there was one in the grass by Diamondbacks exit at dusk one evening.... and people were trying to reach through the fence to pet the kitty. needless to say we went through the short exit to avoid possible spray.

AVATAR Is Going To Animal Kingdom
upstop replied to Avatar's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Wow, another reason to raise ticket and resort prices, yay! -
That second ride in the pictures above would look mighty nice in Oktoberfest....LOL
-
Wow. Those were the days. What a fun flashback. Thing that got me the most: $23.95 adults $11.95 for children

Or Pebbles overflow...LOL...I remember wondering just what was overflowing....
-
Is there still a S.O.B. parking section? If so, I imagine that will become Banshee.
-
You're probably right. You know how some people take things to the extreme around here...LOL. It's probably nothing more than a cleanup/paint job.
-
if they were to paint it black, the cool effect would would be that it's so dark in that valley, that. you couldn't see the track or supports... unfortunately most of us have ridden it so many times it wouldn't matter.... but it's still would be a good effect.
-
Rhetorically, why would we need Banshee with the same feeling as Invertigo. It's all good...LOL
-
Interesting. Has a wide open feel to it now. Maybe we will finally get those new(old)-fangled retro-fit dangly feet cars. http://rcdb.com/784.htm?p=8588

yes there appears to be no filtration. it looks like an icky, disgusting pond, unless the waterfalls feature is there to recycle te water. I think the falls are there to recycle water from the splash down pit, of course it may skim surface water too.
-
Correct there were never plans in the blue prints, however the splashdown, designed by B&M includes an indented portion where part of the splash leaves the pond. CF probably decided not to include that as a part of the attraction. http://rcdb.com/4253.htm?p=27244

Maybe they are cleaning out the queue to move that long queue all the way back to the field before the staircase, thereby opening up the entire area from the bridge back for a few flat thrill rides....someone mentioned Spooky Hollow. I think that is a great idea starting from Banshee back to the woods. There would be space for maybe two exciting flat rides in that area, and maybe a shop or food stand too. Personally, I'd put a Tilt-a-whirl and a Flying Eagles back there. Eventually, they could eliminate Timberwolf Amphitheater and open up a chunk of property to circle through the "Hollow"

We have officially gone off topic. (If you really want to talk about this, please make another topic.)I will be there soon and I really wish they would keep the old scenery. Sorry for getting your underoos in a twist....back on track now. I saw little bits of activity going on under Flight deck in its old queue line earlier this summer. It looked like some of the theming was being removed but there was nothing noticeable until now. I'm thinking that there is a major cleanup going on right now, maybe for a new theme but I think most likely for a new paint job, as a spruce up to Action Zone.

There is a curved in portion of the splash down that was built for a splash zone, but it was fenced in. It's not a big area but you can see that it is the only area that water splashes from the pool.
-
With THAT foul smelling brack? YUCK-A-DOO!!! Of course it would have to be chlorinated and shocked, that's for sure.
-
It's gone now, replaced by a tree.
-
They could paint it black to look like a dark pond and finally add the boulders that were promised in the video and It would look great. I'd even go as far as opening the splash down splash zone as an attraction for visitors.
-
Why not paint it pool blue. Are there any splash down coasters that are icky like ours? It looks like a rusty puddle from the tower.

Disney Changing Disabled Guest Policy
upstop replied to Oldiesmann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The abusers were actually paying a handicapped person who advertised their services. I think Disney was ****ed because they weren't getting their piece of the pie.( money changing hands) hence the change. -
it was about half the size or less than the current Dogems.
