As much as I love Chick-Fil-A's chicken, it is hard knowing that 2 cents of my meal will be benefiting an anti-gay association. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and to donate to whomever they agree with. I believe the big stink is because of the fact I stated earlier, some of the profit the company makes off of you, is benefiting something I and others do not support. Yet, when Oreo recently came out as pro-gay, I believe that those against gay marriage have just as much right as you and I to boycott and protest. While I may disagree, there is no reason I can deny a person's right to support what they believe in.

Prepare for the worst. People, especially adults, do not like being told a teenager knows more than them. Even if it is true. Also, Cedar Point seems to run their Fast Lane really well in regards to making the wait not much longer for the regular line. On Maverick and Millennium Force, it still can be a 30 minute wait before you are let into the station. Based on past experiences in the line from prior years, the line did not feel like it was moving slower than it did without Fast Lane.

^It's sad how the moment someone expresses a different opinion, they are attacked. Even worse when you are a teenager. Seems like there are many adults who won't listen to a teenagers opinion, because of their age.

I remember reading that on rides such as Drop Tower, the seatbelt is mainly there to gauge if a person is too big to ride. If the seatbelt can't close, then the restraint is not far enough down for the ride to operate. This helps the ride ops know whether someone can ride, without the head op saying, "Seat 32 is not locked."

Wolf Pack will be back this season and beyond. I wonder where in the park it will be relocated. If the same props are all reused, I would see it as an indoor maze. Possibly a whole new building?
-
Speaking in possibility, had RCCA actually done the construction of the ride, could SOB still be running today? It would be interesting to see whether it was truly the design of the ride, or just poor construction of Paramount's part.

It wouldn't surprise me if they were the only ones willing to build a 200ft, looping, wooden coaster. Regardless, even if a park wanted those records, they seemed like a poor company to build any wooden coaster at all!

How could you live without great quotes such as "Hatchbay, check the media feed now!" "Very funny, Major. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame me." "We don't know if this thing is false or genuine. We haven't completed our testing yet. Diiiiiick." "Richard." "Please, Diiick." With awkward handshake. "What the blazes was that?" And the fantastic electrocution screaming with head shake. Whenever I'm in line I reenact it.

^I've read some confusing posts from you Terpy, but this takes the cake!

^Verbolten has no inversions in the show building.
-
An inversion doesn't necessarily make a ride better. I've always loved the roll into the launch on that ride. Seems like a great way to build anticipation as you go around that turn.

I would be all for a Haunt meet up, I would love to meet some of you guys! Great report ohiocolts! Makes me wish even more I was there.

^^^It wouldn't surprise me if we will be seeing supports in Demon Drop's old area. If not, then it was removed for the move of Ocean Motion for the construction of WindSeeker. ^At least we'd get greeted at the front of the line!

Kings Island selling "Beast Backstage Tours" for $25
beastrider97 replied to McSalsa's topic in Kings Island
Can you earn a tour through Fun Perks? I believe that these tours were advertised as a reward when Fun Perks first started. -
I'd not suggest you walk up to the people who got broken bones on the ride, one of whom got a judgment against the park after a multi-day jury trial, and tell them they are sissies. By the way, the park's General Manager was not happy with the ride experience. Does that make him a sissy, too? The park just announced a very difficult business decision, with many, varied factors to be considered. I'm sure the annoyance of people like you was one of the factors considered, but it was far outweighed by guest safety, comfort, maintenance costs, reliability, liability, and a host of other factors. It is what it is. nobody got broken bones on the SOB.? my god it isn't that bad. Really? In addition to the broken sternums in July 2006, there were at least two earlier reported incidents of broken necks and many others of other broken bones. Sissies? i really enjoy the ride. people should take warning that the ride is rough before they get on, or if they have prior medical issues. that sucks people were injured, but have you ever been on the ride.? it's not bad at all. even after the loop was removed. i loved it. & its very special to people who to go Kings Island on a regular basis & ride big rides. people in ohio were THRILLED when this roller coaster was unveiled, it broke so many records. this will always be my favorite ride. & how dare you call me "annoying" for sticking up for what i believe in, & something that i enjoy. & if you don't like that i speak my mind on here, don't look at my post. No ride should be rough enough to break bones.

I've always wanted to visit DCA, and it does look spectacular. It's always compared to WDW, which is unfair, as this park still looks great.

Yet, if Firehawk was being torn down, you'd be all for it. Everything is a matter of opinion, and in this case, facts.

^ I am VERY happy to hear she is doing a lot better. Best of luck to her!

I would love for the SOB station to be reused. It's nice to keep the history of the park alive, while still moving forward. Even if it's a completely different ride, it could be used. Examples being Vortex station reused from The Bat, and Maverick's queue using the old White Water Landing station.

I'm very sorry about what happened to your mother in law, and I understand the circumstance. I hope she is doing well!

I've seen Browntggrr change his avatar TWICE! I never thought I'd live to see it happen once!
