  1. I meant that two of the concrete supports were extended out to the center.
  2. And Disney, and Holiday World, and Kennywood, and Alton Towers, and Thorpe Park, and Seaworld, and and and! That would be one heck of a Platinum Pass!
  3. I went to the park for the day, crowds weren't too bad and I got to ride nearly everything. Some things I noticed: Dodgem is running the best ever, they felt faster and smoother. Easily the best ride I have had on them. Diamondback's helix support is much larger now, two supports now go out to the middle of the helix. I had a little time to waste, so my friend and I rode Flying Ace Aerial Chase. The crew running the ride at 9:40 at night was very energetic and funny. I love when they interact with the guests! Finally, there were groups of people there that were of the, "I can do what I want," variety. When I rode my usual Beast night ride, I got off and saw a security officer talking to some 19 year olds. From what I know, one was smoking a cigarette on the ride. I could tell from what him and his group were yelling. They yelled, "FU*K SECURITY," "I'm 19, I can do whatever I want." I glanced at their picture and saw him smoking the cig and his friend showing the bird to the camera. They also were riled up at a man who was wearing a Cedar Point single rider shirt for saying he was going to call security on them, which was the complete right thing to do. When we walked out the gates, I saw these fine gentlemen, the man in the single rider shirt, and a security officer. They were obviously yelling at the security guard and the man about how they can do whatever they want. As I walked away, I saw more security approach. These are the kind of people who can make a day unenjoyable, and it dissapoints me that there are people out there that act like this. I hope that they got a proper punishment, but with their attitude, I doubt that they learned a lesson.
  4. Port Aventura in Salou, Catalonia, Spain. http://www.portaventura.co.uk/theme-park/polynesia/polynesia-rides/tutuki-splash
  5. The more I read about the event, the more I want to get out to the park for the event next year. I really hope it's on a Sunday I will be available!
  6. I am mccarthysnerd and me and Son of Beast do have something in common, something that does make it possible for me to be told things by certain people of certain power over Kings Island and Cedar Fair concerning Son of Beast. Thats all I'm going to say. This has to be the silliest thing I have ever read, changing your story is not the way to get people convinced you are telling the truth. In fact, it does quite the opposite.
  7. My favorite would have to be The Voyage! While I do love The Beast, Voyage is a crazy, exhilarating adventure of a rollercoaster. I even rode it last year when it was considered the roughest it had ever been. I can't wait to go again this year to experience it in all its retracked glory!
  8. It was allowed with my souvenir cup wristband.
  9. I also love Mantis and don't find it painful. OTOH, I disagree with "it never has much of a line"; on a week last year when crappy weather created 15- to 20-minute lines for Millie, the wait for Mantis was often double that. Interesting, I've been on days where lines are 2 hours for nearly everything, and the longest I've had to wait was 15 minutes.
  10. I always find myself in the minority of liking Mantis. It has a fun layout, and it has never been painful to me. On another note, I don't think a stand-up coaster should be built at KI. Even at Cedar Point, it never has much of a line. That probably means that the majority does not like the ride. A wing-rider would please almost everyone, but with the one coming to Cedar Point next year, and whatever they are building at Canada's Wonderland, it is doubtful we will get something large next year.
  11. Wow! The whole ride looks amazing, the animatronics are easily some of the best I have seen. It will be interesting to see how it stacks up with the re-done Test Track. While they are very different types of ride, this looks better than the old Test Track.
  12. Awesome! I wish I could participate in this event, maybe next year. It's also funny noticing how every third row is empty. I wouldn't want to ride in a third row on a PTC train for more than 1 ride!
  13. Not Kings Island, but I was thinking of a cool way to shake up TTD at Cedar Point. Flip half of the trains backwards, so that in the station one train is forwards, while the other is backwards. Both experiences would rock, and the backwards train would give the experience of a rollback!
  14. You do not have to be a pass holder to buy one for $5. It is worth every cent, especially since you can get unlimited drinks from the Coke Freestyle machine, I do love me a Cherry-Vanilla Coke!
  15. Currently they are $5. You can go to almost any drink stand and they will have one. If you are there all day when it is really hot, it is worth every penny!
  16. I always preferred FoF to RNR due to each ride's ending. FoF has the insane corkscrew, while RNR just seems to meander about. Shame you didn't get on Toy Story Mania, I wish the capacity was higher on it.
  17. Toy Story Mania is an amazing ride! We got to the park at Opening and the FPs were gone within the hour. It is a really cool ride, if I went again I would wait the 2 hours for it.
  18. I know when I am there I will stand in front of it and stare. Maybe I will bring a sign that says something funny. I can't wait till July!
  19. When I went on Saturday, they launched our train when I could see the one in front of us cresting the 3rd hill. It was the closest I have ever seen a train launch to the one in front of it. I'm sure that it can't be much of a problem. I would think that the train on the course would get to the MCBR by the time the one I was on had left the lift chain, if not, the lift would stop and everything would be fine.
  20. I loved the old scooby show! I was very young at the time, and I still remember most of it. The guy who played Shaggy was always very nice and would lift me up on his shoulder.
  21. In the show I attended, almost every seat was filled. I think it was an alright show, and due to my love for Saved by the Bell, it was cool seeing Ed. Every effect seemed to work correctly, and even if the magic wasn't the best I've seen, it was enjoyable. I thought Ed swallowing the balloon was impressive, I have never seen anyone do that before!
  22. I think there is a lot more than bad luck going on with the WindSeekers,
  23. Wow, seems like more trouble is coming for the WindSeekers. It is disappointing to see how this prototype, which was built to withstand higher wind speeds than the starfliers, has so much trouble with the wind.
  24. It has registered that I have visited 5 times this year. I am unsure of the amount I have spent and I am still a level 1 star and no rewards available. The front of the line pass seems like an interesting reward, hopefully the employees will know what to do with them.
