ki is notorious for short ride cycles. Throw in Fastlane, and wait times increase. Heck, anymore I do my gold pass ert and leave. I dont even bother with flats because of the short experience.

Trying To Figure Out Name of Old Fear Fest Attraction.
upstop replied to hploviedovie's topic in Kings Island
Great name!......And it could fit perfectly in or near X-Base someplace. With big creatures, it could be partially in and out of buildings lots of chain link fencing for mazes and military vehicles with fake firepower and flame pots.... Even this could be part of the show....(even though it is Green Peace, it still is just weird enough for a Halloween Haunt attraction pre-show.) -

This could have a preshow Leading through a mock home with the mannequins and then army soldiers rushing people to safety while fighting off the mutant creatures. What could a haunt like this be called? -

How about a 1950's post atomic testing haunt, where all of the "phobia" creatures (rats, spiders, snakes, etc) are abnormally large. -
or television business for that matter.

If it was never animated, that means it was ordered as a static prop which is much cheaper than an animatronic version. Speaking of "animatronic" spiders, THIS: ...is what I'm talking about! Have that as a finale scare for the spider maze and peeps would almost literally be tumbling over each other trying to run away. That would be terrifying in a haunt! .....Love it!!! -

^^ how about actually using the animatronic spider (that was never animated) from the Bayou Bloodbath attraction. That thing was freaky as heck in the dark...I kept expecting it to jump up but only got scared when the ghillie suit guy came out from under it...that was the real scare. I literally jumped when it happened....LOL. interestingly, fake spiders and webbing in strobe lighting looks rather real....add in snakes and maybe a scene like this... http://0.tqn.com/d/themeparks/1/7/9/n/HHNDuringB.jpg -

I think an entire haunt attraction based on phobias could be interesting. Fear of spiders Fear of snakes Fear of _______ fill in the blank. -

It wss " revenge of the mummy" when it was in the games building on Coney Maul. -
Kind of looking forward to an International Food and Wine type festival at Kings Island. Think it could happen?
-
I think they are waiting for a delivery of supports. The last couple of days there hasn't been a lot of activity to view.

I really enjoyed the Reds Grille at Kings Island. I actually spent money that I don't usually spend at the park this year.
-
And the prior hot dog and hamburger feast that was Paramount, (at least at first). I also hope we get at least two, maybe three more table service restaurants.
-
^ how about just removing it to another park.

The one demographic that would willing go would be.....families with small children and grandparents....those older folks who are not adrenalin junkies and who are mainly overlooked throughout the regular season.....resulting in mo' money for the park.....and it is working in other seasonal parks, very well I might add. Dollywood and Busch Gardens Williamsburg come to mind, neither of which are left out the blizzard zone. They manage and even on a bigger scale than the previous incarnation of Winterfest (2005).

Hmmmm......Invertigo's name could be changed to something like Jekyll and Hyde, and have the queue line enclosed and made interactive with as a mad scientists lab. That would satisfy the dark atmosphere. edit: Almost sounds like the area could be remamed something on the lines of an Edger Allen Poe theme. Bat Banshee Pit and the Pendulum Jekyll and Hyde drop zone..."the tell tale heart" with a beating heart noise until the carriage drops. What other names might be appropriate? Then it really could become the Amusement Dark

What if I decide to ride it opening day and opening night?

Congo Falls could be renamed Lost River. However, IMO, I think that name should be reserved for a new dark ride/watercoaster combo type ride that could utilize the current Congo Falls station and possibly leave the area and go into the valley/bufferzone west of the ride, then return to the current splash area.

I think the best way to return this event is to gage what the public wants then start out small, but expand over time. They have to rebuild a fan base and like any business, realize that their best customers are those that are local. Give them something that will keep them coming back throughout the holiday season. I would think that their retail would have to be unique and their food fair as well. I would start out with I street, skating, ki theater, train ride and a few sife attractions. If the event were to succeed, who knows how big it could become. There are so many possibilities.

I'm.going to go out on a limb and guess that the trains will be the same only painted black....at least for 2014. Now, if you don't mind I'm going back in off this limb. it's pretty darn high
