MiceChat Visits Great Adventure
Six Flags Great America Adventure always is towards the top of parks I want to visit. The atmosphere looks great, and so do the rides. Seems worth the trip! EDIT: I always type America when I mean Adventure!

How much roller coasting can you take?
I rode Diamondback 12 times in an hour. I felt fine, but my friend felt like throwing up after 9 on the same train. I think I could go as long as I'd like, but I will have to see if I do CFK next year if I really can take 100+ rides!

Flight Deck Removal?
^As I am aware of, no. If it is true or not, we will find out after this weekend.

The best new coaster debuting in 2013 in North America will be...
^Is this what has happened to Flying Turns? I just remember how the speed and wheels were not satisfactory.

^ The announcement seemed to be made for the 80s!

SF new for 2013
SF seems to be doing some cool things. Iron Rattler looks awesome! I like the hybridization of these older, rough wooden coasters. Seems to me that SF was very happy with the New Texas Giant to do a second project. Full Throttle is interesting, the backwards launch seems weird to me as it isn't for a major section of the ride, yet I bet it will be cool riding on it. igNIGHT seems like SF's Luminosity, I have to wonder if it will top it or even come close. I also like the attention placed on waterparks, and Black Hole of Doom 4D, if done right, could be a great slide.

B&M Giga and Hyper or a Intamin Giga and hyper
^ Unless KI's height limit is 399 feet as I've read previously. I still anticipate a ride with the strata height and a full course. If it ever happens, it's very far in the future.

Halloween Haunt 2012
If you aren't going to go into all the mazes, you are probably better off not buying the pass and waiting. I am always VERY excited for Haunt. Personally, it is my favorite time to go to the park. Having all the different things to do, and the completely different atmosphere makes it seem like a different place. Sure the mazes aren't the scariest, but they are a lot of fun. I can't wait for this year's Haunt and what will be offered inside The Crypt.

Gold Striker at CGA 108.2 Feet High 53.7 MPH
http://www.cagreatamerica.com/goldstriker Sorry if there is already a thread, I couldn't find it. Seems like another GCI loaded with pops of airtime! Seems to be similar to Thunderhead, and I will love if it if just as intense.

Kings Dominion Teaser
Or maybe it's an accelerator, or not a launched ride at all?

Announcements
^ I personally would prefer that Cedar Fair operated this way. It's always great hearing about the exciting attractions coming the next year all on the same day. The only advantage I can see is more elaborate announcements, but in my opinion, none of Cedar Fair's haven't been good enough for me to prefer them to a simple online announcement.

Kings Island Enthusiast Dude videos
I've always thought they perpetuated a stereotype of enthusiasts.

Parking lot coasters
There was also a drifting feature built into the cars that was never utilized. Add in the speaker system that didn't work. I truly believe that if everything planned had been done it could have been one of the best family coasters around, now it's just a shell of what it could have been.

Control Panels
It is a pretty fun simulator, until you have to wait for the station to fill before you can load the ride.

ERT/Rope Drop/X-Base Questions
Most of the time it has been done this year, it has really helped with the packed station. Glad they're doing it.

ERT/Rope Drop/X-Base Questions
Welcome to KIC! It's always great to get new members! 1. Usually, there is a gate with a small opening with a sign above reading, "Gold Pass Early Entry" or something along those lines. All you have to do is flash your pass and they let you walk through. 2. The rope drop works like most other parks. The national anthem plays, rope drops, and the running of the bulls commences. If you wish to get to X-Base, the best spot is by the Eiffel Tower. 3. Flight of Fear is pretty accommodating for front seat rides, while Firehawk isn't. If you are there early enough in the morning, Firehawk ops may let you since the crowd won't be as bad. I'd recommend heading to Firehawk first thing after the rope drop.

Roller Soaker at Hersheypark listed for sale
http://www.ldnews.com/latestnews/ci_21382505/roller-coaster-not-sale I have to wonder if it really was for sale, and Hersheypark is not ready to announce it, or if it really won't be leaving soon.

LA Times: Top Ten Roller Coasters At Kings Island
I just don't get it. Uninformed authors who feel the need to write about the top 10 coasters at a park where there are only 13! May as well write a little blurb about all of them.

Kings Island 8-22
As Terpy said, a guest could misinterpret this: "I'm sorry, one of the restraints seems to be malfunctioning and we can't send the train out until it's fixed." As: "One of the restraints malfunctioned during the ride and a person fell out." It is surprising what some will believe about a ride. I heard from multiple people in my school that one of WindSeeker's seats flew off into the parking lot, and that The Crypt was closed because the gondola fell off. Some information doesn't belong in the hands of the GP.

New Giga what?
I know that this year, the trains did not arrive in time for testing. Thus delaying it until 2013. Of course I may be wrong, but I believe they were delayed from 2011 due to Holiday World wanting to see how they worked out for other parks before they put them on the ride.

The Dollywood Company President Ken Bell Retires Dec 2012
A happy retirement to him! Dollywood is a great park, and I'm glad that he was able to grow it into such a great place. Hopefully Mr. Ross can keep the company at its best.

Kolkata amusement park accident: authorities say visitors ignored warnings
I have to wonder if there was any way to keep this amount of people from being on the slide at once. It seems crazy that about 20 people on a slide at once can cause it to collapse. Glad that everyone made it out alive.

Roller Soaker at Hersheypark listed for sale
What did you dislike about Skyrush? I've heard great things about it, but have also heard that the restraints made the immense amounts of airtime painful.
