  1. Here's what I imagined when thinking of building my own backyward rollercoaster. Here's a design of a track and support segment as far as the car I'd attach a harness (like found on skycoaster) to a wheel chassis.
  2. ^ That has got to be one of the best ones yet Terpy!
  3. ^ Indeed I'm aware of the famous Phoenix at Knoebel's but adding the word Blue in front of Phoenix would alleviate some of the copyright concerns I'd imagine.
  4. So I found this which reminds me of the blue winged hedgehog thing. Blue Phoenix perhaps?
  5. So in my attempt to find the pictures of the quad aqua loops which I think would be far more exciting than a water-coaster. That is unless they develop a tantrum style water-coaster. I found what seems to be the most amazing waterslide I think I have ever seen. A double loop aqua loop at a waterpark named Wave in Austria. Here's a pic... http://www.woerglerwasserwelt.at
  6. I imagine that more and more waterslides will be built like Wildebeest, Mammoth, or into hill sides reducing or eliminating the amount of climbing would be needed. There's also this concept... Their website is definitely worth checking out also.. http://www.splashtacular.com/index.php
  7. Watching out for false clues and inversions.... 0 7 91 97 21 2 0- could mean zero g roll 7- for number of inversions 91- this number while watching out for inversions could be 19 as in 19stories tall 97- this number could also be inverted as in 79mph 21- inverted could be 12 passengers per side 2- number of sides (2 sides on a wingcoaster of course)
  8. For the record I haven't learned photoshop yet (or GIMP in my case) so this is the best I can do for now.
  9. If they were to get a ferris wheel let it be an eccentric one like the legendary... Image thanks to wikipedia
  10. Your right, it isn't actually goth I actually don't know what to call it I added that too. Regardless she wasn't portraying the same wholesome image that Disney has their employees portray. Even if she was neither one of them should've been allowed into any of the Disney parks dressed like that. While I truly believe they likely didn't have any cruel intentions, what would stop someone that did. I mean what if Sandusky had went to Disney World dressed as a character and taken advantage of such a position? It would not only be Sandusky in trouble then but also Disney for allowing someone dressed as one of their characters.
  11. So if I go down there dressed as a character I'll get free clothes and FreePass tickets? Sounds like a good deal. She should of gotten nothing it's obvious why the park wouldn't want visitors dressed like their own. I used to have a shirt that had the word SECURITY on the front I had to turn that inside out more than one place I wore it and I understood and would no longer think to wear it outside of home. Maybe if she didn't get rewarded for stupidity she'd learn that you can't go dressed as a goth(emo I don't even know) tinkerbell to Disney World.
  12. I know as most rides are currently designed is likely unsafe for certain disabilities to ride especially in e-stop scenarios. Though it would take a lot upfront for parks to implement I do think at least in future designs many rides could be made more accessible to those with disabilities. What I imagine would be select seats with mechanisms similar to child seat restraints that are put into many vehicles now. Then when say an amputee that wouldn't normally be able to ride desired to do so they could put on a harness that would attach to one of the mechanisms on the select seats. As for e-stop scenarios like when Diamondback stops at the MCBR have a lowering device that could be attached to the harness to safely lower the guest. This would allow for the disabled to ride safely while not interrupting normal operations other than a little extra time given to secure the disabled. As the rides are now I side with the parks who do not permit those individuals to ride but there can be more done in the future to increase the experience of all guests.
  13. Just wondering the current Rattler drops 55' less than it's height. Wild Eagle drops 60' ft less than it's height (more if you count down to the sidewalk and not the lift). Are there many other coasters in which their drops are over 50' less than their heights? Such wasted potential energy, at least Rattler opened with a better ratio, of course I'm still saddened WE didn't make a dive off the side.
  14. Let me first say that I did not create the bones of the following recreation I have to give Spez credit from NoLimitsExchange. What I did do was added a little air-time from the station to the lift. Steepened the drop and added a floater hill between the drop and the following hill. Removed the rose bowl added a camel back followed by a hammerhead like turnaround another camel back, a tunnel on the second helix and some various reprofiling here and there to add a bit more airtime. That said I miss SOB but I'm not sure anymore that even drastic changes would make the ride great. No doubt it could be good but great is what's needed for that kind of investment and I've been one of the biggest supporters of SOB. I should also note that Spez from NLE had a much better support structure and various other 3ds that I unfortunately butchered or removed.
  15. ^^^ The second SFOG entrance was basically where the go-carts are now. It was the only one I used before it left.
  16. Is the after party still at Kings Island Resort Inn or has that moved to GWL?
  17. I don't like the idea of a standup woody however, a four across sit down train seems much more feasible.
  18. Perhaps some should only ride stand up coasters in cooler weather.
  19. Alright well I was holding onto this idea on the chance I'd be a millionaire one day but that seems to not be happening anytime soon. So what I would love to see happen with the Crypt building since it seems they definitely want to use it for Halloween. I would love to see a Haunted House/Ropes Course. Imagine putting on your lead and harness at the cave entry and working your way around the crypt through many series of obstacles. Add to the obstacles scare actors and you could achieve some great frights. This could be toned down during the regular season and dare I say could make a great upcharge.
  20. Here's a far fetched idea. If we must remove SOB but could leave portions of it partially destroyed the area could be a Disaster Zone. Move Delirium to where it appears to have busted into a portion of the ride. Add a Skyrush like coaster weaving in and out of the debris. Add a woody that would run along parts of SOB to where it appeared that you were about to go on some of the broken parts of SOB. A few flats should be added as well but not sure as to what those should be in current thought. Have this new area tie into X-Base, the theme could be a tie into it and Dinosaurs Alive. The military base is trying to rescue those from the Disaster Zone while keeping out the Dino's (thinking Terra-Nova here). In the added Action Zone area add a Luminosity-ish show.
  21. For me it's a tie on amusement/theme parks as Cedar Point is great for its thrills and surroundings but Holiday World just has that something special. Waterparks I'd have to go with Splashin Safari but when River Rush opens they'll be in a tie with Splash Country.
  22. ^^He could just go up there with some red paint and paint some of the track. If it was done on a barely visible piece I imagine half the people here would automatically assume it was Iron Horse track.
  23. Too bad only one of you is SBNO. Really? Isn't this more than a little harsh and at least borderline cyber-bullying? I'm not saying that what Mccarthy said is true or not true but there's no need to attack in such a manner. Yes, really. If someone is willing to make outragous claims, back it up, or be prepared for criticism. If criticism is now considered "cyber bullying" I am most certainly gulity. If you consider using a enthuiast term, on an enthusiast site, "cyber bullying" I am also guilty. And finally, if you consider that to be bullying, life in the real World will certainly come as quite a shock to you. -Brown whose community status update on KIC profile page has been SBNO since March 19, 2010. Perhaps you didn't intend the message to come across as the way I took it. To me when you said it's too bad only one of you is SBNO to me that implies that too bad only one of you is in a vegetative state. There's criticism like how KIfan1980 addressed it and there's what you said which at least seemed as a much deeper insult. Criticism should be constructive and not humor at another's expense that's one of the foundations of bullying. BTW I'm 32yo and far from a spring chicken or even a summer one. I've simply seen the aftermath of when people get attacked with and without warrant, it's the same reason I stay far away from (T)oilet (P)aper ®esidue. I have no intention to keep this line of discussion ongoing as it has nothing to do with the topic in which you have clearly stated your feelings about page after page for years now. If you would like to continue this conversation please feel free to message me I'll be happy to respond. In regards to the topic I do hope that Mccarthy was right in that there will be a decision made before the 2013 season starts. At least let their be some boards removed or added so we could have something a bit more solid to speculate upon.

  25. Am I the only here that thinks Voyage is the 3rd best coaster at Holiday World? Out of those I have ridden my top ten are. 1. Legend (airtime, crazy unpainful laterals, ride interaction, tunnels!) 2. Thunderhead at night 3. Beast (only at night) 4. Raven 5. Voyage 6. Grizzly (KD) at night 7. Rampage 8. Swamp Fox 9. GA Cyclone 10. GASM (SFOG) Granted if I ever get a chance to ride El Toro, Boulder Dash, Cornball, Prowler, etc my list will likely alter.
