  1. Two spelling mistakes in that image, plus the awkward phrasing "World's First Launched Wooden Roller Coaster"... Fake.
  2. The restraints remind me a lot of B&M's. Source
  3. When did you try to order yours? I didn't even order mine until the day the final section of the lift hill was torn down and got through on the first try. o_o Up until then I actually had no intention of getting one. I hated riding it but I think watching the video of it coming down actually saddened me slightly knowing that was the end and it will never come back so I buckled and got it. We also got a couple bolts.Wow...$200..my track didn't even cost that much straight from the park. I think they were being sold for close to a 100 even? The first day that they started taking orders. If I remember right, the phone line opened at 9am, and my first class ended at 9:18am.
  4. I assume this. I still remember trying to get through and order mine. Back then OSU had 12 minutes between classes. I don't know how many times I called in that 12 minutes, but the line was busy. My professor was just about to start class, and of course my last attempt was when I finally got through.
  5. Slightly unrelated, but I snapped my first set of Larson Flyers this weekend at the Columbus Zoo.
  6. Did Six Flags take T2's train, or was it simply in an unusable state after the years of sitting in the elements?
  7. Seeing as how this park has been run so far, nothing would surprise me. I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes, but as far as I know, RMC has never worked on a steel frame coaster before.
  8. Probably not even Ed Hart. Even if the parks future wasn't in jeopardy, I'd be shocked to see this coaster operate next year.
  9. I had considered going as part of Great Ohio's Spring Fling. Any word on what happened with that event once the park closed early?
  10. I believe those are the 4 rides that were not paid for.
  11. According to an article, it was, as well as three other rides, listed for sale to help cover the cost of the rides that Conneaut had yet to pay in full. I guess repossessed is the right word.
  12. I wish you had cash on you, I would love to hear their excuse.
  13. I've been wondering how Holiday World was able to afford such a major investment as Thunderbird, let alone have the money to buy Dan's 40% share in the park in addition to the coaster..
  14. All this talk of the lines at food service locations has given me a new idea. New for 2015: Fast Lane++! Now skip the lines at food service locations*! (At participating locations.)
  15. In addition to snapping, is it like CP's with the incredibly slow stopping, and the requirement of the ride op to unlock your seatbelt?
  16. My guess would either be Vortex or Bat. I think back to Busch Garden's reasons for removing Big Bad Wolf. And I know it was Six Flags, but Great American Scream Machine was about the same age as Vortex today.
  17. Conneaut Lake Park trustees terminate Hotel Conneaut lease
  18. I know you've had bad experiences at the hotel (an understatement?)... but how does this move come off to you? Desperate?
  19. Certainly wouldn't be the first time though. Carowinds was a victim a few years back when Intimidator was built.
  20. But their Blue Moon is blue raspberry. I'm glad I'm not the only one here who has had Handel's!
  21. I haven't seen this posted anywhere else, but it looks like the cars have been added to KI's scooters! Captured from Kings Island Webcam.
  22. I'm glad they're not. It's a low capacity ride, it could make the regular line really long.
  23. Yeah, I remember reading that here a few months ago. Here's to hoping more then three bumper cars will run this year (well, I guess I'll take the current three if that means that the park is open this year.)
