  1. Heck, in the inns current state, the experience could be right up there with Motel 6...
  2. Diamondback would be my choice, if the crew gets their act together.....nothing like the fastest line in the park being dragged out to be an hour or more when the queue is only half full. (also, nothing like watching Fastlaner's running circles to and from the entrance to the exit while you wait that hour either.)
  3. Over the gate giga at KBF? Good Lord I hope Knott...lol. anything that high would have to fly out info the burbs through back yards. Talk about no room to expand, KBF is at maximum capacity already.
  4. ...Or the lift hill could leave from the station in the other direction towards Timberwolf then return to a break run facing the opposite direction and in the same location as the old SOB breakrun...
  5. In 1979, I made my first trip west. KBF didn't even register on my radar. Our family friends insisted on going to the park and it was one of the most memorable experiences I had during that trip. The theming of the park was what I was secretly hoping would happen at KI. It was like a separate "land" of Disney. The rides were fantastic and themed. The theme of the day was "authentic". Authentic ore cars, covered wagons and stage coaches....wonderful, wonderful food and fun. Most recently, my last visit was in 2005. The park had certainly lost its charm. Several acres of concrete and as many rides as possible crammed into every nook was quite disorienting and somewhat chaotic. I have to say the cramped nature was claustrophobic to me. I was disappointed in the way it looked and how it made me feel. I nicknamed the park Cedar Point West. I am pleased that they are moving back somewhat in a nostalgic direction. And with some of Matt O's improvements, I see some good things happening.
  6. It was a much better family attraction before Kinzel got his hands on it.
  7. And that's the day I walk out the gate. Hate crowds and slower than snot moving lines.....see ya!
  8. Here is an example of PETA's intelligence level....a few summers ago they sent hoards of protesters to protest animal testing where they gathered and marched outside of the Chemed Corporation building downtown. They were protesting chemical testing of animals...and no one in the hoards bothered to do research because Chemed is a corporation that operates the wholly owned subsidiaries of VITAS Health Care Services specializing in end of life hospice care and Roto-Rooter plumbing and drain cleaning.
  9. ^^Correct. Imagine if there is a pre-show that is available to everyone, however, someone in a wheelchair is denied access to view the show because of thin queue lines. Although they might gain access from an exit to the attraction, they might in deed want to see the show. It really is good business practice to allow them to see the show and to wait in line with their loved ones, rather than being an 'out cast' to the exit line.
  10. It really does look nice! It needed to be updated to ADA standards with the wider queue lines.
  11. Looks like a new queue/entry way as well as new concrete everywhere! Yay! Hope they didn't chop out the pine trees....
  12. It was.....RESURRECTED!....from the dead, no less....bwahahahahaha
  13. Corn Stalkers could come back in A Zone behind Congo Falls or in the old Construction Zone behind the Dogems, but I think it would work between FAAC and RFYLCB in the old access road, but that depends on if its still there after the creation of the petting zoo. Probably going to be more haunt buildings popping up this year.
  14. Tearing out the Tower Gardens so late in the construction season kind of leads me to believe one of the following: A. It's something big that will take a long time to build or B. It's something not considered relative enough to have completed by opening day or C. It's more patio space that will open later in the season I think it's most likely C, a revamp of the Tower Gardens as a cleaner, more modern venue that will open later.
  15. I think we should have a birthday party for Banshee with a celebration and a blue and mystic red iced cake with 3000 candles (since the legend of the Banshee is probably that old)....maybe even a pruple and red balloon release.
  16. You know when.....you are driving down a country road, you see a dip in the road, and you intentionally speed up so you can experience airtime.
  17. Why not something like this...talk about personalizing the day! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nn416Bd0__8
  18. You should fit fine on all of the rides at KD and Busch...the only ride I had trouble on there was Alpengeist. Even though I was able to lock in, they moved me to the big boy seat.
  19. I find it necessary to repeat myself sometimes.....tehehehehe....
  20. At that time I weighed 254, 40 inch waist (with Dunlap) and I fit on everything. I'm a bit bigger in the chest but fit comfortably. On Volcano, the ride attendant had to push down about an inch. On Drop Tower they pushed down about an inch but both were comfortable in the chest area. I305, I was able to lock myself in comfortably. My friend is smaller in the waist but larger in the chest and was able to fit on everything too. I also fit on TTD and MF last summer as well. I don't fit on KIs Drop Tower or Wicked Twister as of last summer either. Heck I'd give Dominion a try. I was pleasantly surprised that their Drop Tower was so loose on me since the test seat was impossible to lock and totally surprised that with one finger my friend was able to lock me into the test seat of Volcano. Somewhere on the site, Lorax took a picture of me last summer and posted that and I'm significantly larger that the others in the group.
  21. I take it you aren't a fan of Leap the Dips, Avalanche, or Flying Turns? I don't associate with THAT side of the family. They tend to be flighty and reckless. I, on the other wheel, am cautious and controlling....
