  1. I really hope the queue doesn't have the big switchback section, then goes by the exit ramp to the right, to wrap around then up into the station....it seems like Firehawk; and with Firehawk's queue, there were sooooo many line jumpers. People would just cut in and out right where the entrance line goes by the exit. 7/10 times I waited for Firehawk, there was someone who jumped the queue. Adult or kid. And that's a huge pet peeve of mine....not only that, a park rule broken! There should be a more keen eye placed on that, especially if it's what I'm talking about...which I hope I'm making clear....nothing upsets me more that waiting in line and some stupid kids or adults or whatever trying to get by more or someone else 'to find their lost group' or just blatently jumping in line.
  2. Psh, I don't mind the comments everyone! Although I have to agree with J.D. ....the ride to and from would be a buzz kill to just be sitting there by yourself.
  3. Nothing scares me, but Slingshot made me nervous! If you're scared of Drop Tower, try going to Australia and taking a ride on Giant Drop...a 420ft Drop Tower...you hit nearly 100mph on the way down! Now that was an experience of a lifetime.
  4. ^I'd say almost 50% of the people at the concert didn't like Buckcherry....just from hearing people in my area talking about them. It was also funny when Josh said, "I wanna see everyone jumping!" Or "Clap for me" ....there were only about 20 people who listened, hahhaa. I liked a few of their songs, though....but Everything, the song I really like....sounded like CRAP! I'm not sure if someone was out of tune, or there was too much distortion, it just didn't sound good at all.
  5. Hey KIC! If there can be 'TR''s of job interviews, I assume this can fit. A week ago I got ot go to the Avenged Sevenfold & Buckcherry Concert at the Bank of Kentucky Center. It was my first big concert outside of Bogarts and other smaller, second tier venues. I moshed around, and went crowd surfing 4 times! Saving Abel opened up, and I was only familiar with the songs, Addicted; 18 Days; and New Tattoo. They opened up very strong, and interacted with the crowed well! They sounded great, and I'd recommend anyone else to see them if you like plain rock 'n roll with a twist from the south! They played 30 minutes, I'm not sure of the setlist, but I heard Addicted and 18 Days last; and new Tattoo was in the middle. Papa Roach came out next, and completely tore the place apart! Lead singer Jacoby was absolutely insane! He got the place going crazy, and he jumped off the stage and went into the crowd on the side, telling them to "Stand the f*** up, this is a mother f'n rock concert!!!!" They played: -Between Angels and Insects (opening) -...To Be Loved Some older stuff -Scars -Forever -Hollywood Whore -Getting Away With Murder -Last Resort Buckcherry took their time coming out, and they started off pretty slow...seeming like all they wanted to do is play and then get back to the bus. But once they played songs that everyone was familiar with, they finished very strong. Lead singer Josh Todd claims that, "there's one thing not to miss in life. And that's great, crazy sex!" And he went on and on about it, lmao. -Next To You (opening) -Onset -Lit Up -Broken Glass -Rescue Me -Out of Line -Too Drunk -Everything -Sorry -Crazy ***** Finally, Avenged Sevenfold came out. They were absolutely amazing. Synyster Gates played a GREAT solo. They promised to come back during the summer! -Unholy Confessions (opening) -Chapter Four -Afterlife -Brompton ****tail -Bat Country -Gunslinger -Dear God -Beast and the Harlot -Solo -Scream -Critical Acclaim -Almost Easy Sorry I'm so short on details....ask questions and I'll be sure to answer! The stage Saving Abel starting things up Everyone singing along to, Addicted The lights are hiding their lead guitarist, Scott Papa Roach's bassist....he was awesome! Jacoby....being Jacoby. :lover: Any drum enthusiasts out there? Buckcherry's Josh Todd. Supporting their new album, Black Butterfly. The only good shot of A7X =( Please comment! -Zach
  6. I'm just saying, you can play a lot of tricks with a camera. Messing with angles, lighting, and the depth of field.
  7. I just hope it's working this well during the season. It looks incredibly fast for going over the hills and rampaging through the course. I'm not sure if the trims are on/off along with the MCBr. Though it's still cold out and the train's full of water dummies....
  8. Why does THISSSS... look like a loop?
  9. Revolution looks like a freakin' death machine. X2, Tatsu, Riddler, and Deja Vu look great, and Terminator should be good. I'm glad to see how much this park has improved.
  10. No, I don't think so....I'm just a sure shot.
  11. VR? Sorry, I'm don't know all the words...
  12. Like The Interpreter has already mentioned, your captions are a lot of fun to read…being a Simpsons’ fan I liked the “Mmm....captions” caption! Keep up the great work. See ya, J.D. P.S. What, no shot of you in your report?! You almost seemed to be doing a me that day…I have read all of the trip reports and looked at the photos…and I haven’t noticed you in any of them…except for possibly one lone shot of your back. P.P.S. I haven’t noticed anyone mentioning it…but about how many people were there attending the event? J.D.! Thanks for the comments first of all, I was bummed you weren't going to make it, but I'm not sure if it would have been worth a 45 minute plus drive due to the weather. I always make sure to pay attention to little details, and find things that no one else might see or catch. I liked those two shots as well! <3 The Simpsons rock! I've got some Homer pants to lounge around in, I love them! lol! There was a shot in gigacoaster's PTR....but that's about it! I hardly EVER take pictures of myself, maybe just me in the seat of a coaster....but that's about it! I don't think I've gained that status of "Omg...it's Ki Man! *snaps a picture*" Hehehe....atleast, not yet There were about....35-50 people? Ish? -Zach
  13. I have a 15-55mm lense that I use for getting the whole idea of the shot, overviews, and panoramas. Then, I have a 55-200mm lense that's great for close ups, and even with going all the way up to 200mm, I can crop something out of he picture that's very small, and get a high detail quality. I freakin' love this camera. =)
  14. For those who want, feel free to use my pics as wall paper, just don't distribute them. Personal use is always cool with me. If you'd like a higher resolution, email me! -Zach boothe_z09@moeller.org
  15. Oh mah gawd, Ronny... those shots are incredible, dude. I can't compete! Nice pics, you two!
  16. Thanks for all the comments everyone =) I might be doing some cropping for close ups later...
  17. Really? ....just, really? Avatar, I would have loved to talk, but...freezing rain and wind isn't my best environment Thanks for the comments, everyone =)
  18. Hello KIC! In January, KIC was going to have a Diamondback Construction Tour...but due to mass amounts of snow and ice, it was canceled and postponed until yesterday! It was great talking to that one Mighty Ducks coach, Avatar, and I really, really suck at names, haha. Sorry for those who I forgot, but I know who you are! >.< I have to say, I was really nervous during the walkback because it was: -Windy -Just cold enough so where the rain wouldn't turn to snow -Dirty Lenses for my Nikon D40 And I'm proud to say I did my best to make these shots what they are! Please comment, and enjoy! The tour started off with a walk down International Street; coming up to the International Showplace, we get our first looks. Coming around through Nick U, here's the gran pano-rama. Dane man! Not lookin' too good! :PrBoddah looks concerned, too Red Beards' Revenge was in the building that was here. Here's the overview of the station and the entrance/exit. Peek-a-boo! [ As we continued down towards Rivertown, you see the second hill. That's right, second hill. The station's kind of western..ish...plain....cool? Mm....first drop goodness. 230ft at 74*...yum. That's a lot of airtime in one photo. Hello up thar. I hope you guys like twisty, because snakes do too. Diamondback's supports are within reach, so all you enthusiasts can hug away :lover: Old and new =) No, no, no, no...that's the second hill dude. Cedar Fair should go crazay over this red track. It's amazing. Check my title. I forgot which angle this was taken at, but every way I turn it...it's amazing. Flip'd....90 DEGREESE!!! I have a feeling you will turn to jello at the bottom of this drop. Money shot! Out of MCBR...into ravine. Wait...B&M....in Kings Island? Someone's going to LOVE this. Yeah, it goes RIGHT up and over the Crypt. Then, it roars right over your head before splashing in puddles like a little kid. Diamondback has a loop, I SEENT IT Beast get some work for turning 30 this year. Mmm....captions. Bringin' sexy back. Yup! I really, really hope the single rider line isn't like Maverick's. There's even airtime into the brake run! Take one! Take two! Take three! By now, we were in freezing rain. I'd ride it in the freezing rain. Train one, box 4, WC HYPER COASTER....Wheel covers? Big, bad, and full of venom. Thanks for showing us around, Don! ....let's get the hell outa here, I can't feel my face or hands! Thanks for readi... Woah, you're not going to show them the really good part? Dude, come on. What? Oh..the trains! There they are...those sexy beasts. Mr. Green Train....nice fangs. :lover: And the Orange Train :lover: Thanks for reading guys! Comments appreciated! -Zach
  19. I'm soooo beating you.
  20. EXCELLENT PHOTO TR!!!! How do you get such angles and quality in those shots, J.D.?!! He wore shorts again. J.D., I was waving to you by the way!
  21. Worst. Ride. Ever.
  22. Kings Island is clearly doomed. That's why they just dropped tens of millions of dollars on a new coaster for a failing park that's underpopulated and overpriced.
  23. Awesome pics, J.D.! I liked how mine came out! It was really nice meeting you, and a pleasure to hang out with you during the event! I hope to see you soon. -Zach
  24. Thanks, J.D.! Will I be seeing you on the 21st?
  25. That was my favorite =)
