Okay Carowinds has just renamed Top Gun to Flight Deck and Borg to Nighthawk. So be on the look out for Flight Deck coming to Kings Island next year.

Cedar Point was testing out their web page this morning for the all new Planet Snoopy with 7 new rides for kids. I wonder how long it will take Kings Island to change their web-page. The only thing new I think is coming is a new food area.

Yes the place I work at we get free work clothes thank to are union. Now back to Kings Island, I just think the renamed rides and a show will come next year.

Do they still make the Sydney Monorail ? I have the Walt Disney World Monorail Red train model. The only bad thing about it is runs on batteries and goes very slow. Keep up the good work on the model. I like what you have done so far.

Just look at the city of Houston they built a new football stadium next to the Astrodome and Astroworld had to close down do to poor parking.

One big problem FOF had during the open was people keep change in their pockets and if it fell out and hit the track they shut the ride down. I was so mad I waitted in line got to the UFO and it went down. Luck I did get a ride in late that night, but my head hurt so much.

Expedition Everest is not a extreme coaster, but I can see how this could have happened. Just a same its been going on alot this past year at theme parks.

I would not walk on the land of the old Ludlow Lagoon today its a toxic waste dump. It has been covered up with a lot of dirt so not much to see anymore.

I agree with you. As much as I respect TRTR, I think the ride has the most flaws out of any in the park. The theme worked for the couple years it worked but it obviously does not work anymore. I say keep it inside. The building really needs work because it really destroys the Rivertown atmosphere. thats my personal opinion. Well their are some Crypts around Kings Island. So it could fit in with Rivertown its not that far off. I know one was found around the nature center.

I rode Scooby-Doo 3 times during one day. The Scooby Doo at Carowinds is 100% better than what Kings Island got. All the effects and guns work and you get up close to the effects unlike Kings Island. Also no one was wanting to ride Top Gun in the morning so they let use ride in the front 4 times and another in the back row. The lines during the day at the park where not that bad, but when I came back to Scarowinds the lines got very long. That's okay I did all the Haunted Houses which where very nicely done. If the mods don't mind I can post some Dollywood pictures also. Me with Borg

Okay I was trying to goto Knott's Barry Farm this summer but the park closed 4 hours early. So me and my brother planned a trip to Carowinds this past fall. We have a great time got to ride the Flyers and Top Gun is my new #1 steel coaster. So here are the pictures. I post some more pictures later on.

While I was at Disneyland this summer I got two Cokes for the same price you can get one at Kings Island. The food at the other restaurants at Islands of Adventure is about the same as Kings Island.

While they are not The Bat trains they could have been model after them. Looking at rcdb.com it says that Vampire opened in 1990. A guy I went to college used to have a Bat head in a box he won from Kings Island during a employee party. It was kinda cool he had it so you could pug it in and the eyes would light up. Okay it looks like someone has found alot of old pictures of The Bat at Theme Park Review.

Did the monorail leave the park the year after Top Gun was added? Also in the history pictures are can see part of what would become the walk way to Top Gun.

While I was at the park in Oct. they said that some track work had to be done for the backwords side. Also if you look at the pictures it looks like Carowinds is doing its best to make sure they can get the coaster back in working order. Also a something I thought was odd The backwords side at Carowinds would be the forwards side at Kings Island.

Does anyone know of any new shows next year or will it be the same shows?

I know this is a matter of opinion. But, when Tomb Raider has all of its special effects going, I think it would not look out of place next to Twister or Mummy at Universal. It might not be up to the level of theming at IOA but, it would fit well at the Studios. Tomb Raider is probably the most well themed ride anywhere in the midwest. Its just a shame the theming has not been kept up. I also think Tomb Raider would fit right in Universal Studios. Its a shame more rides like Tomb Raider did not get built at Kings Island. If the park was not seasonal I could see more themed rides.

I can see Holiday World get a Reindeer theme coaster like Pony Express in the future. Also I thought at one time they also wanted a full size train around the park like Kings Island has, does anyone know more about that?

The previous operators before Paramount did the most damage to Kings Island. Just think about it more flat rides and shows left the park before Paramount came along. I have been gong to the park from 1986 to this year and have seen the park go down hill ever year. Yes Paramount Parks did put some bad rides in and take out a lot of themes around the park. I don't hate Paramount Parks just think they could have done better.

Anyone know what Wings will be renamed? Wings was a Paramount movies also, but Carowinds still had their Wings name up when I went.

Don't say that they are going to add breaks.

I like the new SOB it does not hurt my legs anymore. Also I can ride it more than one time with out pain.

Kings Island already has some of the same fireworks as Disneyland and Disney World. Kings Island is more of a testing area and a free show for the local people that come to the park. It would be nice if Kings Island could have a longer show but it sure does cost alot to do them.
