  1. Mmm, fascism much? I think it's great that they're trying to get the parents to try to disconnect with the office and connect with their children but I would be darned if I were to be made to leave my iPhone. I think in the end it's a personal choice that should strongly be encouraged but not enforced. That's just going a little too far.
  2. The smoking thing is pretty annoying. I don't mind smoke at all but I get tired of the disrespectful smokers. I was on the railroad today and someone was smoking the whole time, even during the no smoking announcement.
  3. I totally understand what you mean. It just seems like it's too difficult for people to be kind and considerate these days. No one looks pleasant and it seems like an effort for them to even speak. I too try to watch everything I say and do. I have a rather colorful vocabulary and so do my friends. I always have to remind them not to use that language. There ARE other people around. I get pretty angry when they try to smoke out of areas or toss their butts around on the ground. (No funny comments Interp.)
  4. ^ I'm going to try to forget ever hearing that Interp.
  5. But, how many people actually think that when they're looking at it? Many people are still in the mindset that it isn't safe. Not because it isn't, it is safe. Just because some people don't think.
  6. Wow, dandy gif Dane.
  7. It certainly was hell. But that's why she's my ex.
  8. I wasn't there but you can see pictures of the band and the HB characters in the KI Central Photos section. I know that's not quite what you were looking for but it does prove they were there.
  9. Wow, looking at all the pictures I noticed the life in the park. It's amazing what was restored to the park with all the HB characters, the band, and all the other live entertainment. I wish the park could stay like that. It needs that festive feeling when you walk in the gates. Right now it just feels lonesome. Anyway, great pictures guys. That one Ronny took with the remote cam was pretty awesome.
  10. Glad to hear the jump went well! As for the waste of time, I wouldn't think so. How many times can you say you saw Robbie Knievel jump 24 Coke Zero Busses in the parking lot of Kings Island? That's right, once.
  11. Thinking about it. I think that it probably has a lot to do with self image and self security issues. Usually those that are confident & secure in themselves and in their relationships do not have the need to do that. This is very true. I actually saw a girl get mad because her boyfriend slowed down a kiss she was instigating. She accused him of not wanting to kiss her in front of all the hot girls at the park... I had to roll my eyes at this. Im not making fun of anyone having self esteem issues but some people just get embarrased being groped in front of everyone! I felt really bad for the guy, though, she got out of line in Firehawk, when they had been waiting about an hour and a half in front of us and he went after her. I turned to my husband and said "Id be finding you after the ride" That's how my ex was. She couldn't seem to understand that I didn't want or need to be all over her in front of everyone else. She tried to pull the same shenanigans in school too. That didn't fly either. We had several fights about the whole affection thing. As for the couple in line. I too would have said, "See you after the ride!"
  12. I haven't seen many adults. I have seen them though. Far sicker. I just picture my parents in the same position and gross out.
  13. Nice pictures! I really like the first one. Great composition.
  14. Yuck. That reasoning part of the brain IS the last to develop so you know... My ex would always try to and I wouldn't let her. I always felt embarrassed, not because of her but because it was just repulsive to be all over each other in public.
  15. Beastfan, as nice as it was to see that, you can't post it here. Check the (I believe) Robbie Knievel FAQs topic.
  16. No kidding. I can understand, since I'm most of the people that make out's age, that it's hard not to. But they need to tell themselves that there are other people around that don't want to see it. I know their thoughts though, "I love him/her, there's nothing to do, he/she looks hot, let's jam my tongue down his/her throat!"
  17. I wish I could go. My school's graduation was last night so I have a bunch of open houses to visit. Needless to say, I would rather see Robbie Knievel.
  18. lol! That's pretty funny. Nothing like pavement to make the ride thrilling.
  19. Yeah, I can understand that. It's difficult to execute right. I've been messing with it but my results aren't wonderful. I like it but in moderation. I do get a little sick of seeing everything in HDR on Flickr, even if it is stunning.
  20. That's great! You certainly have it planned out. I have to say I like the 10mm fisheye. Have you done any HDR work? I would think you could do wonders with that.
  21. Awesome man! The last one's sky is quite impressive. Was that an HDR? Did you get a new fisheye lens?

    New track?

I don't know, it looks to me like that crown piece isn't setting up a 90ยบ drop.

Don't get me started on gum. It's especially bad when it heats up and sticks to everything.
  24. Unless your camera is out during the time of the jump, I don't see it being much of a problem. Let me get this straight, is still photography allowed without permission? And Ronny, wow! The Canon 1Ds Mark III?

Speaking of red-necks, last time i went to KI i was in the queue hangar for FoF and a family of rednecks were all eating an orange. I guess it had seeds in it cause they kept spitting stuff into the trash can... That reminds me... I'm getting real tired of people spitting on the paths and ques. It's pretty easy to step in it if you aren't looking, plus is shows a general disrespect for the park.
