Cedar Point 2016 Talk
calakapepe replied to Bansheeback's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
If it is a conversion. I hope it's either RMC or GCI. If it's RMC, I hope it's not the I box -
All I know is, I hope they get the lagoon crossing constructed before the hard winter hits
-
There's going to be some great shots of this coaster.. through the woods while you're in line of WWC or the exit, more likely.. the first drop, great. The shed?... oh lol Maybe that's where the photo spot might be.
-
Yes. They just dropped their new album yesterday. Look for Street Drum Corp. The group at Kings Island will be using the new music. Its 5 songs and around 23 minutes long. They will also be selling the CDs in the park. Not sure if these will have more songs on them or not. Im glad there'll be some new music finally... well. I'm presume all the songs are new. I at least want a new intro haha
-
New blood drums? They put blood drums on iTunes?
-
Go Sunday or Friday evening depending on whether you want a regular park experience, or a Haunt experience
-
Now they can mix the concrete straight in the troughs themselves! #notserious Side note, the time stamp on the webcam is the real time, and the video shown has a delay of at least 49 seconds, I think *shrug *
-
They could call it the spoiler package. No surprises for you! But in all seriousness, I think a VIP package for that.. unless it also incorporated some food .. would only sell a lot for a year, maybe two. Maybe only offer it, every 3 years or so.. ------ The rest of the park is opened, the monsters can usually be seen around an hour to 30 minutes before mazes open walking to their prospective mazes, if I recall correctly.
-
I think the employees were just happy not to have the same 15 songs on all day.
-
I dont blame you. I wouldn't buy an extra ticket in addition to a pass unless I had another reason to go. Especially when it's not my parade. Pun not intended. Hope everyone has fun that will be there tonight! You'll likely see me.. and not know it!

Okay good. I guess that's okay as long as it's private. I would just think that many people who don't support it might hear about the event. And they might not want to support the park by going in the future. It would be pretty sad to see KI lose money.(And I'm just speculating, I have no idea if KI would lose a lot of money or not. So if I'm wrong please don't attack me XD) I think it'd be pretty sad to boycott a park because they allow ONE evening for the LGTBQ community to have a private, non-free, event that affects no one else haha I don't imagine KI would be sad to see such people never return. And they shouldn't, if people like that act in such a way.
-
It's not so much a controversial topic. It's a private day when people of the LGBT community can celebrate their pride away from the scrutiny of misinformed folk. (Was that nice enough?) You must buy a ticket for this event. Season passers arent welcomed without a specific ticket, ergo you have to KNOW it's an LGBQ event. Open to all that are willing.

I only ruled out typical extra high footers because of the dirt they put in the lagoon to access the other side of it. How close it is to what seems to be the intended path of the coaster. What do I know though?

Cincinnati Zoo evacuated
calakapepe replied to Pepsi's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Yes. That's when your freedom is limited. You can't actually, nor convince people, that their lives are in danger. The ole' *shouting "fire" in a movie theatre* senario lesson -
I'll be there.. sorta
-
I'd imagine for the lagoon crossing too. I still am curious how they intend to have that crossed. It looks like simply having taller footings is out of the question. Maybe something like Ravine Flyer II?
-
Maybe B&M has some additional service where they will build an animation of the ride for your announcement, or maybe the park just needed to shave a couple bucks. Not that I imagine using NL2 instead really saves THAT much dough
-
Also remember how wide the field of view was in the animation, yes?
-
Company buyouts and also Pride Night (exclusive ticket fee) takes place just before Haunt
-
.... and their atypical water coaster...ssss.
-
Thanks to the people that regularly, and occasionally post photos of the constructions areas
-
Not to mention the old funnel cake building is the first thing you see on the satellite image ground when the train comes out of the station. We already know exactly where the station is, and therefore if it crosses the tracks.. idk why it took me this long to realize that..
-
If we did then we already knew it was a wooden roller coaster. Even though we've suspected it for a long time. It's hard to figure out a manufacturer for steel roller coasters when it's just footers. But the lack of footers earlier has nothing to do with marketing and keeping the ride hush hush.. they just didnt need to start pouring footers yet in order to finish on time (which is what initially surprised me). If they needed to have the footers in earlier AND they cared about the announcement being a surprise (which it wasnt) then they would've announced earlier .
-
I'm just surprised we didnt have footers as early as we did with Banshee
