^You captured my feelings exactly!

For me personally, an addition to Soak City is the equivelent of getting something new in the women's restrooms. I don't "do" the waterpark...but my family does so they will appreciate it.
-
John, Just like everyone else has been saying, thank you SO much for taking the time to share all of these photos! That has always been my opinion...I will miss it from the park's skyline...whenever that day comes.

I hope the park puts some effort into the 40th Anniversary...the 40th is a bigger deal than the 35th. (In my opinion.) I hope they put some banners up around the park...the vinyl welcoming billboard over the entrance hopefully will hype this milesone. As for merchandise, I would like to see an anniversary snowglobe...at the VERY least a button. I could live without a new attraction this year if the park looks a little spruced up making it look special.

As Homer Simpson would say "It's funny because it's true".

^Thanks for sharing the campground photos!

I am guessing that if you contact Avatar he would be more than happy to help you out...or help you out the door as the case may be. -
I like today's Kings Mill photo...mostly because it shows the perfect amusement park ride...a ride the whole family can ride together. The family in the log look like they are having a great time*. *Squirting elephant or Snoopy not included. Void where prohibited by law.

Are you fearing that someday someone will ask you "Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Kings Island Central Party?" -
I couldn't agree more...I find it ironic that something called Facebook is so impersonal. (I will say that maybe I feel this way due to my age.)

^Unless he simply dictated the letter...I give him credit for being able to type with those claws.

I believe that is the almost the definition of an artist...just switch the word hobby with love. I wish I had a photo worthy to contribute...I would find it an honor to have it being used by the park's fans.

But on the other hand, this could be the lucky break some budding photographer needs to get his/her work noticed. I think it is great that the park is coming here...this is what USED to be so great about this site back in the day, the park treated "us" as an ally not an enemy. I know that there are at least 5 posters on this board who take excellent photos so I bet they get some good submissions.

^Very nice picture...whether it is or not, it reminds me of how it looked back in the 70's.

Paul, just so you know...I haven't had a specific (worthwhile) comment to make about your latest 2 photos...but I AM enjoying them.

Thanks for doing this thread...it was fun.

I have fond memories of King Cobra...mostly because it was one of my mom's favorite rides...but I personally enjoy Delirium a lot more than King Cobra.

From the air I like how open it is...but I know I would hate it if I were on ground level...it would be like being in Boomerang Bay.

^I THOUGHT I was safe wording it like that here on an amusement park forum... P.S. How far can we take this thread off course?!

I miss Wings...not the decor or the name...just the lower prices! As a bit of trivia, Wings was the first "Best Picture" Academy Award winner...yet it has never been out officially on DVD...it is finally being released on January 24th!

^Hopefully you will figure it out in the future...I would love to see them!

The Beast photo looks like it could be one of those old Tide commercials.

The campground was truly proof that money does not buy happiness. The Kings Island Inn (Where we stay now.) is by far more expensive than the campground...but I have tons more fond memories staying at the campground....even the skunk that waddled by our cabin one night!

^I am so sorry...that sounds like a nightmare...but it also sounds like it could have been worse had you not been lucky enough to have had the help of the paramedics & nurses. (There is always a silver lining.)
