Thanks for the input, but it's our policy here on PKIC to leave threads open unless they are absolutely out of hand. I mean, what if someone else had something to share with us? If you want threads to be closed after 15 mins, you know where to go. Ok, sorry I didn't know about the policy. I do like it though. Keep up the good work.

I've not used the Goldpass Fastpass system yet. How early do you usually have to get to the park to get a WOW pass?

Just to let you all know I checked to see what one night with two adults would cost at the Great Bear Lodge in Sandusky. This night was from August 7th-8th (Saturday -Sunday), and the lowest price I could find was $259.00 per night. Thats' quite a chunk of change.

...but what?? Don't keep us out of the loop!!

I haven't seen anyone mention this, but it seems that Paramount Parks are no longer under the umbrella of Paramount Motion Picture Group. It seems that Viacom has transferred the theme park division to be under the umbrella of Nickelodeon. This news has been reported by IMDB.com, check out http://www.imdb.com/news/sb/2004-07-30#tv2 for more info.

Bad news, I can't go. I just found out I have a dentist appointment that morning. Oh well, I'll just read it here.
-
Well there's no reason to keep this thread open anymore.
-
I love the quote, you should use them more often.
-
Why don't you post it here for those of us who don't care to go over there?
-
OK, I want to go down, but I don't have anyone to go with. Any chance of a PKIC meet up?
-
I've never thought about doing that, but I will certainly try to in the future.

My finace and I talked about it (although she said no), but we said that if it did happen we'd have it in front of the fountains right as you enter the park. That way both the fountains and the tower would be in view in the background.

It's not that you have an opinion, that's fine. However, you phrased it in a rude and condescending manner. That is what people are upset about.

I think with FOF being over by itself that a Sci-Fi themed area is the obvious choice. Plus with the Star Trek theme being a success at Carowinds it'd be awesome to see a Star Trek coaster here too.

The year before that we all were pretty sure about a Giant Frisbee too. However, this year I don't think that a lot of us know what is coming. We've heard Adams Family, Italian Job, and the remove of the Antique Cars. There are so many rumors flying out there that it's kind of hard to wade through the BS and find out the real story.

You would be extremely surprised if only you knew how popular the campground is. So a comment like that is totally inappropriate. I agree totally here. I'm of the kind of mind that if you don't have anything constructive to say you shouldn't say anything at all. Now back on topic, I'm kind of sad to see the campgrounds go. I never actually stayed there, but I really wanted to try within the next couple years. Now with this hotel moving in, I know I'll never be able to afford a room there (at least not in the near future). However, maybe this new hotel will cause PKI to reopen Winterfest, since the hotel has the potential to draw people year round. We'll just have to wait and see.

I really like the new buttons. It adds a little flavor to the forums, and I think that they are especially appropriate because of the addition of CDBB this year.

I honestly see them using the area of by FOF before they go to the area behind TR:TR and The Beast. I also don't think that they'll remove TG in the near future. It's a nice stepping stone up to the bigger coasters and they need a ride like it if they want to stay a family park.
-
It doesn't make any business sense at all to scrap plans because information was leaked. Think about it logically, if there is a coaster coming next year, PKI would have already bought the track and cars from the manufacturer. You don't just throw that down the train because some information got leaked. Everybody knew that Disney was going to replace the Alien Encounter with a Lilo and Stitch ride before they officially announced it, but did that didn't stop them from doing it. It would make absolutely no sense at all.

This can't be right. How is it possible that 1/3 of the population of the entire US lives within 5-miles of Mason. Can someone verify that this is the exact quote and not a typo?

Welcome to the forums. I think you'll find, that since this is a PKI board you're going to get a lot of replys saying PKI is better. Personally, I've never been to PKD, so I can't give an accurate answer. Could you please explain your answer? Once again welcome to the forum, and I hope that you have a good time here.

I Have An Idea For New Areas In The Forum

Is there anyway to switch a vote? When Dane added the option about the discussion board it took my vote from "I like both ideas" to "I like it but lets keep it on the discussion board". -

Also I forgot to mention that I was thinking the Member's Forum could be made member's only in case people don't want to share with the entire internet. It's all up to you guys. If you think that the discussion forum is a good place to put all this then leave it like that. If not maybe it could be considered. -
I Have An Idea For New Areas In The Forum

No not a blog type of program. Just a different board that's designated for things that are happening in our lives, and ones that's designated for introductions. Also, even though there may be a thread in the discussion forum, it might be better if there was a board for it just to make it easier to find (you could even turn off the post count in that board if your worrying about people artificially inflating their counts). -
I haven't seen any new clearings, but I seriously doubt that anything new will be added to Action Zone next year. That area of the park is already crowded enough, and there is land elsewhere that could use some sort of attractions.
