Ok, here's the deal.. I just found out that the event will be limited to 100 people. That doesn't leave a lot of tickets!! Almost 100 people have RSVPed, but not as many have purchased tickets. Make sure you buy them ASAP.. you don't want to be left out!!!!!
Just a reminder once again, if you want to do ANY of the activities for the event, you MUST purchase a meal ticket. RSVPing will NOT get you a meal ticket, only going to the sister site and purchasing a ticket will. No exceptions!!!!
I don't think it was you because I would have certainly remembered that, but one of the ride ops was repeatedly apologizing to people as they left the ride. That made it all worth it.
Side B isn't typically open. In the past, they've run secondary films, with the most recent being the return of Days of Thunder and the Lost Temple before that. For the past few years, they've run Spongebob on side A and a haunted attraction on side B during Fearfest, however nothing has been officially announced about that yet. From what I understand, they use side B for parts during the regular season and get it in working order by the time Fearfest rolls around.
^^ That mentality, Pagoda, could spell the end of KI. Where do you draw the line between what people notice and what they don't? What if they DO notice? Will people keep coming back if they think they're spending almost $50 to get into a park that doesn't even "fix" its rides. Probably not.
Nope -- no Fastpass unfortunately.
However, if you do a 10-5pm then lines shouldn't be much of an issue. It's Friday evening where it typically picks up for the weekend unless of course something's going on that day.
Must do's:
Avatar (You guys can do that together)
Firehawk (that one's for you)
Flight of Fear (thrill ride)
Grand Carousel (even if you don't like the ride, respect its history)
Wild Thornberry's River Adventure (log flume - you both should be able to do that)
Beast (you)
Drop Zone (should be open, but it's all you)
I'd say see what catches your eye. I don't think you should have much trouble with rides if you're there for six hours. I'd try to catch a show while you're at it too.
I can't find the exact phrasing of it, but I applied for a tech services job at KI a few years ago and I had to sign a paper saying that I could work on a step ladder as high as 340'. I told the interviewing lady that I'd like to see their 340' ladder, and asked why they have a ladder taller than anything in the park.
The scavanger hunt was something that was had planned and I was really looking forward to writing, however it was just not to be. After looking at our action-packed agenda, KIJosh and I decided that the scavanger hunt wasn't anywhere near feasible. In fact, there's a remote chance that things may overlap eachother.
Maybe next time!
I was browsing the Six Flags site and found a humorous error on their web site that I thought was worth posting.
Maybe I should apply for this position. I can wrtie real good.
I'm not entirely certain who offers shuttle service anymore. The Kings Island Resort still does. Also, you might want to consider the Great Wolf Lodge which is in walking distance.
They also have an article about Face/Off's apparent extended downtime. Link
I wonder when they'll reveal who blew up the limosine and is responsible for the (apparent) death of Mr. McMahon!!!
Absolutely Reliable is a joke web site. It's 100% fictional.
Heck, Roger Machina isn't even a real person to my knowledge. The park's spokespeople are Don Helbig and Craig Ross.
