  1. I'm pretty sure Kings Island has the most helices in any park.

    -Beast: 2

    -Vortex: 1

    -Diamondback: 1

    -Backlot: 1 or 2

    -Firehawk: 1

-Flight of Fear might as well count as one.

Not sure if we need any more! I could care less about inversions, I like airtime. If there's an inversion, give me a zero g.

The most meaningful helices I've been through are on Beast and Goliath (SFOG), and Titan.

  2. Carry on, do please, I will just sit here looking at ye olde celtic things, possibly a B&M base frame here and there, possibly a few inverted floorless coasters as well.

I like the colors of the dead, I really do. Infact I do like this black, it looks nice, although I will keep to my donkeys.

    "Yeeh Haw, Yeeh Haw"

Please, stop with the donkeys. This is (thankfully) not Theme Park Review. They aren't funny there, either.

Oh, please. At least Theme Park Review doesn't have any Big Sexy(s)

I think the floorless coaster is a gimmick, you only noticed it in the first row. I think Diamondback acts just as much as a floorless, the way the seats are so high up and the open air style. Also (On Superman Krypton Coaster) it was a bit odd you could actually kick the row infront of you and I'm not that tall at 5'8". Krypton Coaster was great, the way it interacted with the environment, but I don't see as many interesting possibilities here.

  3. I think the pepperoni is crispier and the pizza is better all around. But honestly, I never, ever, ever go to/order LaRosas outside of KI. Last time I did was when I got free pizza from a Reds game. Not hatin' just go to different places to eat.

  4. Ok, since I'm new here I'm not really sure who is who. Does Terp work for KI? And does he know what the new coaster is?

Terp is just a regular person. He's smarter than the average bear, so people think he's God or something so people think he can predict the future, know what ride comes in 2014, decipher certain messages, etc. He's pretty cool. Get to know him. But don't bow down to him assume he's affiliated with the park or with a higher power or 100% factual knowledge. ;)

Oh crap, this is my 1,111 post! at 11:11 PM. Terp had nothing to do with this. This changes nothing. Nothing, I say~!

  5. The thing with Vortex is you have to keep your head slightly out from the restraint so your ears don't hit the restraint. Almost feels like a brand new ride.

I know I know, but I rode it in the back seat for the first time in a long time and it was too powerful.

  6. Having worked on Diamondback, the restraint is not locked unless it is pulled down "three clicks" or else the train can not leave the station. There is no exception on any row on any train. You'll just have to clench and squeeze. If you have bigger thighs or waist...that's the killer ):

  7. So I see you guys haven't realized Big Sexy doesn't acknowledge anyone when you point out when he's wrong. Which is 70% of his posts. Don't waste your time trying to teach a 'pet rock' with the initials B.S. what a roller coaster is.

If this is a big invert, it would have to be pretty big seeing Wicked Twister is the tallest, right? But of course Alpengeist is the tallest, and has the longest drop in a full circuit.

Height is Wicked at 215ft followed by 205 - Alpengeist.

    Drop length.

1st 206 ft Wicked Twister Cedar Point Sandusky, Ohio, USA 5/5/2002

2nd 177 ft Aftershock Silverwood Theme Park Athol, Idaho, USA 7/21/2008

Giant Inverted Boomerang Jin Jiang Action Park Xuhui, Shanghai, China 9/30/2011

Goliath Six Flags New England Agawam, Massachusetts, USA 5/25/2012

Stunt Fall Parque Warner Madrid San Martín de la Vega, Madrid, Spain 8/8/2002 * 177 ft

unknown Sochi Park Adventureland Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, Russia 2013

Sky Mountain Mirabilandia Olinda, Pernambuco, Brazil 2009 3rd 175 ft

Steel Venom Valleyfair! Shakopee, Minnesota, USA 5/17/2003 4th 170 ft

Alpengeist Busch Gardens Williamsburg Williamsburg, Virginia, USA 3/22/1997

  8. I'd love a new log flume. One that actually floats the log in the water, not rides the on the bottom and roughly bashes into the sides.

/First a coaster fanatic, Second a Drop Tower fanatic, Third a log flume fanatic.

  9. At Kings Island? So far this year it has been Vortex. Just not aging well, unfortunately in my opinion. I've loved it in the past and know all the tricks to riding it but I think it's on its last leg. It beat up my jaw. Ahhh yeah wasn't really impressed with WindSeeker either.

Don't really like Vekoma Flyers either. Terrible capacity, terrible comfortability, rough, no reliability, and more or less a one trick pony.

  10. I was at the anouncement for ijst in 2004. After jeff siebert announced it I threw my season pass in his face of disgust and did not return till Diamondback.

You're the reason he left for better places like Schlitterbahn and Six Flags Feista Texas. You're full of it, I don't believe you did that; he's a great guy. Italian Job is a fun little ride. Can someone kick Big Sexy out of here please? I'm tired of this.

  11. It took ki 27 years to get a steel coaster from a major player (arrow dynamics does not count). Other paramount parks recieved b&m, intamin, & s&s' s. Ki is due for expansion of QUALITY rides.

"Major" coaster companies in definition change year by year. What you say is absolutely ridiculous and is driven by emotion, not thought or reason at all.
