Yes The Beast was made in house by Kings Island during the 1977-1979 season. The Beast opened in 1979 but was not finished till 1980. If Kings Island took out SOB I wish they replace it with one of the old Coney Island coaster. I like to see the Shooting Star or the Wild Cat.

Kings Mill log flume is still in the park just renamed Wild Thornberry's. I do miss KCKC it was a nice ride you could just sit back and relax.

Yes Wonderland is getting a new coaster next year. I just don't see Kings Island getting another coaster this soon. If Kings Island gets anything it will be a nice flat or nothing for a change.

I would like to see a Intamin wooden coaster with some air time. It could replace SOB.

I am never going to ride in the front of Son Beast again wow did that hurt more now, I have rode in the front with the loop and it did not hurt that bad. For the person that said "SOB is too big to remove" why can't they just implode it. Sure it might cost a little but it will come down fast. Didn't they implode the coaster that used coaster trains came from?

Well seeing that Disney could no longer use the MGM name after 2008 this is not that big of a surprise. I think the reason we did not see the Pixar Studios named used that all new Pixar movies go by the name Disney-Pixar

I have given SOB another try this year and while it was a little better. The end does look it is near for this coaster. That area of the park has so many good spots for another coaster or ride. Wounder if this is the area that B&M coaster will go?

No to sure they only say four peoples names. It was odd their where other people on stage you think they say their names also.

The new logo is not that bad. I did see that Cedar Fair did change it a little last year during Fear Fest to look like Knott's Scary Farm.

Okay I see everyone saying X-Base is a good area for a ride, but if you look their is not a lot of room with coasters on both sides. Also you can see other buildings used by the park back in that area. I still Coney Mall needs a flat ride in the Fly Commander area.

Their are some lockers in Coney Mall.

If you really what to ride the Addams Family coaster goto Dollywood and ride Mystery Mine. Also its a Euro-Fighter coaster. The Dive coasters are in the Bush parks.

In the old days of Kings Island all the stores used to have a big sale at the end of the year like Cedar Fair is doing now. That why the park has room for new items for next year. If its anything like where I work the park has already order things for 2008 season.

Looking at different theme parks around the world their are some great flat rides still out. Everyone that goes to Kings Island would like something other than a roller coaster. Another dark ride would be great idea or some kinda flat ride that has not made its way to the USA.

I rode Son of Beast last week and it was very smooth with a lot of air time. Has something gone wrong or is the park just retracking some small areas for a better ride. So is Son of Beast the new Bat?

Okay I am seeing pictures saying SOB is down for repair already. So does anyone know whats going on? Glad I already got two rides in last week.

Well of all the days its my grandma's birthday so I can not come. I would have liked to meet everyone on this site and see some of the tours. Does anyone know what time the park closes on that day? If it is late I might stop by if the party is not to late.

The Magic Carpet ride looks like airplane. I think it has a Nick theme now.

So did Cedar Fair take on to much debt buying the Paramount Parks? If so do you think that any of the parks will be sold off or closed for the sale of land? Kinda had a felling this was going to happen last year. I just hope Kings Island stays open for years to come.

While I don't know what Kings Island might be getting in 2008 their is a rumor that Knott's Barry Farm will be getting another coaster next year.

It could be that Kings Island will try to open SOB first before they check out Drop Zone.

Cedar Fair has taken all the signs off Alexander the Great. It does kinda fit in with the Eiffel Tower in the background. You can see a lot of Roman statues around the real Eiffel Tower.

I was at the park today SOB was having a walk through. A lot of guys where walking the tracks looking at them after the train pasted over. Sorry I don't have any pictures of the train on the track it moved the time I got on top of the tower.

Okay I just saw a picture and heard the frist car is on the track for SOB.

With Raging Wolf Bobs derailment the other day. I do see any rush in openning SOB. Also Raging Wolf Bobs uses two Gerstlauer trains like SOB.
