I don't think that having the rides themed to shows is that important...but I DO think that it IS important to have popular characters running around...my Nephew's eyes really light up whenever he sees a Nick character...he couldn't care less about HB characters, let alone Snoopy. If the park is trying to save money they might as well drag out Felix The Cat or Betty Boop because the end result would be the same as The Peanuts and probably even cheaper than they pay for that license.

Sorry for the late reply...but thanks for sharing your pictures. You took quite a few good ones...this one is my favorite though: It turned out very good...it is nice and sharp & the exposure seems just right. (I did see you at the event fairly often...I just never got around to introducing myself.)

Sorry for the late reply...but as always, thanks SO much for doing the aerial shots...they are always my favorite.

Not at all...if it weren't for fansites like this I would not have gotten a "heads up" to make sure I had plenty of photos of things that were being removed...like HB Land, Swan Lake, the Antique Cars, The Flying Eagles, the old Paramount theming...and this year The Beast entrance. (Not to mention the chance at enjoying them all while I could.) I live for all of the early news and photos!

As much as I don't like having to get through the gauntlet of photographers at the entrance I have also learned to have sympathy for them on what must be a hard job. I (obviously) never let them take my picture...but I am polite when I turn them down.

No, I am aware of that. (I feel like I am back in school and getting a lecture from a teacher!)

I know some people will say things like I am a tree hugger and/or a whiner...but it is killing me to see all the trees that are giving their lives for this coaster. I miss The Beast days when every possible tree was saved during it's construction. I remember at KIC Day someone asked at the Q&A session if the fountain trees were going to be trimmed...the answer was something to the affect of "people complain already that there isn't enough shade...so we walk a fine line of saving them when we can". I find it hard to believe that all of the trees that are being removed for Diamondback HAD to be...but I guess I will see for sure when this is all complete.

Nice trip report...as always...nice photos too. I am also glad that you stopped to take the shots of the marquee...the "Thank You For Spending Time With Us" is a very nice sentiment, it personalizes the park and makes it seem less corporate.

Because most of my trips have revolved around my young Nephews lately, the ride I have ridden the most this year is probably the train...which is one of my Nephew's favorites...so much for it only being transportation to Boomerang Bay! (My #2 would be SDHC)

I cringe every time I see KI lose another tree...at my age I will be lucky to still be going to the park before they could regrow some of these trees back to the size that they were. I hope the park does not become an asphault wasteland.

I already plan on that...if only to avoid the long line for Urgent Scare on Saturday night...the reason I was asking was because I wanted to be prepared to get lots of pictures of the scaractors...something that I can't do when they are in their haunts.

I saw in another post a video that showed a swarm of scaracters walking by Wings on their way to their haunts...do they come inside Wings on their way by?
