If this does end up being a giga (which I doubt I still say invert) I think they could reuse the Intimidator name. Granted the Intamin version of that name is much more fitting.

^ Was it Lori or Dan behind the push for Bluegrass Boardwalk? If Dan I'd say his intentions were in the right place, if Lori well I have nothing nice to say. -

^Flaming Moes would be pretty cool, I doubt they would though for liability and possibly liquor laws. I know I'm not allowed to sell any flaming drinks in Knoxville, TN but we have some of the strictest liquor laws in the country. That said this area is far more interesting to me then WWOHP now they just need to add Evergreen Terrace Resort and a Nuclear Power Plant dark ride. -
So by the standards of this lawsuit if I'm at a hotel and I go out on the balcony. I then decide I could get a better view by standing atop the railing. I then fall and break my leg. It's the hotels fault for not putting a sign up saying that action would be dangerous? Is it also the fault of the city if I jump in front of oncoming traffic if there isn't a sign saying I shouldn't do that? If the mother truly believes the basis of the lawsuit then I'm afraid she wasn't ready to raise a child. Then if she wasn't ready for such I truly hope that this wasn't a "way out" for her.

So after looking at rcdb.com for the last little bit, I have to say the construction so far looks a lot more like Patriot than Leviathan. As close as the footings are it sure seems more likely there would be supports on both sides of the track like an inverted (in the station/brake run areas). I still refuse to rule out anything but a B&M Invert is still my guess. I'd post comparing pictures but I'm on my phone but heres a link of Patriot during construction. http://rcdb.com/3244.htm?p=14007

What am I missing here? Other than a random tweet with the number 308, and the fact Canada's Wonderland added Leviathan. What suggests so strongly to it being a B&M Giga? Sure it's a possibilty but I've seen nothing to prove it couldn't be almost any other coaster. Its also a big possibilty this development takes up a fraction of the cleared land from SOB.

I wonder if everyone attending HoliWood Nights were to wear a T-Shirt that said Dan's The Man would Lori deny entry or make them change? That or just not going would be a way to show support for keeping family in Holiday World. There's plenty of "We Back Pat" shirts down here in Knoxville different lady though but definitely as good of a woman.

A Taste of What's To Come

^Yeah I realized that shortly after posting, hence the edit. Working in the food industry myself I have heard the complaint of both things though, and the far too often request for a steak extra well done but not burnt. Clearly this wasn't the situation though and I apologize for responding out of context. -

^Curious question, how was the burger both overcooked and very rare? Edit: I misread carry on -
There's always so many experts here as soon as there's ground broken. Truth is none of us know (at least those talking) what is being built whether it be wood, steel, or plastic at this point. I've said more than once I feel it'll be a B&M invert but that's just a feeling. I also posted a link on the last page showing the footing work for Outlaw Run circa March 2012. I posted that mostly to douse a little fuel on the for since the timing is similar and some of the footings are similar. I wish it would be a RMC but I do doubt it happening. Yes a small fragment of the general population might confuse a new wooden coaster in a similar spot with SOB but given that coaster hadn't been in operation since 2009 and completely missing all of 2013 that number is small. If SOB was running at the end of 2012 and a new wooden opened there in 2013 or 2014 I don't doubt there would be a lot of confusion but that simply isn't the case. I'll reserve further comment on this matter til there's at least a few more pics from the coming weekend. Oh the joys of enthusiast speculation, have fun you all I'll be back to this topic soon enough.

No way on God's green earth they will build a wooden coaster on that particular plot of land. They're trying to make us forget Son of Beast, and if they built a woodie there, the GP would confuse it for Son of Beast, declare that it killed people, got stuck in the loop and is sinking, and therefore refuse to ride it. Yet Six Flags Magic Mountain put Apocalypse on Psyclone's spot just as one example.
-
Let me say first that I highly doubt it would be a RMC coaster but look through the early footing work of Outlaw Run which began construction in a similar time frame. http://midwestinfoguide.com/silver/project2013/03.17.12/

How did I forget the name Mindbender still my favorite at SFOG. Now for Kings Island 2014 I would like for some connection to The Beast. If Sega has no issue perhaps Altered Beast this time don't forget about the tunnels and terrain.

^ Cedar Fair has had time to see how Raptor, Swarm, Wild Eagle, X-Flight work. Granted it'd be nice to take the time to see how they are in a few more years but the time from conception to opening a major custom coaster takes years. So unfortunately parks have to make gambles or they'll be considered stagnant to many. As for WindSeekers I think that was a way for Cedar Fair to unify the parks it was a gamble and they may not continue placing that bet but I don't think they are a loss either. Now as far as 2014 is there any pictures yet showing the construction stakes with writing on them? Those can be good clues or diversions like the Huss GF from Carowinds before announcing WindSeeker.

Thunderhead of course is one of the greatest names ever for one of the greatest coasters ever. I'll agree with most it would seem that Flight Deck is a bleh name even Carowinds done slightly better with changing Top Gun to Afterburn (though it seems I recall they did use the name Flight Deck shortly). Granted Afterburn seems like it could be sponsored fittingly by Rolaids. That would spell relief.

I wished I lived close enough to make a trip out to Batavia to see if there's anything of particular interest. As much as I'd prefer this to be a different manufacturer just a hunch I'm betting this will be B&M. However another hunch is that this will be a B&M launch. Err ok that is still unlikely so my best guess at this point is a B&M invert which would put all the Inverts/Suspended in that one area of the park, which would be a bit odd to me but sadly doesn't make it seem less likely. In my dreamworld however they would've bought Eagles Fortress and added it onto Flight Deck having it be the first part and bringing the station out closer to the rest of the park.

Is Hart and company currently paying on a lease? If so extending the walkout period is a no brainer, might as well bring in some money. Not like there's another party ready to jump in. -
^I sorta do, for me a lot of parks are a once a season type thing for me including Kings Island. Well I do tend to end up at Kings Island twice a year once in the Summertime and once in the Fall but I digress. I admit it's a bit unfair to avoid Holiday World because of the lack of Timberliners but that is what would've sparked my interest enough to squeeze the park in this year. While I'd rather Kentucky Kingdom be primarily a dry park if I get a chance to see it open I've never been there or to Indiana Beach so I'd like to make a nice little loop of parks that I can't do this year. If it weren't for limited time and budget I'd be at Holiday World regardless, but I work too much to stay this poor so I'll priortize my trips this year. SFOG, BGW, KD, CP, DW, IOA are already on the list for this year and I may have to cut one of those already. That said I do still love the park.
-
Voyage is far from the only reason I'd want to visit what is one of my favorite parks. However, being 6 hours away without the Timberliners and without much going on in the dry side since my past visit I will be delaying my visit to Holiday World for this year maybe for Halloween but so many other parks spark my interest there. I'm going to unsafely assume that "something" came up during their testing this time as if testing had gone well there should have been time plus the remaining time for the Timberliners to be fully tested. Oh well maybe next year I can add Kentucky Kingdom to the trip and hopefully Indiana Beach will be in a better shape to add to it as well.

As a park, no. As a dry ride donor, no. As a water park donor, absolutely. I'd still like to see the park open though. -

Just to be fair Shaggy, you can take nearly any park name and google it with rape, molestation, fights, and such and get results even our beloved Kings Island. That said I also wish this had been more of a relocation project instead, however I wish the park the best of luck and will gladly patronize the park if/when it reopens. -
The same chances of that we may know how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop. The world may never know 986, That is the number of licks I sometimes had too much time as a child but I was determined to know that answer.

I guess the evac thing is better than nothing but it does seem it would take a long time to evac a full ride. So much time that the previous method could be of comparable timing. On a windy day it seems they would have to catch the seats in order to get them inside the cage I imagine they wouldn't use this method in windy conditions though.

Renovating a building to use for the new show "I Saw Red" a tribute to Sublime. Nah not really my guess is that it will have something to do with live entertainment though.

Just in the manner that many subdivisions have rules about what you can build. How tall you can build, how many square feet, type of construction, what exterior treatments you can use, etc. For all I know some of these conditions may exist in the sale or are already faced by strict zoning requirements. I unfortunately know very little about the area up there and haven't seen how they've laid out the plots. I guess there just isn't a buyer for the place as a whole and looking at the filing I guess it's more about cutting losses so I'll digress. On the other hand Cedar Fair is in the business of creating spending through entertainment, could that not be a good fit for mixed use retail developments? Especially with Matt at the helm I think they could do some great things just not in the business of such.
