I was thinking about getting to the park around nine as well. I was on Stealth (now BORG) when it was at PGA (now KGA) but I still want to be one of the first.

Simple question, are you planning on going to KI Saturday for Firehawk's opening? If so, what time are you getting there... I think I am going but I don't know how early I need to be there to get my shirt.

Single day tickets are cheaper on the internet if they are bought at least 3 days in advance. I don't think that seasons passes are cheaper. The only way to get money off on a season pass is to get 3 other people and get the Family Four pack (5 dollars off on each pass). I don't know about the check part.

Who all here is planning on being there Saturday morning and what time are you getting there? I might just have to show up.

"To celebrate the opening of Firehawk, Kings Island is giving away special commemorative Firehawk T-shirts to the first 2,500 riders each day from Saturday May 26th through Tuesday May 29th" It better not be. I expect a commemorative T-shirt with my name embroidered in crystals. Or just that I'm awesome.

Hopefully less people will show because of the chance of storms (which means I can get my shirt )

If you watch the video they have on the Firehawk pop-up for pki.com, you can tell that the simulation is of Stealth because at the end of the video the coaster goes into corkscrews and not barrel rolls

I hope not. I love me a good motion simulated ride. However, hasn't Spongebob been there for a while? I think Cedar Fair needs to contemplate making a new video for the theatre.

I just saw another commercial for Firehawk where it showed basically the same videos of X-Flight as before except that everything was in black and white.

When were they testing today? When I was in Fort Kinzel when the park opened they were doing landscaping and stuff and then when I went back around 2 it didn't see any testing.

Yeah, I have a feeling they haven't gotten the covers done yet. That would make the most sense.

I just took advantage of the early opening to Action Zone today and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. There might've been like 100 people, if that. You have to check out to see when the next ones are because it is definitely worth getting there at 9:30.

Now I don't feel too crazy. It is definitely something special...

That's why you gotta take advantage of the early entrance times for Gold pass holders. I went for that today and it was glorious. I walked on Face/Off, Delirium, and Top Gun.

I visited the area today and it was very relaxing considering it was just my girlfriend, the waterfall, and I. I think they should keep it peaceful, add some more benches to relax, and maybe some informative plaques about KI past or possibly a small quiet outside eating area like many have suggested. I am not a fan of the adding a ride there idea because that area is one of the few peaceful/quiet areas of KI.

Something interesting happened to me when I rode The Beast today. After starting off the day with Face/Off, Delirium, Top Gun, Vortex, IJ:ST, and the Eiffel Tower I managed to amass a headache. When I went to lunch, I took some of the Excedrin my girlfriend had in her purse. We then rode Scooby-Doo and got in line for The Beast. Unfortunately, my headache failed to go away and I almost didn't ride The Beast for fear of getting sick. However, that would've been my biggest mistake all day. Some how, for some reason, after riding The Beast my headache went down considerably. It didn't fully go away but I felt a lot better. Don't ask me how this happened but if I ever have a headache at KI again I will make my way back Rivertown and wait no matter how long the line is.

O I know. I purposely went to FoF first instead of The Beast so I could avoid the lines later in the day. I can only imagine the combined ride times of FoF and Firehawk next weekend.

Today when I saw Firehawk the two trains were on either side of the station but neither were traversing the track. There were people working on some landscaping at the entrance and other guys standing around planning their next moves.; nothing too big (that I saw).

Some action from Ft. Kinzel today was that FoF didn't open with the rest of the park. I was fifth in line and there was a trash can blocking the entrance to the queue and no one knew why. About five minutes later a lady came out and said that it is not opened and will open later in the day. When I checked around 2 there was an hour forty-five minute line. I have still yet to go on FoF this year because of the extreme about of people that flock to it.

If KI gets a B&M, we're all in for a real treat. I've only rode 2 B&M (Top Gun and Vortex at KGA) but I was impressed with how nice and smooth the rides were. Any type of B&M coaster would be good for KI (IMO).
