people. That doesn't leave a lot of tickets!! Almost 100 people have RSVPed, but not as many have purchased tickets. Make sure you buy them ASAP.. you don't want to be left out!!!!! Just a reminder once again, if you want to do ANY of the activities for the event, you MUST purchase a meal ticket. RSVPing will NOT get you a meal ticket, only going to the sister site and purchasing a ticket will. No exceptions!!!!
  8. Drop Zone reopened today, July 24th 2007 at 1:30pm.
  9. I just got official word from the park that Drop Zone reopened today at 1:30. Ryan
  10. Shhhhhh. Hey hey hey now... Cedar Fair will certainly own Kings Island in 08... it's a matter of who owns Cedar Fair...
  11. I don't think it was you because I would have certainly remembered that, but one of the ride ops was repeatedly apologizing to people as they left the ride. That made it all worth it.
  12. I doubt there's anything major wrong. They're probably just watching them closely. If it weren't safe, it wouldn't be open.
  13. Oh yeah -- I almost forgot about that!
  14. Side B isn't typically open. In the past, they've run secondary films, with the most recent being the return of Days of Thunder and the Lost Temple before that. For the past few years, they've run Spongebob on side A and a haunted attraction on side B during Fearfest, however nothing has been officially announced about that yet. From what I understand, they use side B for parts during the regular season and get it in working order by the time Fearfest rolls around.
  15. ^^ That mentality, Pagoda, could spell the end of KI. Where do you draw the line between what people notice and what they don't? What if they DO notice? Will people keep coming back if they think they're spending almost $50 to get into a park that doesn't even "fix" its rides. Probably not.
  16. Yeah, but a step ladder is like a folded A-frame ladder in my book. Those are perminently welded to the structures.
  17. Nope -- no Fastpass unfortunately. However, if you do a 10-5pm then lines shouldn't be much of an issue. It's Friday evening where it typically picks up for the weekend unless of course something's going on that day. Must do's: Avatar (You guys can do that together) Firehawk (that one's for you) Flight of Fear (thrill ride) Grand Carousel (even if you don't like the ride, respect its history) Wild Thornberry's River Adventure (log flume - you both should be able to do that) Beast (you) Drop Zone (should be open, but it's all you) I'd say see what catches your eye. I don't think you should have much trouble with rides if you're there for six hours. I'd try to catch a show while you're at it too.
  18. I can't find the exact phrasing of it, but I applied for a tech services job at KI a few years ago and I had to sign a paper saying that I could work on a step ladder as high as 340'. I told the interviewing lady that I'd like to see their 340' ladder, and asked why they have a ladder taller than anything in the park.
  19. The scavanger hunt was something that was had planned and I was really looking forward to writing, however it was just not to be. After looking at our action-packed agenda, KIJosh and I decided that the scavanger hunt wasn't anywhere near feasible. In fact, there's a remote chance that things may overlap eachother. Maybe next time!
  20. Just think -- you guys are getting something much better for just $16.95 at KI.
  21. I was browsing the Six Flags site and found a humorous error on their web site that I thought was worth posting. Maybe I should apply for this position. I can wrtie real good.

  23. Good stuff -- glad you had some fun!
  24. I'm not entirely certain who offers shuttle service anymore. The Kings Island Resort still does. Also, you might want to consider the Great Wolf Lodge which is in walking distance.
  25. Gabriel, Bring the chick in photo #4 to the event. Ryan
