I think so, too! I'm hoping to talk to KI soon about my pics...
-
Cafepress is just the image you want, ironed on....right? That's what happened with my LSHOF shirt. Maybe I'm thinking of a different site..I don't think so though.
-
Hahaha, all great reasons, Terp! Especially the third, so true! Though I really doubt people are confused by DB's boarding process. It's set up the same way as any other coaster...gate opens and you walk to your own seat! I haven't seen anyone who's looked confused or wondering which seat to go to..
-
But not every train is full. The single rider line helps ensure that every train is full. Sure, there will be open seats from time to time....but the single rider line is a HUGE advantage when it comes to capacity. And I was comparing to Goliath...yet to be on Nitro.
-
Yeah, but then again the capacity is better on Diamondback... ...and the ops are, too
-
DB will still want a single rider line to fill all trains to full capacity.
-
Great to hear from you Gary! Haha yeah...I just thought it was the usual tossed cigarette...but then I saw the smoke, dropped the mic, bear hugged the cooler and ran to put out the fire, haha! I'll have to catch a few more rides on DB with ya. -Zach

Night. On a hot summer day. That way it's a cool ride at night, it's all warmed up, and it's night time. Perfect.
-
Dynamite could have worked as a cool name, too now that I think about it. You board a train of dynamite, the last train to go out and clear a path in the woods for...well, that's about all I got right now. But there'd be fire, and tunnels, and ...yeah. That'd be cool.
-
Someone pointed to Diamondback and asked me what that was. Someone tried to argue with me at Diamondback was "Dynamite" while we were in line for it. DyynnoooMITE!!!
-
Well, the SRL is used to fill in the empty seats to maximize capacity and send out full trains. I'd say it's doing a fantastic job!

I've got a Nikon D40 with an 18mm-55mm lense, and a 55mm-200mm lense. <3 I think having DB as a baseline coaster makes some features of other rides seemer different or dull. Like Vortex's first drop. Now it seems shorter to me.

Last night was awesome. I met up with Joe (ginzo) and his lazy Liz; and unexpectidly met up with my Haunt buddy Brad! And two of his friends were picked up later in the park. It was open from 5-10. Dead. Rides: Diamondback - 9 Beast - 1 FoF - 1 Racer - 1 Drop Zone - 1 Delirium - 1 After last night...I claim Diamondback as my number one. Diamondback gives floater air, forceful floater, and pretty much awesome airtime..the front, middle, and back all give differet rides, and each of them are incredible. I think I've been in every row now...and every seat is fantastic. Front - Beautiful views, insane airtime over every hill. -First drop kind of lets you fall against the restraint, then gives you airtime. -Second hill just throws you out of your seat. Ejector. -Third hill does the same, just not quite as good. -Hammerhead spins you around -Fourth hill gives ejector. -Pop into MCBR. -Fifth gives Little floater down into the ravine from the MCBR -Sixth is a nice camelback, airtime. -Seventh is a repeat. -Pop airtime down into watersplash -Airtime into breakrun. Middle, row 8. It's right in the middle...constant floater air...it's like your typical B&M hyper with a tase of the front and back. -First drop gives great airtime all the way down. -Second hill lets you float forever. -Third hill does the same, just as good. -Hammerhead spins you around..kind forceful. -Fourth hill gives ejector/forceful airtime. -MCBR. -Fifth gives floater down into the ravine from the MCBR -Sixth is a nice camelback, floater airtime. -Seventh is a repeat. -Pop airtime down into watersplash -Airtime into breakrun. Row 16, as farrrr back as you can go is my favorite. Read below. -First drop is kind of like Millennium Force and a B&M hyper hill. You get ejected. -Second hill just floats you around, and throws you out of your seat. -Third hill does the same, just as good. -Hammerhead spins you around, very good sense of speed and force. -Fourth hill gives ejector. -MCBR. -Fifth gives nice airtime down into the ravine from the MCBR -Sixth is a nice camelback, airtime. -Seventh is a repeat. -Awesme pop airtime down into watersplash -Breakrun. Riding at night is a MUST!!!! I swear it gets better and better every time I ride it...holy crap, I love this ride. A right step for the auto industry! Gold passers get extra ride time! Mm....mist. Heading up the lift hill. Hehe...rest of the ride's all the way back in the woods. Details! Into the watersplash....... Nothing but smiles. Just an awesome view as you come off The Beast Close up! HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD SIR! Pretty sunset. Redbull gives you wiiinnnggssss. New sign. Through the foliage.. Ska-doosh. Vortex looks good and rides even better! That dude, is my dude. I liked this. Cannonball! Okay, okay okay Brad....we'll get back to DB soon! Laaauunnnnccchhh. Haven't seen the lights on the launch run on before. Red racer is awesome. A new view. Vapor trails, and ET sunset. Prettty! Looking around the corner... Ah, so pretty. Pick.... Your fav. Blue night skies. Plain night skies and the lift... Looks awesome at night! Aftermath I loved this =) Station and the lift at night What a nice night! Please comment! -Zach

^It's an option at the Diamondback gift store. Ask for it if they don't offer it.
-
I'd be willing to bet all seats are the same. Now, I know B&M makes "Big Boy" seats...the Hulk has one. But I'm not sure who else does. I've just heard of this. Maybe too much of a minority to put one in.
-
^^ ZACH HA! I saw you while I was on Diamondback the other day. I think Saturday...maybe Friday. I was in either the front or the back, and you were outside The Crypt..I yelled to take a picture! hahaha. I've recognized you from being around with Paul all the time.
-
I think 1.99
-
Brad, you beat me to it! Hahaha
-
I saw Nemo Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I think Saturday...hahaha. All weekend counts. Same with Karen! She witnessed my firefighting skills at 3 Point, haha.
-
The on ride photo booth inside the store quickly recognized us because we talked by 9 times. They were amazed that we kept riding Diamondback.... Kings Island doesn't know what re-ridability is yet I guess!
-
I was around DB most of the night. Got a total of 9 rides in along with the rest of the park. I was in the electric blue shirt...and the Madagascar Penguins hat
-
I'll be back for Haunt. If I get the option to pick a house, it'd be a tough choice.
-
In the front seat..you'd fall forward and out of the seat on the first drop if there was no restraint. There's no question that some coasters you could ride without a restraint..hell, Matterhorn at Disneyland uses a seatbelt...that's it! And mine was usually so loose that it really didn't make a difference that it was there. But Diamondback....no, you'd fall out of the train in MANY places along the track without a restraint. That's a fact.
-
Yeah...it was apart of the Diamonback blog updates in the winter....

I was browsing through photos, and I thought I snapped a shot of Don having some fun at KI on Sunday! But....I swear I took a picture of him on Diamondback earlier on in a different outfit; I was going to email him the photos! Is it our Don Helbig...or a look a like? -Zach
