I think that videos up to 50 MB are a problem at all. I've downloaded videos twice that size without a problem. One thing I might suggest is for large videos we could set up a bittorrent tracker, and then it might go a lot quicker.

I went this past summer and I have to say I wasn't impressed. The rides were good, but most of the ride ops were downright rude. I also didn't like the policy of not leaving anything in the ride station. I know that it's a liability, but as long as there are signs posted that the park isn't responsible for lost or stolen items I don't see a problem. Both PKI and CP let you bring things and leave them in the station. It seemed like a cheap ploy to get you to buy a locker. I think my experience would have been better with different people working there, but like I said the employees really harmed my experience.

Well that's misleading. I'll still check it out if I go to PCW though. I want to make the trip this year, but I don't know if it'll be possible.

There's is going to go into the lazy river. I wish ours did that, but I can see it being a problem getting the tubes from Taz seperate from the lazy river tubes. Also, I'd like to see how they are going to make sure the people from Baracuda Blaster don't crash into the others in the lazy river.

It looks like they are about to put Flight Commander in, I'm not sure what was there before that. I'd also say that is probably the line for The Vortex.

Sure but with smaller web-video looks bad. It’s a big problem a blur or pixels will start showing up in your video. While I was in college we ran into this problem a lot tiring to post work on the web. I would use QuickTime, MPG4, or WMV. Most of the time I used QuickTime or MPG4 hope that helps you out. Dial up is just to slow for video or what I have saw is two sets one is low for dial and the other is high-end for people with a fast line on the net. Send me a PM if you need any help. Since bandwidth doesn't seem to be a problem this seems like the best solution. Have both a low quality and a high quality stream. A downloadable file would also be nice.

Why can't you use ebay?

Personally I use Media Player Classic along with Real Alternative and Quicktime Alternative to play my movie files. I can play pretty much any file I come across with this one player. It's very convienient.

Why is streaming necessary. i know that I prefer to download videos myself. It would also seem like that would save on bandwidth because once you download it once you don't have to again, unlike with streaming video where you have to download each time. I may be wrong about the bandwidth issue. I just know that I prefer to download a video over streaming it any day of the week.

Are you serious? I'd say that maybe 1% of the people that go to PKI stay at the campground. It may be as much as 5% but I seriously doubt that.

I was very disappointed with my trip to GL this past year. It had some nice rides, but the employees were all very rude. I think that It'll be a few years before I try to make the trip there again.

The thing is PKI isn't trying to be like CP. They're trying to be more like Universal Studios or Disney World. They want to bring the magic of the movies to the midwest and that's fine with me. I know I might not be in the majority, but I prefer a havily themed no record breaking ride to a ride that may break a record or two but doesn't have any theming at all. Another thing is those huge record breaking coasters like TTD have so far turned out to be unreliable. I don't know about you but I don't want to have to worry about if my favorite ride is going to be running when i goto the park.

Well as far as I know BORG: Assimilator, the Star Trek themed ride at Carowinds, was a big hit this season. I know I absolutely loved it and it was really themed well. I hope that other Paramount Parks, especially PKI, will add similar rides.

I think Paramount is still trying to shy away from Star Trek a little. First it's not as mainstream as School of Rock. Second the latest show and movie haven't exactly been huge successes for them. Third it's expensive to do anything Star trek related with the special effects and things that are needed.

I can't believe that you'd actually say that PKI is TOO obsessed with safety. As far as I'm concerned you can never be too concerned when you are taking peoples lives in your hands.

Granted I haven't been to the forums in a while, but has the spellcheck disappeared? If so will there be one added in the future?

Wings will stay unchanged for next season, and so will WWC. The sign was taken down because the ride was shut down early. That way people would know that the ride was closed. The only food stand that won't be the same for next year is Tucker's. Will it be completely gone, or will it be rethemed, who knows? As for 2006, anything can happen then, so I wouldn't be surprised if Wings was gone too. I would think that Tucker's would just be retooled? What better than a restaraunt that's already themed to a gas station being next to a ride about cars?

I also like the number of forums.

I've said it once and I'll say it as many times as it takes to get it into the skulls of Paramount executives. Each of their parks need at least one nicely themed sit down restaurant. At least it seems like they're starting to listen.
