Come on....haven't you figured it out? Here is the equation.....P + H= $(CP) where P = CedarPoint (pimp) and H = Kings Island (Ho) and $(cp) = dollars for Cedar Point. From this point forward Kings Island is the Ho to Cedar Points Pimp. Only expect enough attraction dollars to bring in the real dollars for CP.

Only one thing concerns me.......lying on my back at ground level, within spitting and trash throwing distance. Are there any plans for a barrier from spectators?

^Wow.....I'd pay extra to go to that fearfest!

I think the Cowboy Carnage could be replaced with a haunted house that follows the theme of Dead Silence. I have attached a link to the website that explains the theme. http://www.deadsilencemovie.net/

Actually, the theming was there before Cedar Fair, and has been whittled away with concrete since CF took over. I went back in the 70's and KBF was quite comparable to Disney land. What they have now is several oversize rides that take the place of many other rides that were there before. The place is much, much smaller than Geauga lake, yet "foot print" doesn't seem to matter in this case. (Would you pay $5.00 to ride sky hawk? You will at Knott's) Don't get me wrong, it's a GREAT park, however, it seems that asphalt and concrete are cheaper than landscaping at Knott's. The only grass that I remember seeing was around Big Foot Rapids....anyway, glad you had a great trip.

Eat White Castles and Krystal burgers = leave brown stained underwear under UFO (see forum things found at KI)

I'd like to see more "River" type rides in Rivertown......perhaps a water coaster.
-
A flat ride. I think it's called Matterhorn at Cedar Point.

Take out the water tower and movie posters from Action Zone and put in a Flying Bobs.

Each of the buildings represents a European country, therefore, each should/ could provide food/snacks from that country....hence.....Why not build a restaurant above each building that flows from one end of International Street to the other... kind of like City Walk with brand name shops below. Of course, there would need to be access ramps and elevators, perhaps escalators.

I guess Michael Jackson is moonwalking the sands right now with joy!!!!

New For 2007! Kings Island Presents Firehawk!
upstop replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Vekoma Flyer....Been there......Done that..... I'm more excited about Mystery Mine, Griffon, Maverick and Renegade. See ya NEXT summer. -
oops, forgot about Knoebel's Phoenix. How about Falcon, or Gargoyle, anything but Firehawk. I guess the Paramount plan called for a Volare coaster as a cheap imitation.
-
I wonder what Paramount's plans actually were??? I think the coaster should have been called Phoenix. "Phoenix....fly it again in 2007, only at King's Island"
-
Hmmm....Interesting oberservation. I thought it was kind of strange to say that there was too large of a footprint to Geauga Lake and only to remove one specific coaster. It would be in keeping with the Area 51 theme to move Steel Venom as well. If it is true that we also get Steel Venoml, I wonder if we can expect Dominator and the other Six Flags coasters too?

I liked everything that Paramount did up until IJST. It really should have gone in Action Zone somewhere.

How about the name X-lax. Just kidding, but I'm not really impressed with a used ride. They have to do something special to get me to wait for 3 or 4 hours. What about an indoor flying coaster, kind of a followup to Flight of Fear, flying over the surface of Mars. Just a thought.

Women don't lie.........Example Duke University case.

Thanks for the link to the website. It brought back many, many memories. There are a couple of things that I noticed about Coney and Kings Island. If you look at the Top O' The Mall restaurant, it looks like a restaurant in New Orleans Square at Disneyland (there was some connection with Disney at one time) Also, looking at the post card from the tower at Kings Island towards the main gate; I had no idea that Kings Island didn't open with an International restaurant......In what year did they add the International Restaurant open and when was it closed?????

I'd like to see some more flat rides like they had at Coney Island. I'd like to see a modern version of the Lost River, a water coaster. A Haunted House would be nice too, maybe in Rivertown. As a matter of fact, I'd like to see more rides in Rivertown. There has been a push for capacity rides, however, I don't think most people mind waiting as long as a line continues to move. Waiting is sometimes a part of the attraction.

PKI.com has put the announcement up again on the main page but not on the calender. It states "Be on the lookout for a Major Announcement coming soon about the 2007 season!!" Do you think the key words are clues...."be on the lookout".

Now it's a fly-diving coaster. I bet no one would get to ride it twice.
