lol...wow, that's a lot of pressure! I want to gather resourses before I even think about coding. Coding shouldn't be a problem, I almost have a degree in computer science... well actually, recently I switched to engineering (To get my dream job of working for Arrow) but I know Java extremely well. Any input, submissions, ideas, or whatever would be greatly appreciated!

I may be wrong, but I think the big sign out in the parking lot has said all year "Buy a 2003 season pass and get free admission to Fear Fest" I'm pretty sure it said it even after the gold pass promotion ended. I'm sure now it says the same thing, but with the 2004 pass. Side question- Is it possible to upgrade from a regular pass to a gold pass? If so, how much does it cost? I had to rush out and get a gold pass on the last day of the promotion.

Since we all seem to have a similar interest in the park, specifically its history, I am considering starting a PKI history page. I'm not talking about a year by year list of new attractions, but actual pictures from PKI of the past. I have no intention at all of competing with this site, so there will be no forums or anything like that. Mainly, the site would consist of pictures hopefully submitted by users, and perhaps I could post some interesting stores submitted by people who were there the inaugural year. Here are some ideas that are off the top of my head for the site: -Construction photos from throughout the history of the park. -Then and now photos i.e. King Cobra becomes Delirium, The Bat becomes The Vortex and so on.... -Perhaps a Paramount Buyout: Good Thing or Bad Thing? article, as told by employees of the time. -An article on how the city of Mason was affected by the park. Now, I realize that there's a history book coming out about the park ( I TOTALLY can't wait) but I'm hoping to take a different perspective than it will. Like I said before, this is just an idea. If you think it's stupid, let me know. Any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I've never heard of anyone being hurt either, except for bloody noses and stuff like that. I'm sure the park IS concerned with people getting hurt though, that's a little thing called RESPONSIBILITY. You see, the park is responsible for the safety of the guests. Hence the fact that when people get hurt or killed they get sued like crazy. Paramount is a gold mine, not to mention Viacom. A lot of people complain about the SOB because of the turbulance. On the other hand, a lot of people love it just for that fact. It's in the eye of the beholder. I agree with you that a wooden coaster going over 70mph is going to be turbulent, and the fact that it drops you over 200ft doesn't help, but it doen't hurt to wish that the ride wasn't overly tubulant. In my opinion, it would make the ride a lot more fun.

Oh, I agree with you in the entirety. There have been many times where I have gotten off of that ride with a swore back. I wish it could be lowered to the level of turbulance of The Beast.

Yeah, they all have anti-rollback mechanisms. It makes it nearly impossible for a train to go backwards down the tow hills. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the concept is the work of John A. Miller. That's part of the reason why you hear a clinking noise while being towed up a hill.

Chef, was it you who told me that one of the reasons they took out PT was because parents were complaining about their kids getting scared in it? It makes sense. I realize that they have a ten year tradition for that building, but that may have had something to do with it. Perhaps warning signs could have been added, wouldn't hurt.

lol...I love the old guy in the tower! I had a friend come in from out of town and I took her to the park for her first time, and the first thing we did was go up in the tower. As he was telling his horrible jokes, she kept giving me these "where the hell did you take me??" looks. It was great!

I agree. Have faith in the Island for God's sake! In the past ten years, the only crappy one was 2001 and that's right after they gave us a rollercoaster which no one ever thought could exist. Bye the way, as for an additional annoucement, my money is on another Huss ride too.

^^^ Oh yeah, and the worst part of all is that he was so persistant about it. I mean, it wasn't like "Hey, you should go out with my sister" it went on and on for about 15 mins! Oh well, it was entertaining. It made the line go faster. At one point in the conversation that I had with him before he "introduced" me to his sister, I mentioned that I was a gold pass holder. So later on he was like "You need to talk to this guy! He's really nice, and he's a gold pass holder!"

I got to the park around 7:00 or so. I figured that I would get enough ride time in to be worth my drive from Northern KY. When I arrived in the park, I noticed that a good portion of the parking lot was full. I counted on that seeing as to how it was a Saturday evening. When we first entered the park, we decided to ride Adventure Express first. The reason behind that was because the sign outside listed it as being closed for the day, and it was kind of one of those "don't want it until you can't have it" situations. Of course it was opened reguardless of what the sign said. I've never known those info signs to be extremely accurate anyway. I assumed that it would be the usual walk-on. Well, in all reality, I ended up waiting for it for almost 20 mins. It doesn't sound like a lot, but in comparison to the rest of the season (excluding BAFF days) the line was extremely long. I'm sure if it wasn't for the 110% awsome crew that runs that ride, the wait would have been much longer. Anyway, after that, we headed over to Rivertown to ride The Beast. The line was also extremely long as expected, so we continued to walk through RT. We eventually just ride the train to Water Works and back. The train ride was interesting because I hadn't ridden it in five or so years and it was dark, so it was like a mini trek through the woods. After our train ride, we headed over to The Vortex. The line was about to the end of the fence--not bad at all. While in line, this drunk guy started talking to me and my brother. He first refused to believe that my brother and I are related (despite the fact that we have been mistaken for eachother several times) and then tried to hook me up with his sister. Oh yeah, I should mention that his sister was probably about 25 years older than me. After about a 20 min wait, we finally got to ride. After The Vortex, we decided that it was dark, so no matter what, it was time for The Beast. My brother and I came to find out that The Beast's line was much shorter than before. It seemed to be about a half hour wait...boy was I wrong. Every single darn queue was opened! The line went to about the drink machines, and due to the queues, was about a two hour wait! I know I'm *****ing a lot, but I guess I've been spoiled by the near walk-ons this season. Anyway, after we got off the ride, we were walking down the exit and there was a skunk under the track where the train exits the station. I just thought that was cool because I'd never seen one in the wild before. We had about 15 mins until the park closed, so we decided to try our luck on Delirium. Fortunately, only 2 queue lines were opened, so the wait wasn't more than about a half hour. Of course, the wait would have been about 10 mins had the whole speal "You will be assigned a seat number, please sit in that seat and only that seat" not been too lofy of a concept for some of the guests. I always thought that they should make you take an IQ test before entering the park. If you score below a 50, then you have to stay in Nicelodean Central. Those are the people who sit in the wrong seats on Delirium, step on the fenders on The Vortex, line jump, lose control of their basketballs, etc, etc, etc. Anyway, the fireworks went off while we were on the ride, which is always cool. I guess normally I would have been slightly disappointed with the day, but I hadn't been to the park in nearly 3 weeks. So, I heard you guys post for months now to avoid Saturdays. Well, I realize that you guys weren't kidding now. I figured the park would die down between 8 and 9 or so, but boy was I wrong.

I miss Water Works already. j/k Actually, I miss Phantom Theatre. The ride was amazing. The best part was watchig the Maestro play while waiting in the queue lines. I remember how the Maestro used to turn his head back and forth and kid of shift his body around. It actually gave the illusion that he was really playing the pipe organ. It's just a shame that they let the ride go to hell the past few years of operation. Then to add shame to all of it, they put in the Scooby ride, which in my opinion, is extremely crappy in comparison.

I miss the Flight Commander. I used to take it up really high and flip it continuosly to scare the crap out of my sister.

This is the first I've heard of this web cam. Perfect North has similar thing. I would love to see it back up. It would be awsome if it were up during the winter, so you can see the park with snow on it. I'd like to see more than the 3 or 4 pictures we got last winter.

I think they should have the option to buy waterworks only 1 day passes at a low cost, but still include it in general park admission.

I agree with most of you, Water Works won't die. They're going to retheme it and stuff. Personally, I don't know how entirely much I like the themeing. I kind of like having rides with origional names and stuff, it kind of takes me back to the classic American theme park. -Ryan

I bet if they uses them, they won't be working. They're run by a computer and it takes a lot to set them up and reprogram them. I would love to see them again though. I really doubt they'd sell them because probably there's something with them that they don't want the public to know, like how they work or whatever. I'm sure it's pretty obvious to figure it out, but I'm sure they don't want Disney buying all of them to compare designs.
