This is very true. People may be agitated about being told which seat when they'd prefer the front or back but at Disney you could easily ask the attendant for a special lane. I've have asked for and been granted this many times. Plus this would help eliminate empty rows where groups of people are riding together but hop into unequally distributed lines and can't find someone to fill the empty space. I would be excited if KI started this trend.
I have a feeling that with the possible massive flocks of people going to ride Firehawk when it opens, they may have attendants there at first. However, I have never been to a coaster opening nor another Cedar Fair park.
I just checked out where US 71 meets I 44 in Missouri on Google Earth and that area is a much clearer satellite picture than anywhere around it. Coincidence?
I am a huge fan of the duel loading station for Firehawk to try to get people through quicker. But how will fans be assigned seats? Will it be the normal KI way with the patrons choosing their own lanes or how IJ:ST is (and how all Disney rides are) with attendants telling people which row they are in?
I just saw it again, after Wheel of Fortune on ABC. I finally paid attention and, yes, you can see what appears to be Steel Venom (Superman Ultimate Escape) in the background which means it's just an altered video of X-Flight.
Actually I think I do remember hearing something like that. Disney kind of tried to build around America with DisneyQuest interactive indoor theme park but after a while people stopped going. The Chicago one closed and others were never built. Hopefully they can use that to help figure out how to make this idea work.
Most likely not. If Disney builds another park that is not in CA or FL my guess would TX since it's about the mid-point and could be opened year round.
That looks pretty good. I'm sure some people would believe that it was real. The logo that you put on the front does look a little shady but overall it gets the job done.
Making money is one thing, but riders' safety is a horse of a different color. I'm sure if it does happen it won't be because of money (both trips I've taken to KI there have been people sitting in a full queue for Sling Shot).
I'll have to agree with the majority of the posters so far. When you think KI, you think of The Beast. Not only is it a great ride but if it's going to be the last of my life I'm going to want to go on a nice long ride. A close second for me would be Vortex. Both of those coasters are classic.
