Speaking of the sun, the construction workers should have nice couple of beautiful fall days to build a coaster! It is days like this when I miss doing construction work while paying for school. I need to figure out a way to get out of the office today and do some site visits.....

Skyline for me. My coworker and I go to the Newport one all the time. We go there so much that the waitress doesnt even take our order anymore. We just sit down and our food shows up!

Thats the back support lift of the crane. It is to support the bigger boom that is being assembled

Its amazing how massive everything is going to be compared to The Racer. The scale and height of Orion is going to be quite the contrast to Racer!

it is hard to see from the webcam because of all the buildings in the way, but it looks like they have a significant amount of track together and laying on the ground getting ready for Clifford to raise up

I wish that they would rotate the camera a little more to the right. It looks like a lot of activity maybe going on over there. You can just get a glimpse of it now for what is in view

I agree, I know Kings Island probably knew this at the beginning of the season and probably for some time now that Vortex was going away, but the whole way this was announced and being kinda swept under the rug seems very last minute and hasty.

Personally, I would be disappointed with changes to the main entrance. In a sense it is iconic going through the turnstiles and stepping though to the grand entrance of the fountains and international street. I remember growing up and the anticipation of what was beyond the entrance and being awed by the sounds and smells of the fountain. A coaster there interrupting that scene would be a downer for me at least.

Minor update? This is saving me $70! I bought our passes a couple of weeks ago, called this morning and Kings Island is refunding the money I spent on parking.

Thanks for the replies about Boomerang Bay, I knew it was always free in the past, just making sure that it would probably stay that way. Did not know that most Cedar Fair water parks were free, like some one said since I knew that Soak City was extra I assumed they all were. Thanks!

Any idea if Boomerang bay will still be free for next year? Or are they going to charge for the water park like the other Cedar Fair parks? My wife likes to hang out there with our 1 year old while I go to the park with our other son.
