If we get those awful PTC trains.... I think you misunderstand my concern.. On my screen 2 posts above mine is someone asking if the supports were steel.Ahhhh makes more sense lol... -
Decoding Episode 2.5: BONUS ROUND! Second Announcement!
calakapepe replied to jcgoble3's topic in Kings Island
This second announcement clearly isn't as exciting as Mystic Timbers, and apparently not even fully figured out as of the 28th. But it's very difficult to determine the 2nd announcement because we dont have anything to really go off of. We don't even know if it's a ride, or a refurbishment of an existing ride *shrug* Right now, the marketing department seems to want us to speculate on what's inside the shed. Whatever will be there, hopefuly exiting riders won't spoil the surprise -

I hope it still actually feels like you're in the woods though. Especially when you're closer to the train shed and about to cross the lagoon again.. there arent many trees there as it stands -

Yeah, I'm dying to know how the train is getting into the station and how the MT paths are getting over the train, or if it doesn't need to! -

I'm kind of a fan of Mystic Timbers. Without a theme.. bleh.. but since it seems to have a theme to it, I think it holds potential.. It should grow on us. At least it's not Backlot Stunt Coaster or Flight Deck. BTW the POV seems to have quite a wide FOV which makes things seem more drawn out than it will actually be. Soooo... what's the retaining wall going to be for? Is construction answer the for sure answer? -

I think there is one safe bet for the theming with this ride.. and that's textured lighting. To some capacity anyways -

Could be. Looks like there could be a block right before the station, as well as the shed, and then the block before the shed.. Seems like enough! -

Some people were even disappointed with the addition of Banshee and Diamondback. You have to wait and see. Use your imagination. Actually surprised that I was somewhat close on my guess. Anyways the ride looks like what would happen if The Beast and The Racer had a baby. AKA it probably will be a very fun ride especially at night. Still confused like the rest of you on what Greg meant by there being two major announcements for 2017. Also, does this mean we have to start a decoding episode 2.5 topic for #WhatsInTheShed? lol The GCI guy said they used Racer and Beast as inspiration so... makes sense! --- Also.. No one is happy that we are getting trick-track at Kings Island again since King Cobra left? But this time with VERY comfortable seats!... unless alterations are made to the trains later on in typical KI fashion. I'm still very interested in how the train getting back from Soak City will work out and the paths for getting from the entrance plaza to the Station. -

Hmm.. show rooms at the end of the ride? That first one could end up being a free-fall drop in there.. It would have to relift up if that were the case.. so perhaps not.. but a story could easily be made where you are hoisted up. (What's the amount of downtime of Wonder Mountain's Guardian like? Does the lift stay operating usually?) Either way, it looks like there will be a nice immersive theme to this coaster (finally).. Like a nice little stepping stone to getting a sort of immersion that Mystery Mine achieves. BTW the trains remind me of The New Texas Giant -

Frequently, the smaller characters, like Snoopy, are dudettes. In this case almost certainly a VERY hot dudette. Terp -- WAIT, did he really say THAT? Though, there could easily be just as many guys as girls that fit the height limit. Before we assume every character is a girl. I wasn't assuming you were specifically either [emoji14]

GCI Prowler-esque layout (kinda out and back, but GCI typical twistiness) at least one inversion Maybe reclaiming the record for the most wooden coaster track, No name guesses.
-
Which was nice, but a little confusing why this was the first time that happened (That I recall)There has been more than one day that have been equally as hot as today was. The only other time I noticed that sort of practice was at Holiday World

It's a shame that's not on a weekend this year! I known the ren faire would LOVE to welcome that small addition to their festivities [emoji14]

For the record.. the blue truck from the announcement invites are Chevys. It's clearly labeled. And I was gonna try to see this stuff on the train thia after noon around 5 but the train never came after 30 minutes of waiting... I left and walked to the "other" park -

We also seemed to know more about Banshee prior to the announcement than we do this time around -

Yes! Where's the Enterprise? Where's a Rotor type ride? I would love a working Screamin Swing style ride (shade thrown) And honestly a ride that merged Scrambler and Shake Rattle and Roll would be amazing. Swinging bobs, with the scrambler motion, how SRR starts, before the lift off, would be great. Low to the ground and fast, and comfortable unlike Scrambler. I'd enjoy rock o planes buuuttt.. that'd be terrible capacity lol -

Laat I checked, Voyage has negative gs, laterals (maybe not as much as Legend or Beast, but it's definitely there), and IMO it has great pacing too.You are allowed to despise the ride, but doesnt the ride check all the points you just said make a coaster? It has speed too (like El Toro, which you prefer); not mere speed. Confused. -
I think if they did it, the end of the week would be better, despite the beginning being ON the 25th
