  1. the louisville zoo also has it, or at least they did over the summer when i went, but they don't have the moving seats like Kings Island does, but on the plus side they do have scent, so you could smell the pickle i guess.

  2. I guess it is just me, but I am not a big Maverick fan. It just doesn`t do anything for me. I`d much rather ride Millenium Force or Magnum over Maverick.

it's not just you, the only reason i ride maverick is for the dark tunnel launch and the last over-banked turn, and the over-banked turn is only because i think it looks awesome.

but anyway, i would wait up to two and a half hours for my favorite ride, but only if the other rides at that park had that long of lines too.

on a side note, last summer when i went to disney world, my family and i waited about two and a half hours just to ride peter pan's magical flight and after waiting in that line and riding, i realized that it wasn't as good as the time i rode it when i was three.:(

  3. And are you just defending the BBW area because you don't want to see SoB go? :P

actually no, i'm not defending the bbw area because i don't want Son of Beast gone, i'm defending it because to me, and also others, the area bbw sets on looks closer to the land depicted in the computer animation.

  4. a good amount of coasters end up setting on land that's topo. doesn't look like what it did when it's project started. look at Diamondback for example, or even Firehawk.

anyway, the land to start out with looks much closer, imo, to the computer animation at the big bad wolf site, but i have been wrong many, many times before and with saying that, i'm not going to rule out what your ideas are, especially since nothing has been released other than the computer model.

as for the myth busted comment earlier, that was me trying to be humorous, but i guess it didn't work, but i still believe that the bbw site is a closer match than Son of Beast's

*i've also noticed that terpy hasn't been commenting anymore in this thread, i think that one of the two of us is on the right track.:)

  5. your far right box could easily be where the "town" scene is on bbw, and as for the middle box, all it would take would be a little bit of dirt moving to have that area more flattened at the base of the valley. even though it's not as clear as in the animation, if you look back at the first screen shot you posted of the bbw area, you can see a slight jut in the side of the hill on the south side of the lift.

i still feel that the computer graphic looks more like this area than Son of Beast's.

  6. the two areas i boxed is the part i'm referring to as "the mountain" and you can see where from that point the two areas are nearly identical, if in your mind you rotate them to be at the same angle.:

credit goes to jackson for screen shot of bbw location.

  7. you are looking at the bbw location from the wrong angle, those two areas (computer animation & google maps) are identical, look where the bottom of the lift wraps around the piece "mountain" and then look where there is the level spot in the animation going from behind the lift and wrapping around the side of the "mountain" they are the same area.

i'm calling your myth busted. :)

  8. actually i think it does look pretty close to the big bad wolf's location, and you can see that where the lift hill is currently for bbw, that is about where the lift is on the mystery coaster, and what would be on the right of the lift is a hill that is taller than the lift, like what is shown in the computer animation.

  9. i know that when you look at pictures, (can't say from experience), Son of Beast does have elevation changes, but from the looks of the pictures the elevation changes don't seem to match up with the ones in the computer animation of the mystery wooden coaster, unless the fact that Son of Beast is so dag gone massive that it makes the elevation change seem much less than what it really is.
