Yeah back in the old days you ran back to The Beast so you would get a fast ride.

It would not take much to get stakes on the characters. Scooby does look new, but Yogi Bear looks older. Also who are the four stars of the show?

I will be at the park on Wednesday and I will try to take some pictures to see if anything is going on with SOB. Last time I was up I did not see any trains on the track, but the track does look ready for testing.

What time did you see the lights? While the sun was still up, or when it got dark? It was 9:45 pm at night with the sun down.

I saw the lights on in the station when I was at the park on Thursday night. Could Matenice team just checking everything out to make sure it still works before they add the cars back on? Or just making sure after all this time eveything is still working the why it should?

Any word on how the new SOB trains are coming along? Wow I was at the park last night it is sure quit with out the SOB lift hill going.

At this time we have not gotten official word as to whether it will be running one or two trains. Fortunately we do know that they are both in their respective stations (at least they were Saturday). The red FareHawk train was on the transfer track Sunday. Yellow train was parked on the lift hill. If Kings Island was smart for the opening they would use both trains and stations.

Me and my brother don't really go any more unless its very hot out and what to get some nice cold air with a seat. I would not mind another ride taking Action FX Theatre spot.

Okay I just check rcdb.com and Firehawk is listed as having 3 trains. Also still no picture or word on SOB.

During Winter Fest this area was used at a Meet and Greet area. If it was a meet and great area for part of the season this could free up a stage for a show. Also it would be neet to see all of the past rides at Kings Island on those stones with the year it opened and year it closed. During Fear Fest this area could be used. Does anyone know what of old Kings Island is still around at the park? Like old ride signs, cars, props, and ect.? I know some Bat stuff is around that would be neet to see.

Well I don't think the next big coaster at Cedar Point will be made of steel. Renegade just opened with no problems. Also if Cedar Fair can fix SOB to be a good ride to replace SOB or Mean Streak with a ride like Renegade I am all for it. I was watching my old media day tape from 1992 and Top Gun was shown as a B and M. From what I heard the Arrow was already starting to be built and it was cheaper just to change that to Top Gun. Did the other B and M Top Gun end up at another Parmaount Park? When I get back from my trip out west I will be more than happy to show the video on KICentral.

It would not be that hard to make a new train to go with the other two. All of that money was for more than just the coaster.

I know the non compete clause with Cedar Point is true. Now with Cedar Fair owning the park if B&M wanted to build a coaster in Kings Island they could. I read that Bush Gardens has a non compete clause with the new floor less drop coasters. Also this was in the paper not to long ago.

Well the only two things still at Kings Island are the cars from King Cobra and Phantom Theater. The Zodiac is long gone with only pictures left. Music might be hard with copy rights. I would like to see some pictures of years gone by.

I was at the Media Day for the opening of Tomb Raider The Ride. Not a hole lot to do in the park, the bad thing on that media day the power going to Tomb Raider went out and the ride was closed the rest of the day. Also the line for Firehawk and FOF will be very long. I was one of those crazy people that wanted in line when FOF fristed opened.

The inverted ship is still in the commercial this year. A guy at work was asking where it was in the park. I know the company that makes the commercials get stock video of Cedar Fair parks and makes a commercial out of it. Sometimes you might have to use a video or two as a filler for the ad. I am sure if the commercial was made local like it used to be way back when you would only see video from Kings Island.

Question. Was that 20.8 mil from the original lawsuit a few years ago or is this something new to pay for the removal of the loop, the trains and whatever repairs were necessary? I think its from the original lawsuit from the way it was written. Thats a lot of money for this ride plus what had to be fixed in the frist place.

I also got to ride The Beast with little or no breaking. Wow it was a different coaster fast and air time. Me and my friends would go up after it rained so we get some good runs on The Beast with a 2 hour wait. Back on Subject I don't think Kings Island will see another record breaking coaster anytime soon. Kings Island is getting Firehark and a some what fixed SOB. I would like to see another wooden coaster with a lot of twist and turns.

Well I am glad to see Cedar Point taking the time to fix the coaster before letting everyone ride it. I just hope the next big coaster at the Point is made of Wood. Mean Streak just hurts no matter where you sit anymore. Well if you do goto the Point take some pictures for us that are going to that other Ohio Cedar Fair park.

The new G2 trains do look a lot like the Millennium Flyer trains. I don't think it would be to hard to add more padding on to a set of trains. I would hate to see what a lot of you would have said back in the day about The Beast with no padding. If you sat in the back you came off hurting. The only padding was found on the buzz bar.

Anyone know why the flowers are missing in the clock and date areas? Why are some coasters stacking?

Yes but just the frames, not to much to look at.

So far only the Paramount Movie names will be removed from the rides next year. Nick is going to stay to a long time so don't count on seeing The Beastie being used as a name. Me and my brother wounder what will they call Top Gun with another Flying coaster in that park now?

Sounds like Kings Island is in good hands with Cedar Fair. I can see Geauga Lake looking more like Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom with the water park and rides around it. I wonder if Geauga Lake will a get a Nick land?

I will try tomorrow to take a picture of the new map. I would scan it but Vista hates my scanner. I do think its odd that www.pki.com still has the 2006 map when all of the Cedar Fair parks have the new 2007 one. Not a hole lot has changed on the map the rides are now listed on the name with the ride and the places where you can eat are in the key area of the map.
