Well, here is an update. The date for the PKIC trip will be on October 11. Bring as many people with you as you would like. We will meet in front of the Eiffel Tower at roughly 10:00 and we will begin our trip at 10:15 am. At 3:00 pm we will eat lunch in the Festhaus and meet up with anyone who could not meet up with us at 10:00 in the mourning. The very last meeting time will be at 7:30 pm when we will go into the haunted houses because most of them open at 8:00 pm. After that you can stay as long as you want and you might even stay until closing. This should be a fun day for everyone and would be very good to meet people on the boards. You might even make a new friend! If you can make it at anytime in the day please post a reply in this thread and tell what time you will be arriving at the park. I hope to see most of you there! If you would like to buy an official PKI Central T-Shirt, you can go here: http://www.cafeshops.com/pkicentral. The shirt is only a small price of $16.99 and the proceeds will go to keeping this site alive.

We are working on spelling and grammar right now. The result of rushing to get the site up as quickly as possible was some spelling mistakes. They will all be fixed very soon. Thank you for all your input. If you like the site now, then just wait because we have a lot more to update. You'll just love everything we will be offering.

I've decided to make the Unofficial PKIC Trip date on Saturday, October 11. I decided to make it on this day because there was no day where the majority of people could make it because hardly anyone posted when they could make it. Also this is the second week of Fearfest so the crowds won't be as bad as if we went closer to Halloween. I'll have more details later on when we will meet and other things of that sort. I will also have a link to the shop where you can buy the official PKI Central t-shirt. I hope you all have a great day!

It looked like they bought ten balls for the regular distance and ten balls for the three point distance. Nick Lache bricked them all and when Jessica Simpson tried to bounce the ball she hit herself in the jaw. They can sing but they can't play basketball. :cowboy:

Well, Kings Island has done it again. On Sunday, November 2nd at 10:00 pm, those who are interested should meet at the entrance of The Beast. If you want to be safe then you can arrive a little early. Enthusiasts will be escorted up to take the final rides on Beast in 2003, once the general public has been cleared out of the station. PKI has done this in the past and is doing it again. This is something that is very generous of them and is appreciated by many. I hope to see some of you there!

Thank you Chef. I agree we should all get along and I believe we can accomplish this goal. There is no need for any kind of bashing on any site about PKI. I too, hope that we can get along in a peaceful and civilized manner.

I would have to say Tazmanian Typhoon because I loved Zinga at Holiday World and they are practically the same slides. Tazmanian Typhoon is supposed to be the longest of its kind so that might even make it better. I'm also glad that PKI isn't adding any major body slides because some of the ones they have now really hurt your back.

That is really funny PKIlvr because I was thinking just the same thing. P.S. I know who you are talking about.

Stay tuned to the opening of PKI Central for a more in depth look at Boomerang Bay including more descriptions and even an interview! Also thanks goes out to PKIlvr for bringing this information to us first.

Kings Island, Ohio - In 2004, Paramount's Kings Island will introduce the largest water park in the area, Boomerang Bay. Inspired by Australia's breathtaking Gold Coast, the new "Down-Under" resort area creates an exciting new world of exotic exploration that encompasses more than 50 water activities, including: 30 water slides; tropical lagoons; rushing rivers; surfable waves; three family activity areas and careening waterfalls, all surrounded by lush landscaping. Boomerang Bay represents another multi-million dollar investment in the park. It incorporates many of Paramount's Kings Island's current innovative water attractions along with 15 new elements including eight new slides. New signature attractions include: Jackaroo Landing -A gigantic family water fortress that incorporates a variety of whimsical water elements such as water cannons, tipping tanks and three new family slides. New Racing Challenge - A 54-foot high racing challenge with four competing slides on which guests start face-first in different directions and merge for a downhill dash to the finish line. Tasmanian Typhoon - A monstrous slide that plummets four riders in a cloverleaf-like raft almost 269-feet in complete darkness. Riders free-fall at daring speeds into a huge funnel that rockets the raft up and down careening out of control. The raft then slowly descends through the opening of the funnel, ending the white-water journey. Kookaburra Bay - Complementing the thrill and excitement of Boomerang Bay's exhilarating slides is a secluded mammoth lagoon with cascading waterfalls. Parents will be delighted to beat the summer heat while utilizing the lagoon's distinctively designed in-water lounging. Five-star Amenities in Boomerang Bay include: Lounge chair-side waiter service Lush landscaping Cabanas Full bar facilities Family changing rooms Smoke-free environment Secluded shade-covered areas Free use of inner-tubes "If you crave innovative water adventures, or if you simply prefer to relax and be pampered all day, the new Boomerang Bay has something for everyone," explained Craig M. Ross, Paramount's Kings Island's executive vice president and general manager. "We are excited to offer resort-like amenities in a new world-class environment. Boomerang Bay is destined to be one of America's most outstanding water parks. "There are more surprises in store for 2004, with additional exciting announcements to follow in the months ahead," Ross added. Admission to Boomerang Bay is free with admission to Paramount's Kings Island. Park Season Pass holders are also admitted free. Read about more information at PKI.com

I agree. I don't know what it is about Spongebob that everyone likes. I think the cartoon is just annoying.
-
I think you are getting The Beach and Surf Cincinnati mixed up. The Beach hasn't auctioned any of their slides and isn't closing. However, Surf Cincinnati has closed and has auctioned off their land.

By request of some members on this site, I have set up an unofficial PKI park trip together. This will be a small trip because, currently, we only have 25 members on the site. I think that this could be a very fun and exciting day for all of us to have at the park. Feel free to post what day and time would be best for you to meet at the park. You can also ask any questions or give suggestions that you may have.

I'm not into cartoons much, but I prefer Hanna-Barbera over Nick anytime. I think that HB can appeal to some adults along with kids, but Nick only appeals to kids. Personally, I think it is a shame that PKI only has Scooby walking around the park. If it was my choice, I would bring back the Hanna-Barbera characters, but it seems unlikely that PKI will ever bring back the HB characters. I think that soon, PKI and the other Paramount Parks will shun out the Hanna-Barbera characters until they are completely gone. I think that Scooby will be the only HB character left until the interest in him is finally gone with kids.

It turns out that the Robocoaster was only temporary for this weekend only. When I was at the park today, I got a chance to ride this masterpiece. There is one word to describe it: "Awesome". This ride is like no other and is truly a great experience. While I was waiting to get on the ride I was talking to a person who worked for the ride manufacturer. He said that they were showcasing the ride to Paramount on these two days. By the looks of it, it seems like there is a very good chance that PKI will add a Robocoaster for next year. If you haven't yet gone to the official Robocoaster site, then get on over ther because this is a remarkable ride. Robocoaster

Yes, the Robocoaster is only temporary. It will be taken out after the park closes on Sunday. The ride was installed because of Toyota being in the park. To ride, you had to make a reservation and they ran out before the park closed, so many people were turned down. That might give PKI a little hint on what to install for 04'.

We have been working on the site before PKIU had problems. The forums have been up since August 20th.

I've already posted about this before. http://www.pki-central.com/forums/index.ph...hp?showtopic=31

To some this may be good news, to others it may not. Like it or not, PKI is adding a Robocoaster to their up-charge attraction lineup. PKI is also breaking the record (currently held by the park) for most up-charge attractions in one park. For more information on this simulated coaster experience click on the link below. Robocoaster

If you have any suggestions that would help out PKIC then post them in here.
