  1. I don’t know if this eBay listing counts…but I was loving it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/354189460274?hash=item5277564332:g:K0wAAOSwovFi4XGk
  2. I have absolutely no inside knowledge…but maybe they never expected to sell that many of these…but they thought they could make a profit at $8.99 but then sales are even less than they predicted, so they felt the need to raise the price? (None of them are sold out on the site.) P.S. Either that, or they’re like a drug dealer who gets you hooked and then raises their prices!
  3. I would have loved for the pins to stay at $8.99 but the price increase doesn’t shock me. These pins seem to be more of a labor of love than a goldmine sales item…I can’t picture the park making these in a very big quantity, at least most of them…how many people are really going to pick up the Skeeball one? (Even though I think it is cool.) I think the park needs to charge more to make up with this fact of having a lower run of them. (Just my guess.) I just hope the series does in fact make it all the way to 50. (My wallet is saying otherwise though! )
  4. Now that I know that the tower is metal I placed my preorder. On a side note, I love KIGear and would be lost without it since I am in Illinois. I would miss out on a lot of limited stuff if not for it…but I wish they could fix how the site calculates shipping. If I ordered the tower plus 4 pins together in one shipment, shipping was around $28.00… but if I order the 4 pins separately in one order and the tower in another order shipping comes to a total of under $16.00…that is a big difference!
  5. Yes…I wish they would just bring them out in bigger batches. As it stands I wait until 4 new ones are available and order them then…that way shipping is about $8.00…so about $2.00 a pin.
  6. I like how they tell us how tall the actual tower is at the park…but not how tall the one they are selling is.
  7. I would really like to see a Viking Fury poster in the future…I think it is a both a classic…and an underrated ride. I would also like to see a Dodgem…or maybe a compilation of Dodgem, Monster, Scrambler & Shake Rattle & Roll…although that may be too much to get into one poster cohesively.
  8. Numbers 9 & 10 are now available on KIGear.
  9. I wonder if they are completely/forever sold out…or if they just didn’t manufacture/cut all that they could have with the wood that they saved, maybe they were just testing the waters to see how much demand there was. (The site didn’t mention a particular number of pieces that they were selling.) Edit: It’s back in stock. Edit: Sold out again at the moment.
  10. I swear the park is going to break me this year! https://www.kingsislandgear.com/collections/new-apparel/products/racer-nanocoaster-with-authentic-track-piece

  12. @mikejenkins1 Thanks for the info. Being that I am in Illinois I don’t get the opportunity to make multiple visits, so this helps me out a lot. You mentioned 2 different 50th pins. I have the one that came with the 50th set on the KIGear site…is this one of them…or are there now 3 different 50th pins?
  13. And now the next 2! https://www.visitkingsisland.com/blog/2022/july/kings-island-50th-anniversary-pin-releases-week-3-tumble-bug-and-k.i.--miami-valley-railroad i just read that there are going to be 50 pins in this series…that is incredible…with that many pins, there should be some interesting ones coming up.
  14. @mikejenkins1 Thanks for posting this…I didn’t know about these.
  15. I agree, being at the foot of the fountain you get the “full” show…I also agree that it is best to be standing to see the fountains…but 95% of the crowd just wants to chill and watch the show sitting down, which I totally understand…it’s a nice way to end the day. So, for the people who do want to stand…I recommend standing back by the International Restaurant, that way you are not blocking anyone’s view and you also get to see everything.
  16. It’s nice too see the Kings Island Inn again! I know it was kinda rundown in the end, but I still miss it. Thanks for sharing.
  17. I have never seen the group of tall unicycle riders…that looks cool.
  18. Well, personally I deal with enough fools in my everyday life without searching them out on Facebook.
  19. I wish the park would have thought of a nicer name than V.I.P., it sounds too egotistical for me. ( For lack of a better word.) I have never felt comfortable even participating in things titled like this. I do not think that simply having more available spending money than someone else makes that person a “Very Important Person”. I think they should have just given it more of a generic name…something like The Coaster Lounge, The Action Lounge, The Coaster Zone…The Oasis…something that sounds more like a destination, and not a statement. (Yes, I would dump the V.I.P. From the tour title too…just call it an “All Access Tour” package.)
  20. ^ I love all that the park is doing!
  21. I am sure autocorrect is responsible for this sentence…what did you mean to say? (I couldn’t decipher it.)
