  1. I rode FoF 2 times yesterday (6/1) and something happened both times which I never ever remember happening before. For some reason, the car was brought to a complete stop at the mid-ride brake run near the top of the building and then allowed to slowly to inch its way out of the brakes and continue on its course. I'm not sure if I like it or not but it was definitely unexpected. Has anyone else experienced this or know why it was changed to this (at least on 6/1).
  2. I don't believe I have seen it but I will keep a look out for it. I do find it interesting that at some of the video monitors at KI (I remember seeing it while walking on Racer) they run commercials for Firehawk.
  3. Were you on the 11th train? Because I was in the station when that was about to leave and it went up and down 3 times before it left. I think we were around the 11th train or so. We didn't count. But yeah, we went up and down a couple times. The ride op even called it "Rocking Chair: The Ride" Yeah he did. I was in the station then waiting in line for the front car.
  4. "That's where I saw the leprechaun. He told me to burn things." --The Simpsons
  5. I can't wait to ride Thunderhawk. How many shirts are they giving out? Wait a minute, it's be there since 1923.
  6. I like the idea of the dive coaster around that lake in Rivertown. Hopefully if they put one there they would theme the coaster around the lake and, as you said, leave as many trees as possible. Rivertown doesn't really have that many rides that actually go with the idea of a town on/about a river or body of water so leaving the lake there and building the coaster around/partial over it would be a must.
  7. What is this, a roller coaster for ants? It needs to be at least... 3 times bigger.
  8. Were you on the 11th train? Because I was in the station when that was about to leave and it went up and down 3 times before it left.
  9. I don't know if you know this or read in on another thread, but for June (as the Gold Pass Meal Deal) if you get four people to go, the price for Wings is just $10 a person.
  10. Very true. Hopefully it goes away because it doesn't sound good IMO.
  11. Yeah, I noticed that too. Does anyone know if it did that at GL?
  12. The way I see it, there are 6 major elements on Firehawk... 1.) First Roll to Flying/First Drop, 2.) Horseshoe Turn, 3.) The Loop, 4.) The Barrel Rolls, 5.) The Helix, and 6.) going up and down in The Station. Which is your favorite? Mine has to be taking The Loop head first...
  13. It's probably one of the best ideas ever. Too bad it would never work unless you were like Bill Gates.
  14. O wow, that's never good. I'm not sure if mine fits or not because I might want to frame it and keep it in the best condition as possible.
  15. Uh... what do you expect? KI has a monopoly on food since it's their park and people aren't that willing to leave the park in the middle of the day to go some where else to get something to eat. The same is true at professional sports stadiums as well as all other theme parks. Disney is atrocious as well with their food prices.
  16. Exactly. The ride didn't open till 1:30ish. If Maverick didn't open till three and a half hours after the park opening, I can guarantee that most people would've waited 5+ hours to ride it. Even though both KI and CP have had 3 coasters constructed in this millennium (before this year) KI has had one which was a kiddie coaster (RRR), one that was a cookie-cutter family coaster (3 IJ:ST were constructed by Paramount), and one which was riddled with problems from the start (SOB) whereas CP as had 2 record breaking coasters (MF and TTD) and then Wicked Twister. So naturally people at KI would be willing to wait to ride a coaster that they might not have rode even though it was just sent down the highway and rebuilt. It's still a great ride and people were excited for the opening.
  17. So are you suggesting that they should take out SOB?
  18. That is a beautiful sight. It makes me think of the South Park episode "Cartmanland" where Cartman receives a huge inheritance and buys the local theme park to have it all to himself.
  19. Or people with three friends...
  20. Yeah, it is very nice to have. They should've had them in the season pass center and handed them out when you got your picture taken.
  21. This is very very true. This sounds like a very good rumor.
  22. If you want, you can go to the Guest Relations at the front of the park on your next visit and ask for the Gold Pass deal pamphlet. It has the list of all the meal deals as well as a calendar with which section of the park opens early that day.
  23. And I, for one, can't wait to see how CF expands the park since Paramount found it "necessary" to remove the vintage cars to put in IJ . I'm guessing that they will be overjoyed with the possibilities since CP takes up about 100% of the land it owns.
  24. Actually, I see it the other way around. If your a gold pass holder, you're probably in the park several days a season so you can afford to blow half a day on one ride. I agree with BoddaH1994. Now that I have a season pass I don't feel as rushed as when I only had a single day admission. If I only had a single day admission, there would be no way I'd go on a ride's opening day because of unforeseen malfunctions and the possible crowd size.
  25. I waited about five hours (including waiting for it to open).
