Ya, with the break on The Beast. The metal break at the end of the covered area. It kills the ride. It makes it un natural. You slow down, then you speed right back up...
-
Ya, that would be cool theming it with FoF. You will have space, and flying next to eachother. It could be a cool idea.
-
True. But in some cases, they do keep the name, that way they can keep the logo it has. http://p2.rcdb.com/picmax/six-flags-ohio/x-flight14.jpg

That was great... I love it. PKIfan73, from what I remember, most rides keep their name, but a new paint scheme. And mutedarkness, in that press release, it said nothing that Geauga lake was getting any money. Sorry.

For the first five years, expect long lines. It's like that with every coaster. I don't care if it opens in 2007, the lines will be so long, that I'm probably gonna wait till 2008 to ride it. I did that with ISJT. I went in June in 2005, and at 10, the tickets were are 9 o'clock to ride it. Sadly, X-Flight has a low riders her hour, but it will, "hopefully" even out.

You cannot blame the SoB on CF. It happened two weeks after they bought the park. The State told them that the ride was safe to run, and they did just that. You can't send people to inspect all the rides within the two weeks you bought the park. Raging Wolf Bobs, what happened with that? Never heard anything about it. It wasn't the smoothest ride when I went on it, but at that time, Six Flags owned Geauga lake. Wow... In the minute it took me to type this, three other people have replied... And this: And to sum it up getting 10 million dollars dosnt make it a "great" year What he ment was that KI was going to do something with the money, to make this a great year. That can only mean another ride... Or a loop on The Beast, whatever is easier... (Jokes jokes.... but wouldn't that be something?)
-
No no no. I was just saying that getting 10 million is a lot more than mutedarkness thinks. I was surprised to hear how much KI was getting though. With all of Cedar Fair parks, for us to get that much just shocked me.
-
Your gonna kill me until this is release. Mind sharing a bit? And the above post. 40 million equals 4 new coasters. so, 40 mill / 4 coasters = 10 mil a coaster. Huh.. Thats what KI got. Not bad for being given just under an 1/8th of the total budget thats ment for 10+ parks. (2/11ths if you take out CP and their 25 mil in that budget.)
-
Kings Island has the records for most of the wood, thus meaning their big. CP really doesn't have any wooden that hold records. When they first come in, they might just bump it up a bit, speaking that they have never been with two record wooden coasters.
-
I doubt they will raise them. The ride heights haven't changed in a while, and there has never been an issue. Maybe on wooden coasters they will go up, I was able to ride The Beast at 7, and I could have probably made it when I was 6. If there isn't an issue yet, don't touch them.
-
I gotta agree. When I went this summer, I was able to ride The Beast 11 time. I eventually got a headack, and we left just after 5. X-Flight will be a great addition, and it will kill a little bit of the lines on the other rides.
-
Well, all you really have to do is start the tunnel halfway down the slop that used to lead to the loop, and end it where the track starts to go uphill. It will give the appearance to the rider that you go underground. But, as The Interpreter said, just be happy with it opening. As much as a tunnel would be nice, I'd gladly trade it for the SOB to even be reopened.
-
So wait. What are they doing to the Villian, readding the wood part? I rode it about 4 years ago, and it was fun.

When I rode X-Flight, I hated it. But I was just at that age where I hate every Coaster. I've been wanting to go back to Geauga Lake, but they only have a few coasters. And with Kings Island be closer, and having The Beast, Son of Beast, and FoF, my three top favorites, I'd choose KI.
-
Their clearing out that area for soemthing. It's a pretty good size, big enough for X-Flight. Something has to go there, but if it doesn't come to Kings Island, something has to go there.

More X Flight Dismantling
Hendrick replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It will be a new paint scheme. I do like the Green and Black, but Black and Blue, or Silver and Blue, or Silver and Blank. Just what I like. -
I uploaded three of them. I will upload the rest later, I ran out of time. Two of them are from their website, the other one is off of another. White Water Flight of Fear King Cobra
-
I don't believe he was talking about that. Look just to the left of where the old loop used to be.
-
I have to go King Cobra. I've never ridden it, but now, when I like coasters, it appears I would have loved it.

Back on the old Kings Island website, they used to have videos of all of the rides. I have been able to recover all except Adventure Express and The Beastie one. I don't remember there being one for Runaway Reptar. So, my question is if anyone have those two, maybe three videos? If anyone wants the others, I will host them. Just let me know which one(s).
