The forums upgrade comes as an extrodinary effort from Dane to make PKI-Central.com more user-friendly. At PKIC, we want to become the best PKI fan site on the net and it takes YOU to do that. This update is just a little thank you to the members for being so great!

This rumor comes up every year, and every year it is not true. The reason why the park will still let guests snap the flyers is because they were designed that way. No damage is done when a guest snaps one of the flyers. The rule that does not allow guests to snap flyers goes on in other parks because they have flyers that are not designed to have the cables snap like PKI's. Of coarse, the park could implement a ban on snapping flyers and be pricks, but they are not like that. So ultimately, this rumor has no truth to it.

Sorry that I didn't say this before, but we already threw out the idea of an ad-free site. Remember we are still working on this and anything can change. This is why we want your opinions. If you think you have a good idea or think you can help us out please tell us. Thanks for everyone who voiced their opinion already.

At PKIC, we are always try to give you the best in everything. With that in mind, we have been thinking of some new ideas. One of them is a new group where members would get special benefits including: Special features of the site, discounts, and a personalized signed copy of "The Unnofficial Guidebook To Paramount's Kings Island". Membership would cost money though, but would be a minimal amount. So my question is, What do you guys think? Are you interested in this or do you think this is the dumbest idea in the world? Tell of what you think and maybe give us some suggestions, because remember, this is YOUR site! :cowboy:

PKI bought SOB at a cost of $15 Million. After the first year though, they had put $25 Million in the ride. The park is even putting in more money with the retracking they are doing right now. When a park spends this much money to fix something, you know it's important to them. With everything they do though, it seems they cannot fix the problem.

PKI Marketing Director Jeffrey Siebert has graciously sent PKI-Central.com some photos of construction on Boomerang Bay, the park's new waterpark resort. Alright, enough with the CP vs. PKI war. Both are great parks and both deliver in different ways. People have different opinions and that's alright. Now, let's get back on subject. If you want to talk about PKI vs. CP then go right ahead, but please post it in the correct topic to do so or make a new one.

Jeff has been saying next year the park will be concentrating on theming. It's pretty much safe to say now that PKI will add a coaster for either the '05 or '06 season. I also think that this coaster won't be themed. This is because it is very hard to theme a coaster and it cost extra bucks.

I think what we will see in BB will be Auzzie names for American food. I just think that PKI serving authentic Austrailan food is a move too risky for them. They've tried serving German food in Octeoberfest and it hasn't worked out so I don't think they'll do it with BB. Now Austrailan beer is very possible, but I think PKI might already have a deal with Budweiser. That's not to say that they can't sell other beer though.

I very much agree with Italian Chef, but I still love TR:TR! I think what PKI has done wrong with some of their rides was over hype them. It happened with SOB and TR:TR. You have to make sure you put in a great ride when you hype it as an adventure of a lifetime. PKI did this with TR:TR but I don't think people thought it was the ride of a lifetime. Hopefully next year PKI will turn TR:TR into an adventure of a lifetime and our hopes and dreams will be fulfilled.

My favorite ride is the flyers. Why you might ask? It's because of the snappage (coined by Dane). You can control every single ride and get all the snaps you can possibly get. Nothing can compare to the feeling you get when you get a good, hard snap or even a couple. And when you are totally killing them, you can have so much fun. If you haven't already experienced a snap on the flyers, you truly need to! :cowboy:

I would consider it a renovation. They only added a ride. a renoation would be like re paving footpaths paiting buildings planting more plants ect ect. Actually that's exactly what they did in Rivertown when they added TR:TR.

In the coming months PKI-Central.com will be changing for the better as we gradually move from PKIC V.1 to PKIC V.2. This update is version 1.1 and will lead up to the other updates until all of the site is changed into version 2. We hope you like it! You never can completely know what all is coming in the next year. In 2004, PKI will give all of their attention to Boomerang Bay. Now what is in store for 2005 is a whole new story. That is the thing to speculate apon.
